Gee Doc, But I've Never Felt Better
I never even knew I was sick

According to "Rev." Laurie Hays Coffman, pastorette and head Poncho Lady-in-charge of her own little Faith Community & Express Lane To Hell, otherwise known as Calvary United Methodist Church of Durham, NC, is committed to full inclusion of all people, particularly gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender people, and to publicizing itself this way.

Fine, if she insists upon turbo-charging her trip to The Lower Rings, that's her call. But what I find amusing is her own description of the type of folks who commiserate with her and her posse of Fruits and Nuts.

"We are black and white, old and young, American and international, gay and straight, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, recovering Catholics and fundamentalists, unchurched, dechurched, rechurched, liturgical, sacramental and young families with children."

"Recovering"? (I just love those 'tolerant' liberals)

Ohhh... I get it. If I actually agree with what Sacred Scriptures states about sodomy, AND if I happen to disagree with Poncho Lady Coffman's twisting of same Sacred Scriptures, then I'm obviously sick and in desperate need of "recovery".

Is it just me, or is this broad pretty twisted? But then again, she considers some guy sloshing his penis around in another dude's feces filled colon to be "normal".

Silly me.

Why Can't It Be Great To Be White?
More liberal hypocrisy

I had an interesting conversation with some co-workers the other day. They was livid that someone actually had the gall to wear a "It's Great To Be White" t-shirt. And of all places... the campus of the local university! Keep in mind that many of my co-workers make Ted Kennedy look like a John Bircher.

Anyhow, I just had to ask them "well, maybe he's proud to be White. That's OK, isn't it?"

And the predictable knee-jerk reactions kicked in.... "That's intolerant! Uninclusive! Not in this day and age!". Blah, blah, blah... wonk, wonk, wonk.

I gently pointed out to my co-workers, if a young Black man wore a shirt proclaiming his ethnic pride... or a Latina sported a button proclaiming the same... wouldn't they be congratulated for being "culturally and ethnically aware"? Predictably, my co-workers agreed.

So then I asked the $64,000 Question, "Can't Whites be proud to be White? I have a 'Celtic Pride' bumper sticker on my truck, as well as a 'Proud To Be Guamanian' license plate frame. Does that make me half racist, and half culturally aware?"

But alas, to no avail. As one of my co-workers said to me, "that shirt is inappropriate because of the history of racism associated with Whites". And I just had to respond, "I thought you liberals were against holding the children accountable for the sins of the fathers. And let's not forget the very real possibility that the White kid in question very well may not have a racist bone in his body. Maybe he just simply is proud to be White."

All I got from there was the deer in the headlights look.

Random Thoughts On A Friday Evening
As I listen to my Padres battle for the NL West crown

Is it humanly possible for a Democrat to vote a straight party ticket?

Why should I go to prison for destroying an unhatched Bald Eagle egg, but won't for destroying an unborn human being?

When will PreVatII post again?

Is it true that the only thing that doesn't change at a Jesuit's Mass is the bread and wine?

Why to liberals think I need the government to protect me from me?

And as I've asked before... why the hell should I have to press 1 for English?

Rearranging Deck Chairs on The Titanic, USCCB Style
Irrelevant since 1968

Looks as if the USCCB is at it again.

At a time when Catholicism in America is in an absolute free fall, what pressing concerns does the USCCB take head-on? The Lavender Mafia, creeping Protestantism, graft, corruption, cover-ups?

Naaah, nothing that heady.

In a perfect example of having their priorities totally screwed-up, the USCCB tackles the epitome of evil in our time.... McDonald’s.

Yep, they're going after McDonald's to work for better wages and working conditions for Florida tomato pickers. This may be presumptuous of me, but don't the Catholic bishops of this country have more important things to deal with?

Keep this in mind when you see or hear of yet another Catholic "bishop" singing the praises of a pro-abortion "Catholic" politicians. Keep this in mind when you see or hear of yet another Catholic "bishop" who lends his cathedral to heretics and pagans for their abominable craft. Keep this in mind when you see or hear of yet another Catholic "bishop" forking out millions of dollars in sex abuse settlements.

But when all else fails, redirect attention elsewhere.

I can just see these guys rewriting Sacred Scriptures... Exodus 32:4. And when he had received them, he fashioned them by founders' work, and made of them Arches of Gold. And they said: These are thy gods, O Israel, that have brought thee out of the land of Egypt. We shall super-size.

"Read my lips: No new Muslims."
How the GOP can still win big in November

Readers may recall that there was a time not all that long ago when newcomers to America had to take an oath that they were not and had not been associated with the Nazi party.

Couldn't we make everyone entering the country swear, in terms that no Muslim could pronounce--even disingenously--without eternally damning himself to Islamic Hell*, that they are not Mohammedans?

We'd have to be very careful in how we drafted the oath, of course, since the Koran actually encourages Muslims to lie whenever it aids the cause of jihad. So, it would probably have to involve something that the "I slam, you slam, we all slam for Islam" crowd would consider a serious sacrilege.

We could, perhaps, make them draw a cartoon of Mohammed with the caption "Mohammed was a demon-possessed pedophile."

I'm not sure how well it would work, but the above would make for one hell of a winning political slogan.

* Islamic Hell: The state of being one of six dozen sex slaves to a foul-smelling, ignorant and murderous Islamic "martyr" who blows himself to bits in hopes of having the opportunity to score with 72 virgins in "paradise."

Execute Child Molesters

That's our stand. Are you in good hands?

Not if you take your cues from the National Catholic Reporter.

As incredibly appalling and unbelievable as it seems, the folks over at NCR saw fit last year to publish an article aimed at helping us see the good side of Paul Shanley, one of the most terrible monsters ever to don a Roman collar.

