Archbishop Timothy Dolan - The Alfred E. Neuman of Catholicism?
What! Me Worry?

Last month, Archbishop Dolan of New York was elected President of the USCCB. When asked what his chief priorities were for both the Church and society, Dolan stated that he would continue on the same path that the USCCB has been on prior to his election.

He also went on to say; It’s not like, thanks be to God, we’re in crisis. Things are going well.His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI said in a speech less than two weeks ago that in regards to the decline of Christian morality and the overall abandonment of God by Western Civilization that; "The very future of the world is at stake." And in a comment aimed directly at those within Catholicism who are in positions of power and authority, Pope Benedict said; "It was maintained – even within the realm of Catholic theology – that there is no such thing as evil in itself or good in itself. There is only a “better than” and a “worse than”. Nothing is good or bad in itself.

Everything depends on the circumstances and on the end in view. Anything can be good or also bad, depending upon purposes and circumstances. Morality is replaced by a calculus of consequences, and in the process it ceases to exist.

The effects of such theories are evident today."

Where is the USCCB on "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"?

Fueling the belief that the pro-homosexual Lavender Mafia is alive and well within the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in America, the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) has been conspicuously silent on condemning the Obama Administration and the overwhelmingly Democrat support in Congresss for the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" regulation that prohibited openly homosexual individuals from serving in the Armed Forces.

One of the few, if not only, Catholic prelate to speak out against the repeal has been the leader of the Archdiocese of the Military Services, Archbishop Timothy Broglio.

It's been previously reported that the archbishop explained that while individuals may have a legal right to declare their sexual preferences, they have no comparable “right” to serve in the military at the same time.

Two Catholic Diocese to Answer to "Openly Gay" Man?

It's being reported by the News & Observer (of Raleigh, NC) that; The newly elected president of the N.C. Council of Churches, Stan Kimer is typical of those who served before him: a retired business executive, longtime churchgoer and member of several nonprofit organization boards.

He's also openly gay.
According to Kimer's self-penned biography; He [Kimer] currently resides in Raleigh, North Carolina with Rich, his partner of 19 years.I would venture it a safe bet that Kimer is a proponent of the homosexual lifestyle. I'm also quite sure that he has rectified that with his particular brand of Christianity.

I'm also a big believer in Free Will. If Mr. Kimer so desires to legitimize and live the homosexual lifestyle, that's his business. Just like you and me, we all make choices and we have to live with the consequences.

But I digress, the same N&O article stated; He cited the council's efforts to educate churches about immigration, obesity and disease, as well as about the need for diversity in public schools. Doesn't the salvation of souls factor in there someplace? No mention of a certain Jewish guy who just celebrated a birthday? Oh... that's right. Churches are suppose to save societies, not souls. What was I thinking?

Yet Another PBS Regular Apologizes For Saying "Christmas"

Almost as soon as PBS regular Nina Totenberg was given absolution for uttering the strictly verboten noun of "Christmas", fellow PBS'er Mark Shields just transgressed over the line of political correctness into neo-paganism.

While being interviewed on Inside Washington, the following exchange took place;
GORDON PETERSON (host): The people who are opposed to [the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell] in the military are saying they’re hearing from the combat arms, the troops on the ground, that this might have an impact on unit cohesion. What are you hearing, Mark?

MARK SHIELDS: I’ve heard, I’ve heard the same thing, but in the spirit of the Christmas season - if you’ll pardon the expression - the, I, I, let me endorse what Charles has just said.

Leave it to the Jesuits! Another Slap in the Face of Catholicism
What Does Catholicism Really Teach?

In the hyper-liberal Jesuit magazine America, Presider James Martin asks the musical question;
"I wonder how many Catholics will be celebrating President Obama’s signing of the repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law?"Martin fails to mention that the repeal not only gives legitimacy to what is theologically illegitimate (and flies in the face of the basic mechanics of the human body), but also ignores that in 1999, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger, Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, declared that the homosexual act is an "intrinsic evil".

