A Mile Wide, But An Inch Deep
What hath the Novus Ordo wrought?

Interesting stat from The Providence Business News;
Study: R.I. among least-religious states

PROVIDENCE – Rhode Island residents are among the least religious in the country, according to a new study by the Pew Research Center’s Forum on Religion & Public Life in Washington.

Just 44 percent of Rhode Island and Connecticut residents surveyed by Pew said that religion is “very important in their lives.”
But wait!! How could this be!!?? According to the USCCB, Rhode Island is the most Catholic state in the Union.

By the way, 63% of this oh-so-Catholic state voted for The Obamination. I'm underwhelmed.

Oh, and speaking of Conneticut, again according to the bishops’ statistics, this is the fifth ‘most Catholic state’ in the US. By the way... The Zero received 60.2% of the vote in Connecticut.

National Pride
Am I the only who's noticed?

I’ve been watching, or listening to, a lot of the winter Olympics. Yeah, yeah, I know it’s not the amateur contest it was originally intended to be, but I still like the competition, the triumph of the spirit over insurmountable odds, and the wide variety of sports. Heck, I even figured out what curling is all about and realized there is a lot to it. (Not to mention that women’s curling was easy on the eyes.)

Canada has won a number of gold medals and got to hear their national anthem, O Canada, as the flags of the three medal countries were raised. Now, granted, as the host country the Canadians have a special pride in their victories, but have you noticed that they all seem to be singing their anthem? Even the gold medalist! (You rarely see an American gold medalist doing so.)

Call me old-fashioned, but I think I live in the best country on earth and often get a lump in my throat or even a little misty-eyed when I hear, and sing, the Star Spangled Banner. But, sadly, very often I am the only one singing in the stands around me at sporting events.

When I was a kid I attended many major league baseball games. Nearly everyone sang the National Anthem – and no one had to be told to take off their hat. Okay, I’m a baby boomer so all the adults had lived through a World War and us kids were the children of those veterans of our armed forces or the home front that built the tanks, ships, and planes.

I think there’s another reason for the minimal number of Americans who actually sing the National Anthem. I think it’s because of the liberals and former hippies who have taken over America’s teaching establishment. They have taught two generations that America is not Number 1, but just one among many nations and usually responsible for everything that’s wrong in the world. (Not unlike the Roman Protestant spawn of Vatican 2.) They have made patriotism (love of country) political incorrect. Consequently, they don’t even teach, yes, TEACH, as in memorization, the National Anthem in grade schools.

So, if you don’t the words of the Star Spangled Banner, it’s time to learn, or relearn, them. Then you need to live in the “home of the brave” by being brave enough to sing it out loud, even if you’re the only one.

Long may she wave!

Carlos Santana's Brother Declares War On Switzerland
Cuckoo clocks vs. plain old cuckoo

Here's some of the article from Deutsche Welle; (Comments mine)

Gadhafi's holy war call on Switzerland is 'unfortunate,' EU says
Gadhafi says his call for jihad is not terrorism.

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi has called for a jihad, or holy war against Switzerland, saying the Alpine nation is a destroyer of mosques. The statement is the latest move in an ongoing diplomatic row. (Give me evidence of even one mosque being destroyed.)

Gadhafi said that any Muslim who worked with Switzerland was against the Prophet Mohammad and the Koran, referring to a Swiss referendum verdict barring the construction of minarets, the spires that sit atop mosques. (Does that include the Swiss buying Libyan oil? What's that make you, Mommar?)

An EU spokesman called the comment "unfortunate." (Wow... "unfortunate". Is that the same EU that voted to remove crucifixes?)

"The masses of Muslims must go to all airports in the Islamic world and prevent any Swiss plane landing, to all harbors and prevent any Swiss ships docking, inspect all shops and markets to stop any Swiss goods being sold," Gadhafi said during a meeting in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi. (And just how do you propose all this Swiss stuff be "prevented"?)

"Let us fight against Switzerland, Zionism and foreign aggression," said Gadhafi, adding that "this is not terrorism," in contrast with the work of al-Qaida which he called a "kind of crime and a psychological disease." (Kind of...)

"There is a big difference between terrorism and jihad, which is a right to armed struggle," he added.
("Armed struggle"? What a peaceful guy.)