One of the relatively few priests whose victims were actually young children--as opposed to the teenage boys favored by most of the scores of homosexual priests whose perversion gave us the worst scandal in Church history--this piece of Satanic garbage not only raped numerous children, but very publicly supported the unfathomable wickedness promoted by the heinous National Man Boy Love Assocation (NAMBLA).

Paul Shanley is a poster-child for not just capital punishment, but makes a strong case for even the most brutal forms of torture ever conceived by man.

But the National Catholic Reporter thinks we should balance out consideration of Shanley's unspeakable crimes against his wonderful, couragous work as . . . wait for it! . . . a gay rights activist.

Where's Torquemada when we need him?

Victim's Name Tattooed On Child
Killer's Forehead
Don't worry... the cons will do what the 'justice' system failed to do

Anthony Stockelman is serving a life sentence for molesting and murdering 10 year-old Katie Collman. Police initially believed she was abducted and slain so she would not reveal methamphetamine activity in her neighborhood.

Stockelman plead guilty in order to avoid the death penalty in connection with child's slaying.

Stockelman was found with the words "Katie's Revenge" tattooed on his forehead. Katie's father John Neace heard about it from friends, and figures other prisoners are responsible.

Officials said Stockelman is now being held in protective custody.

This scumbag's literally a marked man. Speaking as someone who worked in the Prison System for a period after I retired from the Marine Corps, I feel confident in saying that his days are numbered.

Stockelman should have chosen to ride the needle. When the cons are done with him, his own mother won't recognize him. It'll be shank-a-rific. A veritable shank-ucopia. Or as the kids say.... shankapalooza.

And it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Get Ready For A Shocker, Sports Fans!
Well, at least she didn't call him "The Great"

What do you do with a gal who --

~ Refers to Pope John Paul II an “unbelievable misogynist.”

~ Also states that the former pontiff "did not like women and spent the entirety of his 26 years as pope working to put them in their 'place.'"

~ Describes herself as a “cafeteria Catholic”.

~ She wrote on the Sacrament of confession that she had done “a number of things that the Catholic church (sic) would technically consider confessable sins, although I don't necessarily think they're bad.”

~ She wrote, “The idea behind Reconciliation is that one should only confess those sins for which one is actually sorry and desires absolution.” (emphasis mine)

~ Has referred to the College of Cardinals as "... a bunch of old conservative guys who generally share the most recent pope’s reactionary approach to gender politics".

So what do we do with a "Catholic" like this? Simple! Make her the editor of the Archdiocese of Anchorage newspaper!

Mary Gore, assistant to the Anchorage Archbishop Roger L. Schwietz, said “I’m not sure what the Archbishop is going to do”. And in what will shock absolutely none of us, Gore went on to say, "right now Archbishop Schwietz is sticking by his editor."

Who screwed-up and authorized this moron to be consecrated a bishop? Oops, I think we all know the answer to that one.

Copper Thieves Killed Cutting Into Power Lines
A whole new meaning to 'cop a feel'

Nationwide, police report copper thieves stealing wires from air conditioning units, exposed pipes from underneath homes, vases from graveyards in Sumter, S.C., and bells from a church in Yonkers, N.Y.

At least seven men in five states have been fatally electrocuted since July while hacking through power lines to steal wire made of copper, which has been commanding near-record prices, police say.

This is just The Almighty's little way of proving;

1. He meant what He said about 'Thou Shalt Not Steal'.

2. He really does have a quirky sense of humor.

The same guy who said that kneeling during some of the most solemn parts of the Mass were a "mortal sin"... the same guy who never found a heretic he didn't love... the same guy who canceled the only Traditional Latin Mass in his diocese, now extends his loving arms to Traditional Catholics everywhere with the following;

So-called bishop, Todd "The Wad" Brown now tells Traditional Catholics in Orange County, CA, that "...the restoration of the Tridentine Mass at your parish at this time would only cause greater disunity and confusion".

What an absolute and utter spit in the face to hundreds and hundreds years of Catholicism, Popes, Saints, and millions upon millions of lay faithful.

You know what, Hot Toddie? The only one causing disunity and confusion is YOU and the rest of the Roman Protestants who prance amongst the Fruits and Nuts that gravitate in the orbit of Roger "The Dodger" Ma-Phoney up in La-La Land.

WARNING! Harsh language alert

The stupidity of liberals never ceases to amaze me. These idiots have realized the obvious concerning the war in Iraq. To wit; the amount of al-Qaeda terrorists making tracks for Iraq has grown.

NEWS FLASH --- that's where the war is, you dumb-asses.

What in the hell did the media elite expect the terrorists to do... sit at home, sharpen their knives, screw the donkey, read the koran, and beat their wives?

As Charles Krauthammer pointed out today on Fox News, during WWII when we closed in on the Home Islands of Japan, recruitment in the Kamikazes went through the roof. Did that mean we should have stopped fighting?

Well, if today's Democrats were in charge back then, we would have surrendered to Japan on Dec. 8th, 1941.

A Schismatic Act
And Cletus Gives Optimism a Try

Despite the poorly-worded headline,
this Chicago Sun-Times story is not about a homosexual polygamist Catholic archbishop ordaining his "husbands" as fellow bishops.

Of course it isn't. Don't be ridiculous! Things haven't gotten that bad--at least not yet.

After all, it's not like we're Anglicans.

No, no, no. This is just a story about an archbishop who previously got "married" at a Moonie mass wedding ceremony and has now taken it upon himself to ordain some other married guys as "Roman Catholic bishops."

You see, things aren't as bad as they seem at first glance. Repeat after me: "The cup is not 90% empty. It's 10% full." Now, don't you feel better?

Besides, there really is good reason for optimism as we look forward to what will likely come next for the archbishop in question, since, if memory serves,
illicit episcopal ordinations aren't very well-received by the folks at the home office in Rome.

Update: Vatican says Milingo has been excommunicated.