The theologically questionable Martin was possibly at his Pollyanna best when he was quoted as saying;
"...gays and lesbians who live chastely can lead holy lives, and even strive to become saints. After all, that’s what approaching 'Christian perfection' means: sanctity."Read more...

Merry Christmas - Marine Corps Style
Marines and Christmas - always an interesting mix.

Keep in mind that the vast majority of Marines in this particular combat zone better known as Afghanistan, aren't even "mature" enough to buy a beer in any bar, pub or tavern in The States.

But thank God they're "mature" enough to dispatch to their infernal reward, those who wish to visit violence upon us here in our nice warm homes back here in the good ol' US of A.

So here's to those 18, 19 and 20-year-old Jyreens (aw, hell... ALL OF 'EM!) that have been keeping the wolf from the door since 1775.

With that said, Merry Christmas, America. Sleep well - your Marine Corps is on guard.

The Brave Soldiers of Allah Target Shoppers for Slaughter

Christmas is rapidly approaching, as is the threats of death against those who fail to hit the rug five times a day and bow towards Mecca.

Case in point: The British press is reporting that the recent arrest of a dozen British subjects, all of Bangladeshi origin (read: moslems) were arrested Monday in connection with a plot to carry out bombings in various British cities, specifically to kill and maim as many people as possible on crowded shopping streets in the days before Christmas.

All the arrested were between 17 and 28. These jihaadists in the larval stage had already received terrorist training in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile in The States...

It is also being reported in the British media that Al Qaeda terrorists are plotting to put deadly poison in the salad bars and buffets of hotels and restaurants, according to U.S. intelligence sources.

Moslem Student Traumatized by Ham

It's being reported by the Spanish press that a teacher at the Institute Menéndez Tolosa in the city of La Línea de la Concepcion has been denounced by a moslem family. The family believes that its son was offended during a geography class.

The teacher was giving a normal lesson about the different climates on our planet, and he used the locality of Trevélez as example of a cold and dry climate. For an anecdote, the teacher explained that precisely this climate was best for the curing of hams. Then the student demanded of the teacher, “Don’t speak about hams,” because this subject was offensive for him as he is a moslem.

Do You Feel the Pain of Marxist Lesbian Heretical "Nuns" Yet?
The Vatican Does

Archbishop Tobin, the Secretary of the Congregation for Religious Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life has stated that in regards to the Apostolic Visitation (ie: inspection) of American women's religious orders, that American nuns have no reason to fear the Vatican inquiry.

Known for decades as hotbeds of dissention and outright heresy, Apb. Tobin also stated that the Vatican needs to adopt a "strategy of reconciliation" with American nuns, and acknowledge their "depth of anger and hurt" caused by the current inspection that is still in progress.

Even though the apostolic visitation isn't even completed, the Archbishop went as far as to say that he "would be very surprised if anyone would purport to give any punitive or overly prescriptive norms as a result of this visitation."

Many are wondering if the after-action measures are already decided upon, why even bother having the visitation at all?

Chris Matthews gets another tingle up different leg

Chris Matthews latent bromosexual tendencies are becoming more pronounces as the Barack Hussein Obama administration arrogantly stumbles, stutters and stammers along.

Evidence of Matthews man-crush on that oh-so-dreamy Barry (gosh, I wonder if he'll call) Obama was evidenced on a recent tax-cutting extension episode of "Hardball" where Obama caved-in to the Republicans faster than a Chilean copper mine.

Possibly it was the sudden rush of blood from his cranium to various other body parts that prompted Matthews less-than-objective school girl gush;

"That smile, that cute smile we all love in that guy. That wonderful, boyish smile of his he gave us there..." Suffice it to say, the look on "Hardball" guest Eugene Robinson's face speaks volumes.