Just Who Is This Bishop Ricken Of Green Bay?
Just the winner of the 'All-Around Bad Ass of the Week Award', that's all!

And it is will all due respect that I refer to His Excellency as a 'bad ass', because that's exactly what he is. A bad ass.

Here's a few things that the good Bishop has beeen up to; ~ He was one of the very few that stood up to The Obamanation speaking (and giving a blessing, believe it or not) to Catholics at the University of Notre Dame.

~ He's been a supporter of the Traditional Latin Mass in his diocese, as evidenced by St. Joseph's Oratory. His Excellency
recently administered the Sacrament of Confirmation according to the rubrics of the Traditional Latin Mass.

~ As I just posted below, he'll no longer collect diocesan funds to the anti-Catholic CCHD.

~ Lastly, he's slamming on the brakes to all Diocesan ties to JOSHUA of Green Bay and ESTHER of the Fox Valley. Both of these groups are under a certain monstrosity called WISDOM, which is affiliated with the Gamaliel Foundation, a national group whose strategies run counter to Catholic teachings.

~ Interesting side-note:

At a Jan. 16 meeting... the state director of WISDOM, an umbrella group for JOSHUA and 10 sister units, was asked what most influenced the operation of the organization. "First, Saul Alinsky; second, the Civil Rights movement and third, labor organizations," he said.

The latter two are household phrases. Saul Alinsky is a conundrum.

Alinsky is a self-proclaimed Marxist. He also is a profound elitist.

Thanks.

LifeSiteNews posted in November that Bishop Barres of Allentown, Pennsylvania, Bishop Bruskewitz of Lincoln, Nebraska, Bishop Morlino of Madison, Wisconsin and Bishop Baker of Birmingham, Alabama all suspended the collections this year ( http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/nov/09112305.html )

Bishop Slattery of Tulsa, Oklahoma also called off the collection (he was the sixth bishop to do so) http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2009/nov/09113010.html

LifeSiteNews reports that Bishop Ricken is the 7th Bishop to withhold funds, but when I read the articles I can't figure out who #5 is. I know Bishop Vasa of Baker, Oregon has been speaking out lately about his concerns with the collection, but I don't remember seeing that he'd called it off yet.

So there's at least seven! I wish one of them were in my diocese!

If This Is "Ethical", Then I'm An Introvert
... and never raise my voice

Am I the only one thinking this is a perfect example of rank hypocrisy? Here's some of the article from Politico.com; (Emphasis mine) Charlie Rangel ruling puts Nancy Pelosi in a jam

The House ethics committee's decision to admonish New York Democratic Rep. Charlie Rangel over improper corporate-sponsored trips to the Caribbean leaves Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the ethics committee itself facing difficult questions.

When then-Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas) was admonished by the ethics committee in October 2004, Pelosi and other Democratic leaders went on the offensive against him.

“Mr. DeLay has proven himself to be ethically unfit to lead the party,” Pelosi said at a news conference the following day. “The burden falls upon his fellow House Republicans. Republicans must answer: Do they want an ethically unfit person to be their majority leader or do they want to remove the ethical cloud that hangs over the Capitol?”

Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) — now the House majority leader — said DeLay "certainly ought to step aside as leader at this point in time because I think his credibility has been undermined by these findings."

And of course... this; NBC's Brian Williams Ignores Rangel Corruption Charges
By Geoffrey Dickens

After the Democrats regained control of the House in 2006, Nancy Pelosi promised NBC's Brian Williams that she would "drain the swamp" and "turn this Congress into the most honest and open Congress in history." So when news broke that a House Ethics committee found that long time New York Democratic Congressman Charles Rangel accepted corporate money for trips to the Caribbean one would think Williams would be all over the story – he wasn't.

On Thursday's NBC Nightly News Williams completely ignored the charges, as did ABC's World News Tonight. Of the three broadcast network evening news shows, only Williams' competitors at CBS Evening News covered the Rangel scandal as Katie Couric reported Rangel "broke House rules," and Nancy Cordes told viewers he could be "censured," but didn't tell them that he was a Democrat.

Williams' NBC News colleague Amy Robach did mention the investigation into Rangel's wrongdoing, the next morning on the Today show, but omitted Rangel's party affiliation in the one and only story aired on the morning show.