This Is Just Too Damn(nable) Much For Me To Take
"The Lord is already much offended"

In what is being reported as a "concert Mass" and a "performance", the Archdiocese of Milwaukee has gone just too damn far.

To commemorate the September 11th attacks, the Archdiocese sponsored some sort of ecumenical bastardization of a Mass. Complete with secular readings, secular music, readings from the heretical koran and pagan Hindu texts... all while using portions of the Traditional Latin Mass.

Oh, and before I forget... during this performance mass, a moslem soloist screeched out the heretical 'Call to Prayer' singing Lord grant us strength to die!

Charming... utterly charming.

St. Louis, G.K. Chesterton--and Ann Coulter!

That's right, Ann "we should invade their countries, kill their leaders, and convert them to Christianity" Coulter.

In an article at Renew America, Steve Kellmeyer provides further support for the unfashionable truth that, even for Christians, sometimes violence really is the answer:

When war is waged in order to protect the innocent and turn the wicked from their ways, it is an expression of love. That is why St. Paul, in his first letter to the Corinthians, could demand a sinner be turned out of the community, turned over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh so that his soul might be saved on the last day. This kind of language is precisely the kind of language the earliest Christians used constantly in explaining the Gospels. They understood that war is necessary because love sometimes requires it.

That understanding has never left Catholic Faith. G. K. Chesterton quotes St. Louis, who followed St. Paul one thousand years later, as saying, "I must either convince the pagan (Muslim) of the rightness of Catholic Faith or thrust my sword through his body as far as it will go." St. Louis was just paraphrasing St. Paul. Ann Coulter simply repeats the wisdom of both. History demonstrates the problem: while Islam and Christendom are both in the world, there will be war.

And, yes, that's Saint Louis, for you pacifists out there. Read the whole thing.

Vigil Mass at Noon?

I recently attended Sunday Mass at noon--on a Saturday.

It is well known that the Sunday obligation is fulfilled by attending Mass on Saturday evening. Opinions vary, however, as to the definition of "evening" in this context.

Dictionary.com offers the following definitions:

evening

1) The period of decreasing daylight between afternoon and night.
2) The period between sunset or the evening meal and bedtime.

Anyway you slice it, noon doesn't exactly seem to qualify as "evening," does it?

I had been curious about the Saturday noon Sunday vigil Mass at Immaculate Conception parish here in Jacksonville for quite some time. On account of anticipated travel and associated logistical difficulties, the curiosity became a welcome convenience one recent weekend.

Had it been a squishier, less traditional parish, I would have been more inclined to question the notion that 12:00 noon might qualify as part of the evening. But this was Immaculate Conception, the most traditional parish in town. What's more, the priest celebrating the noon-vigil was one of the most highly-respected and holiest of Our Lord's ministers in these parts.

What's more yet, our own truly outstanding bishop was surely aware of this long-standing practice at Immaculate Conception and had at least implicitly approved of it by allowing it to continue.

I was, therefore, entirely comfortable attending the Saturday noon-vigil Mass and attending to other business on Sunday.

Ok, not entirely. So, I did a quick Google search and found this interesting article, which reaches the conclusion that evening begins at 4:00 PM.

Still, I'm generally alright with IC's noon-vigil, thanks to Dictionary.com's fourth and final definition of "evening":

4) Chiefly Southern U.S.: The time from noon to twilight.

I figure, without binding guidance as to the definition of the word "evening," it is reasonable to assume that the ordinary, local usage would prevail.

And Jacksonville is nothing if not Southern.

As for you Yankees and Left Coasters, there's still no excuse for you.

By Their Fruits You Shall Know Them
Yet another bitter fruit of the 'Spirit of Vatican II'

Below is a section of the local yellow pages I saved from a few years back. But before I go further, I would like to point out that there really is a heretical little freak show officially known as The Liberal Catholic Church.

With that said, why in God's Name would a parish of the Catholic Diocese of Raleigh have themselves designated in the phone book as The Liberal Catholic Church?

I've been to that particular parish. "Liberal" is an understatement. The phrase "ecclesiastically sterile" comes to mind. But concerning the Liberal Catholic bit, you could call the former pastor, "Father" Jim Behan and ask why. On second thought... don't call.

Know why? "Father Jimmy" is no longer at Inaccurate Deception. You see, he was recently convicted of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and corruption of minors when he performed oral sex on a teenager on multiple occasions from 1978 to 1980, when he taught religion at Northeast Catholic High School for Boys in Pennsylvania. Yep, another Sphincterista on the loose.

Isn't it amazing the fruit that falls from the tree of Liberalism?

They Stood Up To Them Once
They'll stand up to them again

145 years ago, the state of South Carolina stood up to a repressive Federal Government. Today, SC stands up to an ineffective Federal Government.

State lawmakers began meeting last week to discuss proposals they hope will give South Carolina some of the toughest laws against illegal immigration in the country.

According to Sen. Jim Ritchie, R-Spartanburg, “we are increasingly frustrated by the inability of the federal government to enforce its laws”

Here're the specifics --

• Require people to show proof of legal residence before receiving local, state or federal benefits administered by the state

• Require contractors working for the state to verify their employees’ legal status through a federal verification program

• Authorize local law enforcement to enforce federal immigration laws

• Call for jail personnel to check the legal status of anyone charged with a felony or DUI and notify federal immigration officials if the person is not a citizen.

It's about damn time... and another reason as to why States Rights aren't just a couple of dirty words.

Oath Of Fidelity
It's The LAW!

As we used to say in the Marine Corps... this is pretty damn piss poor. There are well over 230 Catholic colleges and universities in the United States, and less than 20 have fulfilled the Canon Law requirement for the taking of the Oath of Fidelity to the Magesterium.

I know it's not a requirement for them, but I can't help but wonder how many Secondary and Primary Catholic schools have ever bother to do such. Hmmm.... Probably too overtly Catholic for most.

