Option A Or Option B?
Hmmm....
OPTION A
Pope Should Immediately Convert To Islam
The elder son of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi has called on Pope Benedict XVI to convert to Islam immediately, dismissing last week's apology from the pontiff for offending Muslims.
"If this person were really someone reasonable, he would not agree to remain at his post one minute, but would convert to Islam immediately. We say to the pope - whether you apologise or not is irrelevant, as apologies make no difference to us."
Gaddafi junior also hit out at "those Muslims who look for comfort in the words of a non-Muslim". He said Muslims "should not look for charity from the infidel... but should fight Islam's enemies who attack the faith and the Prophet Muhammad".
Gee, what a guy. Is he an example of those 'moderate moslems' I keep hearing about?
Or.....
OPTION B
Roman Catholic, Orthodox Churches Pledge To Seek Unity
Top Roman Catholic and Orthodox clerics declared Monday the time has come to heal the rifts between the two churches and to seek unity. Sixty top Roman Catholic and Christian Orthodox clerics gathered for a week in Belgrade, Serbia, to renew theological dialogue this week, after talks broke off six years ago.
"It is time to recover the ancient unity,” he reportedly said, adding that, because of the new political reality in Europe, East and West must now also meet on the political level.
I posted on this very same topic just a few days ago. Re-read that last sentence in the news story. Like I've said in the past, one doesn't have to be a great theologian or diplomat to read between the lines there.