~ Joey Hairplugs saying "Being Vice-President is easy, you don't do anything!

~ DingleBarry hogging the mic. Rationale? "Because I'M the president".

~ The Zero spoke for 119 minutes, Dems for 114 and republicans for 110. Prior to entering Blair House, knucklehead said he was there "to listen".

~ The Deafeatocrats were against reconciliation before they were in favor of it.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, over?

Anyhoo... all that aside, why is The Zero spending so much time and effort on healthcare? I thought it was "jobs, jobs, jobs"?

First you have a job, then you get healthcare, right? The only time it's the other way 'round is if you live in a Communist dictatorship.

First, You Have To Admit There's A Problem
Then you fix the problem itself

Here's most of the article from CatholicCulture.org; (Emphasis mine)
Leading African cardinal mourns loss of faith in Europe, North America

In an interview published in the February 24 edition of L’Osservatore Romano, the new president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace denounced “toxic elements of foreign cultures such as relativism and atheistic secularism” that are plaguing Africa.

Cardinal Peter Kodwo Appiah Turkson, who hails from Ghana, added that the Church in Africa laments the loss of faith in Europe and North America, from which missionaries had once left to preach the Gospel. Feeling “filial mercy” towards their “ancestors in the faith,” African bishops believe they “must support the Church in the lands of origin of the missionaries” and send priests to prevent parish closings in the West.

So when do we start cutting away the cancer that's destroying The Church from within?

To Be Honest, I'm Shocked She Hasn't Been Banished From California
Or worse

Take a wild guess who said this just the other day; (Empasis mine)
"The Bible says that marriage is between a man and a woman. In Leviticus it says, 'If man lies with mankind as he would lie with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death and their blood shall be upon them.' The Bible is pretty black and white," XXXX told Pop Tarts.

"I feel like God himself created mankind and he loves everyone, and [H]e has the best for everyone. If [H]e says that having sex with someone of your same gender is going to bring death upon you, that's a pretty stern warning, and [H]e knows more than we do about life."

"I also feel like sex was made for marriage. You really show your future husband or wife respect and you build a lot of trust before you get married. You don't have sex with other people, so that should definitely build trust, because you waited."
Give up?

Brown, 4 others in GOP break ranks to advance jobs bill

WASHINGTON - Senator Scott Brown came into office as someone who could deliver the pivotal vote for the GOP to halt Democratic initiatives. But yesterday, Brown delivered for the Democrats, helping them advance a jobs bill President Obama and his party seek.

In one of his first actions in the chamber, the freshman Bay State Republican joined four of his GOP colleagues in deciding to end debate on the $15 billion bill, allowing the Senate to avoid a filibuster and move ahead to a final vote, which requires a simple majority. The tally was 62 to 30.

The measure would extend the Social Security tax break to eligible employers through December and give an extra $1,000 per employee credit if the worker stays on the job for at least a year. The measure also includes an extension of popular highway programs.

So much for the actual workers getting a tax break. Oh, and what happens when all the pot holes are filled?

More Anti-Catholicism From The "Catholic" University Of San Diego
As usual, Bishop Brom does and says absolutely nothing

I believe this to be an important posting. If anyone thinks it's just USD that honors pro-abortion and pro-homosexual activists, you better think again. Notre Dame, Loyola, Georgetown, "Catholic" institutions all... routinely not only ignore Church teachings... they trample upon them.

I've posted about the anti-Catholic drivel oozing out of USD. Nothing's changed... status quo... Our Lady of Akita is proven right for the millionth time.

Here's the entire article from The California Catholic Daily; (Emphasis mine)

“Take their phones, their fax, their copiers”
Longtime pro-life nemesis Jim McElroy lionized in University of San Diego’s magazine

The Spring 2010 edition of USD Magazine, a publication of the University of San Diego’s communications department, features a full-page paean on San Diego attorney Jim McElroy, who graduated from the USD law school in 1977. What the article fails to mention is that McElroy is a lawyer for Planned Parenthood of San Diego and Riverside Counties who has made it his life’s work to bankrupt the pro-life movement.

USD identifies itself as “a Roman Catholic institution” whose mission is “grounded in Catholic social teachings, a tradition of thought and action that affirms the Church’s commitment to work for a just and peaceful society. Students are encouraged to explore how faith and reason are compatible in education, and to develop strong moral convictions.”