But anyhow, for those who don't know where to look, the Oath of Fidelity is right here. It's nothing reactionary. Nothing outlandish. Nothing unreasonable.

In fact, it's actually quite stunning in it's adherance to the very basics of Catholicism. Maybe that's why most schools won't do it.

When Murderers Are More Important Than The Victims
Yet another justice-challenged, weak-kneed bishop
WARNING! Harsh language alert

Bishop Samuel Aquila of North Dakota sounds as if he's been spending just a little too much time with 12 year olds. No... I don't mean that. I'll explain at the end of this post.

The good bishop is coming out against the upcoming execution of a certain piece of shit named Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. who kidnapped, raped, tortured, and then slashed the throat of University of North Dakota student, Dru Sjodin (pronounced Shu-deen), 22.

Said piece of shit, Rodriguez had been released from jail in May of 2003 after completing a 23-year prison term for stabbing and trying to kidnap a woman. Rodriguez had also previously pleaded guilty to raping another woman.

Sjodin's body was found partially nude and face down in a ravine. Her hands were tied behind her back and she had been beaten, stabbed, sexually assaulted, and had several lacerations including a five and a half inch cut on her neck. A rope was also tied around her neck and remnants of a shopping bag were found under the rope suggesting that a bag had been placed on her head. The medical examiner concluded that she had either died as a result of the major neck wound, from suffocation, or from exposure to the elements.

And what does Bishop Aquila have to say about all this? Get ready for a trip back to Grade School....

"According to some of the testimony heard, Mr. Rodriguez experienced violence as a child. He later inflicted violence as an adult".

Who gives a shit!!?? This Rodriguez ass-hole had a tough life, huh? Too damn bad. Lots of us had it tough as kids. None of us kidnap, rape, torture and then murder.

You know what Bishop Aquila, you need to start acting more like a Catholic bishop, and less like the overprotective mommy of that sack of shit.

As I've pointed out many a time on this blog, the OFFICIAL Teaching of the Church is that the death penalty is authorized in cases of extreme gravity. If this isn't a case of extreme gravity, I don't know what is.

Along the lines of Aquila conducting himself like a Catholic bishop... how come I haven't read a damn thing about him saying or doing ANYTHING for Dru or the Sjodin family? No Rosaries, no Novenas, no Masses said for her soul or for the comfort of the family? Oh, but he'll piss all over himself defending that son of a bitch scum-bag Rodriguez, right? This really pisses me off.

Bishop Aquila also went on with this little gem "Violence only promotes violence and is not the way of Jesus Christ". Now that wasn't very well thought through. Under Aqulia's rationale, all those Marines, sailors, soldiers and Coast Guardsmen who had the bad manners to shoot back at Peal Harbor failed to "follow the way of Jesus Christ". Who screwed-up and authorized this moron to be consecrated a bishop?

I look at pictures of that poor girl, and then I think of the pure horror of her last few hours left on earth. That honestly quickly fills my heart with tears. Then I read about that idiot bishop in Fargo, and heart is slowly but surely filled with anger.

Maybe we should all remember Dru and her family tomorrow at Mass. Obviously, Bishop Aquila won't.

Surrender Your Children!
Lebensborn, 2006

Interesting anti-spanking website I came across. Are you a felony spanker?

This site is chock full of illuminating and interesting articles that even a troglodyte like me can understand. Gee, am I ever glad they these good folks are around to tell us how to raise our kids.

Check out some of their articles. My comments in red.

Physical and psychological abuse of children in the classroom. This is lib-speak for 'making children follow the rules is a bad thing'

Boot camp for kids: Torturing teens for fun and profit. The liberals are right. We should 'relate to' 14 year olds who are on the very precipice of becoming career felons. Hugs are the answer to everything.

Spanking can be sexual abuse. Only a liberal could even be perverse enough to equate the two.

Rape as punishment. As opposed to rape as reward?

Flogging for God: Violence toward children under the guise of religion. Ahhh... spanking is the tool of those nasty Christians!

What Should I Do When I See Someone Hitting Their Kid? How about minding your own damn business?

VIOLATED SCHOOLCHILDREN: Corporal punishment-induced trauma. Does a red bottom for being a brat really qualify as a trauma?

There is also a lovely set of photos equating the beating of slaves in the 19th century to the paddling of children in the 21st century. Oddly enough, the photo of the paddling present day happens to be a picture of a white teacher paddling a black pupil. Subtle, huh?

Also, there is another interesting side-by-side graph showing the Top Ten Paddling States right next to the Top Ten Lynching States. And yes, both sets of graphs are Southern states. Hmmm... I wonder if there's also a direct link between paddling and lynching with fatback, cornbread, sweet tea, boiled peanuts, and referring to your elders as sir and ma'am?

There is also a link proudly proclaiming that Italy, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Austria and Cyprus prohibit corporal punishment of children. Oddly enough, these nations also legalized slicing them into small pieces in their mother's womb.

I get it now --- paddles "bad"... scalpels and vacuums "good"

Silly me.

Gumby Alert!!
The direct spiritual descendant of Judas Iscariot is at it again

WARNING! Harsh Language Alert

Remember the phrase "the blame America first" that was coined quite a few years back? Well, as only Tommy Gumbleton can do, he's now twisted it into "blame Catholicism first".

Initially, The Gumbinator reels us in with an honestly quite touching story of someone battling, and eventually losing, to cancer. But ever the master manipulator, Comrade Tommy manages to twist what the Holy Father said concerning islam and the sword into somehow.... JUST SOMEHOW... we're suppose to shut our eyes and remain mute about the very terrorist foundations that islam is based upon due to an extreme small percentage of anomalies centuries old.