National Catholic Reporter gives bully pulpit to attack Catholic Chaplains
In a move that was a surprise to no one, the notoriously liberal and anti-Catholic National Catholic Reporter gave a platform to one of the most one-sided attacks on Archbishop Timothy Broglio of the Archdiocese of the Military Services.

The author, Colman McCarthy, regularly writes a column for NCR.

His latest is an attack not only on Archbishop Broglio, but on every Catholic Chaplain, every Catholic that is serving, and every Catholic who has ever served his or her country. McCarthy even questions the Church's teaching on the right to self-defense.

Here is but a snippet of the article entitled The check is definitely not in the mail;

That 25 percent of the nation’s 1.4 million active-duty soldiers are Catholics who allowed themselves to be trained to solve the nation’s conflicts with bullets, bombs and belligerence strikes me as a raw indictment of the church’s leadership. No one has ever rationally explained to me how modern popes routinely condemn war -- “No more war! No more war!” cried Pope Paul VI in 1965 at the United Nations -- yet never warn Catholics it is sinful to be warriors in the way it is sinful to engage in artificial birth control or have abortions.Read more...

ObamaCare Cuts Drug Discounts to Children's Hospitals

Nancy Pelosi said that we wouldn't know what was in ObamaCare until it was passed.

It's been passed, and now we are finding out exactly what a nightmare it really is.

Case in point; for the past 18 years, Congress has ordered that specialized drugs, better known in the pharmaceutical industry as 'orphan drugs', to be sold to children's hospitals at a discount rate that ranged anywhere from 30%-50%.

That was before ObamaCare.

Bishop declares appearances of Blessed Virgin in Wisconsin as “worthy of belief"

The California Catholic Daily is reporting that Bishop David Ricken announced today that he officially approves the Marian apparitions at the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help at Champion.

Declared with moral certainty

Reading from his decree, the Bishop stated, "I declare with moral certainty and in accord with the norms of the Church that the events, apparitions and locutions given to Adele Brise in October of 1859 do exhibit the substance of supernatural character, and I do hereby approve these apparitions as worthy of belief (although not obligatory) by the Christian faithful."

The declaration makes Our Lady of Good Help at Champion the first and only site in the United States of an approved apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Three apparitions in 1859

In October 1859, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared on three occasions to Adele Brise, a young Belgian immigrant. Brise stated that a lady dressed in dazzling white appeared to her and claimed to be the "Queen of Heaven who prays for the conversion of sinners."

The Lady asked Brise to pray for sinners, as well as to gather the children and teach them what they should know for salvation. The Blessed Virgin followed the commands with these words of assurance to Adele Brise, "Go and fear nothing, I will help you."

What many Catholic news organs are leaving out is the warning from Our Lady of Good Hope at Champion; (emphasis mine)

"I am the Queen of Heaven, who prays for the conversion of sinners, and I wish you to do the same. You received Holy Communion this morning, and that is well. But you must do more. Make a general confession, and offer Communion for the conversion of sinners. If they do not convert and do penance, my Son will be obliged to punish them."Click here for the entire article from Cal Catholic.

UN Conference begins with Invocation of a Pagan Goddess

The Washington Post is reporting that a United Nations conference in Cancun, Mexico began with the invocation of a pagan goddess.

Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of the U.N. Framework Convention on Climate Change, invoked the ancient jaguar goddess Ixchel in her opening statement to delegates gathered in Cancun, Mexico, noting that Ixchel was not only goddess of the moon, but also "the goddess of reason, creativity and weaving. May she inspire you -- because today, you are gathered in Cancun to weave together the elements of a solid response to climate change, using both reason and creativity as your tools."

"Excellencies, the goddess Ixchel would probably tell you that a tapestry is the result of the skilful interlacing of many threads," said Figueres. "I am convinced that 20 years from now, we will admire the policy tapestry that you have woven together and think back fondly to Cancun and the inspiration of Ixchel."