Here's what the Ecumenical Pimp said;

Remember the part when Jesus is talking to the people who are correcting other people. He challenged them, "Look, you can see the speck in somebody else's eye, but you can't see the beam in your own eye!" If you look at others but don't look at yourself. Pope Benedict in speaking about Islam -- yes, at times, there has been those who have used it in a violent way, who spread their message through war, through killing. But you don't have to look very far into the history of the Christian religion to discover that we've done the same thing many, many times.

No "we" haven't, you freakin' idiot. There were many in history who used Christianity as their rationale for conquest... and overwhelmingly, they were refuted by The Church. And when Holy Mother The Church did go to war, it was to protect Christendom. I guess Gumby forgot about the past 1,400 years of moslem attacks on both the Holy Land and Europe proper. But silly me. How could I forget so quickly? After all, when all else fails, blame Catholicism first.

But there's no arguing with Gumbleton and his band of moslem ass-kissers. Who authorized the consecration of this self-loathing jerk-off anyway?

Hey Tommy, I hear Calypso Louis Farrakhan is stepping aside. Go ahead, step forward and take his place.

What do you say we cut through the bullshit and you just come out and say it... you hate everything European... you hate the institutional Catholic Church... you hate everything that enabled you to be a Catholic bishop in the first place.

With nowhere else to go, he appeared at the home of his childhood friend, Hugo Chavez. Sometime earlier, the family of civilized nations had thrown him out, requesting that he... never... return.

Who You Gonna Believe...
Me, or your lyin' eyes?

Two stellar examples of alleged Catholics who ask us to defy not only the obvious, but common sense as well.

SISTER JOAN, NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH SAINT JOAN
Joan Chittister, a Benedictine sister, told her audience not to be discouraged that the number of women religious in the U.S. has dropped from 125,000 to 67,000 in thirty years, a reduction of almost half. "There is a temptation to equate numbers with effectiveness," she said. "Numbers are a capitalist answer to a Christian question."

She professes to be unworried about the increasing average age of women religious. "When did we get too old, too remote, too small to sign petitions, to sit through a peace rally, to include the innocent in Iraq and Lebanon and Israel in our liturgies and public programs?"

If you have followed Chittister over the years, you will know that such lines are emblematic of her approach to religion. I can't remember her ever talking about the need to teach Christian doctrinal truths. To her the faith is reduced to petitioning and rallying, which suggests why women's religious orders have been reduced in numbers. American women have learned that, if you want to sign petitions or attend rallies, you don't need to be a nun.

“Catholic” Kerry Attempts To Siphon Pro-Life Votes With Overtures And Reclaim Catholic Vote
Former Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry gave a speech yesterday at Pepperdine University in California, calling for pro-life supporters and abortion proponents to achieve “common ground” between their irreconcilable positions over abortion. However, the dubiously “Catholic” Kerry also spliced many references to his “faith” and Catholic upbringing in his speech, in what critics contend is an attempt to weaken the pro-life movement and win back Catholic voters to the Democratic Party.

Option A Or Option B?
Hmmm....

OPTION A
Pope Should Immediately Convert To Islam

The elder son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has called on Pope Benedict XVI to convert to Islam immediately, dismissing last week's apology from the pontiff for offending Muslims.

"If this person were really someone reasonable, he would not agree to remain at his post one minute, but would convert to Islam immediately. We say to the pope - whether you apologise or not is irrelevant, as apologies make no difference to us."

Gaddafi junior also hit out at "those Muslims who look for comfort in the words of a non-Muslim". He said Muslims "should not look for charity from the infidel... but should fight Islam's enemies who attack the faith and the Prophet Muhammad".

Gee, what a guy. Is he an example of those 'moderate moslems' I keep hearing about?

Or.....

OPTION B
Roman Catholic, Orthodox Churches Pledge To Seek Unity

Top Roman Catholic and Orthodox clerics declared Monday the time has come to heal the rifts between the two churches and to seek unity. Sixty top Roman Catholic and Christian Orthodox clerics gathered for a week in Belgrade, Serbia, to renew theological dialogue this week, after talks broke off six years ago.

"It is time to recover the ancient unity,” he reportedly said, adding that, because of the new political reality in Europe, East and West must now also meet on the political level.

I posted on this very same topic just a few days ago. Re-read that last sentence in the news story. Like I've said in the past, one doesn't have to be a great theologian or diplomat to read between the lines there.

The Other Side Of The Coin
Where the hell are the Pope's DEFENDERS?

So far, we have Cardinal Pell of Sydney, Australia; Rowan Williams, the spiritual leader of 77 million Anglicans worldwide; and the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel.

Those are the only major figures who have stepped forward to defend The Holy Father. And let's be honest, With the exception of Cardinal Pell, the other two "defenses" were pretty tepid.

But anyhow, One Catholic. One Protestant. One secular elected official. That's pretty much it.

I've just got to ask - where the hell is Bush? Oh... he's busy rewriting all his speeches. Gotta take out the word "Islamo-Fascists". Don't want to be accused of violating anyone's dignity. Must have our priorities straight, you know.

And while I'm at it, where the hell's the USCCB? Whoops! They can't be bothered with defending the pope against death threats and such. They're up to their eyeballs in really important stuff... like U.S. Bishops Urge Congress to Meet ‘Highest Ethical Standards’ for Treatment of Prisoners and Bishop Asks President, Congress for a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill

Poor Pope Benedict. This is a scene straight out of one of those corny Service Comedies from back in the 1950's. You know... there's the general on the battlefield -- he yells "let's go, boys! CHARGE!!" -- he gets about 50 feet onto the battlefield, and turns around just to see that no one's there.

...And the audience howled with laughter. Sad thing is, no ones laughing now.

Moderate Moslem Voices Worldwide Heard Loud And Clear
"Moderate Moslems"... *slap to forehead*... what the hell was I thinking?

Here's a more correct headline

Moslems Vow To Conquer Rome

500 protesters, followers of Ayatollah Mahmud al-Hassani, a mystical Shiite Muslim cleric, burned German and American flags and called for the Pope to be tried in an international court.

Al-Qaeda in Iraq warned in an internet statement it would wage jihad, or holy war, until the West is defeated.

“We say to the servant of the cross (the Pope): wait for defeat. We say to infidels and tyrants: wait for what will afflict you. We continue our jihad,” said the statement attributed to the Mujahideen consultative council.

“We will smash the cross,” it added, and “conquer Rome”.

I'll ask yet again... when will people wake up and realize that this really is a Holy War, a fight for the very survival of Christendom?

First off, Cletus Huckleberry The Great comes clean and apologizes to the mohammedans.

On behalf of right-thinking Catholics everywhere, I would like to apologize to the Islamic community for failing to give due consideration in previous posts to the fact that you guys are a horde of unstable, insecure, hypersensitive, violent nutjobs whose astounding ignorance is surpassed only by your diabolical lust for cruelty and death. Is it any wonder he's so deemed Cletus Huckleberry THE GREAT?

Secondly, I read a quote the other day, I think it was from Paulinus, who said concerning the moslems, yet again, going on a rampage, stating words to the effect of "my very existence as a Catholic seems to set them into an uncontrollable rage". How true.

Lastly, I posted this the other day --

And a hat tip to BennyXVISurfRider for pointing out to me that in moslem countries, Christians are an oppressed minority and they are expected to "stay in their set limited areas". Gee, think they're trying to tell the pope something?

A Kinder, Gentler Interrogation
Army unveils new interrogation manual (see right)

[The new manual] will specifically prohibit methods including sleep deprivation, confinement to a darkened cell, stripping prisoners and the use of police dogs, said Thomas A. Gandy, director of counterintelligence and human intelligence for the Army.

Gandy said that includes no physical or mental torture, or any form of coercion, slapping, humiliation, striking or threatening... one of the tactics rejected by officials involved mild noninjurious physical contact, such as grabbing and poking in the chest. Hooding, removal of clothing and use of dogs to induce stress. "The theory is keep them uncertain about their future," said Gandy.

Hmmmm... I guess a rousing game of Duck, Duck, Goose should do the trick, huh Mr. Gandy. Or would taunting them in a sing-song voice saying I know something you don't knowwwwww be considered mental torture? This ever so politically correct "leader" needs to change his name from Thomas Gandy to Mahatma Gandy.

This entire episode just sickens me. What's next from the Department of the Army? Specific instruction such as no running with scissors? I imagine that the interrogators must always use their inside voices. And don't forget... always say yes sir, no sir, thank you, please. Proper deportment is paramount, you know.

Will Gitmo now be renamed The Big Time Out Corner? Oh hell, "time out corner" isn't acceptable any more. I guess the next time one of our troops gets snickered (having a prisoner throw a lovely concoction consisting of feces, urine, vomit and semen into the guard's face) then that prisoner gets a vigorous finger wagging and a stern "That's it, mister, your going on a break! That'll learn him... huh?

I gotta be honest, to ensure another 9/11 doesn't happen (and the subsequent roasting/being blown into a thousand pieces/or falling over 100 stories to their deaths of thousands of fellow Americans) I believe that a ball peen hammer and a couple of German Shepherds are entirely appropriate.

When the hell are we going to fight this war like we intend to win it?

Other than lots of blood on the field?

Remember the line in the movie when a distraught Lancelot screamed out "...and Christ has abandoned us!"? Yeah Lancelot, I'm with ya. That's exactly how it feels being a Notre Dame fan right now.

Possibly Coach Weis should have used the Knute Rockne "short but sour" speech of yesteryear.

Legend has it that the Irish were getting crushed during the the 1st half. At halftime, instead of a butt chewing, Coach Rockne poked his head in and said, "Oh, excuse me ladies, I thought this was the Notre Dame locker room."

The Irish won.

Well, Maybe Pope John Paul II Wasn't
All That "Great" After All
The quiet changes of Pope Benedict

No, this isn't a "slam JP 2" post. But as faithful, thinking Catholics, it's something that we need to consider.

A year after his election, no one seems to have noticed (or possibly they choose to ignore?), that Pope Benedict XVI has executed an unmistakable about face (corrections?) from some of the causes that were near and dear to the heart of his predecessor, Pope John Paul II. And when I say 'near and dear', I mean near and dear.

Case in point; Father Marcial Maciel Degollado, the founder of the Legion of Christ, was accused as far back as 1976 of sexually abusing "more than 20 and less than 100 victims" in seminary. In 1998, a canon-law suit seeking Degollado's ouster was submitted. Pope John Paul was begged by the accusers to investigate. Instead, Pope John Paul buried the case and even protected and publicly praise Fr. Degollado.

Under Pope Benedict, Fr Degollado was handled far differently. The pope "invited" Fr. Degollado to give up his public ministry in favor of a quiet life of "prayer and penitence". In doing so, Pope Benedict did something extraordinarily unusual: He cast doubt on Pope John Paul's judgment. And that in itself is quite stunning.

Something else to consider and be brutally honest about... Pope John Paul was considered by many as the foremost champion of ecumenism and 'building bridges' with the moslems. Pope John Paul was the first pope ever to visit a moslem country (France doesn't count... yet). The first pope ever to visit a mosque. The first pope ever to kiss the koran. Let's not kid each other. Ever time Pope John Paul had a chance to cozy up to the moslems, he did. I'm not saying this to be hard-hearted, I'm trying to be objectively honest.

Under Pope John Paul's pontificate, a none too quiet moslem invasion of Europe took place. We all know the horror stories; 20% of Switzerland is moslem, the most popular name for newborn baby boys in Brussels is Mohammed, moslem males in Scandinavia wear shirts saying '2025, That's When We Take Over', etc, etc.

Again, it's time to be brutally honest. Did Pope John Paul ever say or do anything of substance concerning the de-Christianization of Europe? His silence was deafening.

On the other hand, Pope Benedict, has come out and called for Europe to "rediscover it's Christian roots". He also has opposed Turkey's inclusion in what he called the "Christian-rooted European Union".

Instead of the John Paulesque apology-of-the-day, Pope Benedict has the bad manners to call out mohammed as the 6th century terrorist that he was. Not exactly endearing to the moslem horde, would you say? I've even read quotes from moslem leaders essentially asking "why can't Benedict be more like John Paul?". Why, indeed. And thank God he isn't.

And in spite of the past friction, there has been a very quiet move towards greater Catholic-Russian Orthodox ties. Keep in mind, the Russian Orthodox is the largest of the various Orthodox denominations.

Archbishop Antonio Mennini, Vatican nuncio to Russia, said ”it is also noteworthy that in recent months there have been repeated statements by high-ranking representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church speaking positively of closeness in Orthodox and Catholic positions on most of the challenges brought by modern times”. Gee, I wonder what he meant by 'challenges of modern times'? You don't have to be a seasoned diplomat to figure that one out.

As 'lovable' and 'grandfatherly' as Pope John Paul was, we have to be yet again, brutally honest. He was a... oh, shall we say 'less than effective' pope.

You know, because of the actions of many popes 500 years ago, Pope St. Pius V had to kick in a little something called The Catholic Counter Reformation. It was God's plan all along for those errors to happen. Are we on the verge of a Catholic Self-Reformation?

Pope Benedict has an uphill fight if there ever was one. There are a number of things our Holy Father can do to improve the situation. From chasing the wolves out of the rectories, to freeing the Traditional Latin Mass, to Consecrating Russia to the Holy Mother, to being a unifying leader for all Christendom under a Catholic banner in stemming the moslem tide.

Pray for our pope.

Give 'Em Enough Rope, Part II
The pope's no dummy
WARNING! Harsh language alert... and I'm pretty damn un-PC to boot. If harsh language and/or political incorrectness offend, I suggest you pass on this posting.

MOSLEMS GONE WILD!!
Pakistan's legislature unanimously condemned Pope Benedict XVI. Lebanon's top Shiite cleric demanded an apology. And in Turkey, the ruling party likened the pontiff to Hitler and Mussolini.

"We do not accept the apology through Vatican channels ... and ask him (Benedict) to offer a personal apology — not through his officials," Grand Ayatollah Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, Lebanon's most senior Shiite cleric, told worshippers in Beirut.

About 2,000 Palestinians angrily protested Friday night in Gaza City. Earlier, Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh, of the Islamic militant group Hamas, said the pope had offended Muslims everywhere.

Yeah, yeah... the muslims are all pissed off concerning some recent papal remarks that we're all too familiar with. Gee, the heretical mohammedans have their collective panties in a wad... again. And are about to rampage, burn and destroy... again. Big shocker, huh?

For those of you who're out of the loop, here's what's up.

[During a speech in Germany] The pope quoted from a book recounting a conversation between 14th-century Byzantine Christian Emperor Manuel Paleologos II and a Persian scholar on the truths of Christianity and Islam.

"The emperor comes to speak about the issue of jihad, holy war," Benedict said. "He said, I quote, 'Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.'"

The pope did not explicitly agree with nor repudiate the comment.

But rest assured, Vatican spokesmen are falling all over themselves issuing "clarifications". But you know what? It'll all fall on deaf ears. Cooler heads won't prevail. Know why? Because there ARE NO cool heads in Islam... that's why.

If you thought the infamous Danish cartoons stirred up a shit-storm, as the Jazz Singer said, you ain't seen nothin' yet.

But I digress. I believe the Holy Father knows exactly what he's doing. He knew damn good and well how the moslems would react initially. He knows damn good and well how the moslems will react even after the clarifications are issued. He knows damn good and well that, even though every reasonable effort has and will be made to soothe moslem sensitivities, the infidel moslems will still go nuckin' futz. Imagine a world-wide monkey shit-fight at the zoo, but with Molotov Cocktails and car bombs. He's giving 'em enough rope.

Now comes the big question... will the West stand firm or cave? Amazingly, German Chancellor Angela Merkel defended the German-born pope. Who else will have the guts to do the same?

Oh, and one more thing I'd like to add... in Turkey, the ruling party also accused the Pope of "reviving the mentality of the Crusades". Well, hell fire! I certainly DO hope he's trying to revive the mentality of the Crusades! Let's not forget, the Crusades were called for because those bastard moslems were the ones who invaded the Holy Land and raped, sent into slavery, or just plain old murdered thousands upon thousands of Catholics and Eastern Orthodox.

When all's said and done, what Pope Benedict will accomplish will be to show the Castrati fence sitters in the West what the moslems really desire. And that's to wipe Christianity off the face of the earth... and we all better damn well do something about it and quick. Much like the Kamikazies of WWII fame, there's only one way to deal with those who desire to kill each and every one of us.

The upcoming Holy War won't be to reclaim the once Christian cities of Jerusalem, Tyre, Nazareth and Bethlehem, it'll be to reclaim the once Christian cities of Rome, Munich, Paris and Madrid.

In closing, let's just say that I could personally give a shit less if the moslems are pissed off. It's a bastardized, dirty little gutter "religion" anyways.

Homeschooling, bad. Government schools, good.

News Item: In early September, the German police arrested Katharina Plett, a homeschooling mother of twelve. Yesterday her husband fled to Austria with the children. Homeschooling is illegal in Germany since Hitler banned it in 1938. The Plett family belongs to a homeschooling group of seven Baptist families in Paderborn.

Stefan Sedlaczek of the Catholic website kreuz.net repports that a female plain-clothes police officer rang at Plett home on Thursday around 11:00 am. When she opened the door, other police officers, who had hidden themselves, forced their way in. Mrs Plett was allowed to change, but a police officer followed her into her bedroom in case “she would arm herself and shoot us all.”

Now why would the leader of a dictatorship ban home schooling? Was he just trying to ensure job security for school teachers? Or was it because he wanted to make sure the state could have all the children for six or seven hours of God-less government indoctrination every day?

Evidently things haven’t changed much in Germany in 50 years, but similar sentiments are already popping up, even in some state and local regulations, to make it tougher on home schooling in the U.S.

There are two things the liberals can’t stand. 1. Home schooling, because they lose the ability to force-feed kids the pro-abortion, free sex, pro-gay, anti-religion, anti-capitalism beliefs of secular humanism. 2. Our Second Amendment. It drives the left crazy to think the ignorant (in their opinion) masses are free to possess firearms and not just their personal bodyguards, state-controlled police and military. An armed populace means the people could actually rise up someday to oppose their superior ideas for what the “little people” need.

My First Question...
Why wasn't Greenpeace raising hell?

CABEZA PRIETA N.W.R., Ariz. -- Three years ago, the endangered lesser long-nosed bat had been ousted from a cave here, one of just four known maternity roosts in the United States, by illegal aliens who used the cave as a cool rest stop on their route north.

Now, the aliens are out of the cave, the bat is back -- and all it took was a fence.

It's a fragile ecosystem where car tracks or even walking trails can remain for decades after they are last used. And aliens leave behind abandoned vehicles and millions of pounds of garbage -- estimates run between 5 and 8 pounds per illegal crosser.

"Some areas are so polluted by trash and human waste that the cleanup has to be contracted to professional companies with employees outfitted with haz-mat suits," said Roger DiRosa, Cabeza Prieta's manager.

Some see the success of fencing in Cabeza Prieta as an obvious solution -- both to the environmental issue and the whole border.

"Fencing the cave brought the bats back. Fencing the border would be cheaper than the cleanup and would bring the environmental quality back," said Rep. Steve King, Iowa Republican, who has visited the cave. "A border fence could help lessen the environmental, economic, drug and crime impacts on American society by directing all traffic through the legal ports of entry."

My second question...

Ya think we should put the friggin' bats in charge? At least they know what the hell they're doing.

Why We'll Lose The War On Terror
As long as we have idiots like this calling the shots (or NOT calling the shots, as the case may be)

A Predator drone armed with missiles snapped a photo of 190 Taliban attending a funeral in Afghanistan. According to news reports, American officers were salivating at a chance to zap 190 bad guys in one fell swoop.

But that would make too much sense. Some scrotally challenged maggot nixed the attack on the grounds that an attack on a cemetery were a violation of the rules of engagement. Undoubtedly, this freakin' moron will make general someday.

But in the meantime, I could give a damn less if they were in a cemetery... grease the bastards.

Lack Of Moral Courage 101
RepubliCrats strike again

Remember when all hell was raised over the Democratic Party pretty much abandoning Joe Lieberman in is run for re-election to the senate? Lieberman was as Democratic as a Democrat could be. Big government, pro-abortion, never met a tax increase he didn't like, etc, etc. The Dems loved this guy so much, he was their Veep candidate not all that long ago.

Oh, but the worm has turned. You see, Lieberman voted in favor of the war in Iraq. That was his death knell. Democrats abandoned him quicker than 1st Class passengers on the Titanic.

And individuals like Sean Hannity slammed the Democratic Party (rightly so) every chance he got. But where is Hannity when the Republicans do the very same, exact thing?

Case in point, Senator Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island. A stellar example of a RHINO* if there ever was one. Pro-abortion, anti-tax cut, only Republican to vote against the War in Iraq Resolution, Lincoln Chafee. He didn't even vote for Bush in the 2004 election. Some Republican, huh?

Well, Ol' Lincoln was up against a real life conservative, Steve Laffey, in the GOP primary. In all reality, if Laffey would have won the primary (he didn't), he more than likely would have lost the general election. But Republicans are suppose to stand for moral courage, even if it means losing a senate seat, right? Care to take a wild guess at what happened?

Sen. Elizabeth Dole, chair of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, which along with the Republican National Committee backed Chafee with roughly $1 million.

Why you so quiet, Hannity?

This Is Going To Be A Long, Long, Long War
Regardless of what the Sunshine Patriots tell you

How did our fathers and grandfathers deal with the Kamikazes? Did they try to reason and rationalize with them? Hell no. They killed them.

With that in mind, along with the fact that Islam has wanted to wipe-out Christendom for the past 1,400 years, check this out from Time magazine...

Bin Laden divides the world into believers and non-believers, that is, Muslims and infidels. He believes Islam needs to be purified and turned back a thousand years. He has identified himself and his followers as adoring death. He told a Pakistani interviewer after 9/11: "We love death. The U.S. loves life. That is the big difference between us."

Caveman: "OK, men... set your weapons to stun"
Troops: "But Caveman, M-16's don't have a stun setting!"
Caveman: "Oh... I guess that means we're gonna have to kill 'em"

So Blessed Ralph Milner Really
DID Die For Nothing...
Right?

St Joseph's Catholic and Anglican High School just opened in Wales. That's right... "Catholics" treating the heretics with equal legitimacy.

Last month, I posted a story on Blessed Ralph Milner. He was one of the English Martyrs against the heresy of Protestant Anglicanism. Here's the bottom line...

On the very day of his first Communion he was arrested for changing his religion. Blessed Ralph was eventually sentenced to death for being a Catholic. Probably moved with compassion for the aged man, the judge urged him to go, just once, and pray at a Protestant church and he would not be put to death by hanging.

Blessed Ralph refused to insult God, and in his own words,
"to embrace a counsel so disagreeable to the maxims of the Gospel."

The very same bunch that murdered Catholics by the bushel... we now send our kids to school with. Gee, I guess Blessed Ralph's martyrdom really was meaningless and all for nothing, huh?