McElroy evidently meets the “strong moral convictions” element based on what is written about him in USD Magazine. “Jim McElroy is in the business of being unpopular,” the article begins. “Standing up for those whose rights have been not just violated, but decimated, McElroy is not looking for friends. He’s out for justice. And he has the law on his side.”

The article concentrates on McElroy’s legal battles against racism, especially in his capacity as chairman of the board of directors of the Southern Poverty Law Center. But it does not mention his association with Planned Parenthood or his role in attempts to remove the landmark cross from atop San Diego’s Soledad Mountain, a veterans’ memorial.

In 2005, McElroy described efforts to save the cross as “a waste of taxpayers’ money.”

But his ties to Planned Parenthood run much deeper. In 1995, McElroy received Planned Parenthood’s “Margaret Sanger Award,” named after the group’s eugenicist founder, and given to McElroy “for his work on behalf of women's rights.”

In 1996, the now defunct Womancare Health Center in San Diego, another abortion provider, honored McElroy for "outstanding work in protecting the rights of women,"

McElroy is perhaps best known by pro-lifers for his cutthroat legal tactics aimed at bankrupting them. In October 2002, for example, McElroy represented Planned Parenthood in a lawsuit against pro-lifers who witnessed outside Planned Parenthood’s Mission Valley clinic, persuading a judge to order the defendants to pay him and his clients $66,000 in attorney’s fees. A judge rejected an effort by McElroy to make individual participants pay the judgment, which they said would have bankrupted them.

According to a June 1994 Kaiser Health Daily Report, bankrupting pro-life groups is exactly the strategy McElroy has in mind: “San Diego attorney Jim McElroy, who has been successful retrieving money in KKK lawsuits, said that pro-choicers need to be aggressive when collecting: ‘You're not going to get $10 million from an organization with a $40,000 budget, but if you get their $40,000, that really has an effect. You can put a receiver on their post office box, you can take their phones, their fax, their copiers, and it cuts into what they can do.’"

California Catholic Daily asked USD Magazine editor Julene Snyder in a brief telephone interview if she was aware of McElroy’s association with Planned Parenthood. “No, I didn’t know about it,” she said. Asked whether, had she known about it, it would have changed her decision about the article, Snyder said, “I prefer not to comment.” She said she needed to consult with others at the magazine before saying anything else on the subject.

I Just Can't Believe This Happened In Holland
But will the priest fold like do many other of his confrères?

Here's the entire article from Radio Netherlands Worldwide; (Emphasis mine)
Church controversy over gay Carnival Prince

A Catholic priest in the south of the Netherlands has stirred up controversy by refusing to allow the local Prince Carnival to receive Communion because he is openly gay. Father Luc Buyens of the small town of Reusel took his stand at last Saturday’s Carnival Mass.

Carnival is a major public holiday in the southern Netherlands: shops and schools close and normal life grinds to a halt for three days of fun and festivities. An important part of the tradition is the election of a Prince Carnival, often a prominent member of the local community, to lead the Carnival celebrations. This year in Reusel, the honour fell to openly gay resident Gijs Vermeulen, who made no secret of his five-year relationship with his partner Michael in the weeks leading up to the celebrations.

Both the Catholic church and Carnival are very much part of the social fabric in the Netherlands’ southern provinces. The two are closely linked, since the Carnival festivities mark the start of Lent, a Christian period of fasting and renunciation leading up to Easter.

Carnival Mass
In his capacity as Prince Carnival, Gijs Vermeulen was due to address the congregation at the Carnival Mass and then lead them to receive Communion. But one week before the festivities were due to start, Father Buyens called Gijs to tell him that he would not allow him to take the sacrament. The Catholic Church officially condemns homosexuality and priests can refuse to administer the sacraments to practising homosexuals, though the Dutch clergy rarely do so.

"I was on the phone with him for almost half an hour," Gijs Vermeulen explained to Dutch gay magazine Gaykrant. "I told him we’re not living in the 14th century anymore but he wasn’t prepared to change his position."

Equal treatment
In the end, Mr Vermeulen attended the mass because he did not want to spoil the celebrations, but he continued his discussion with the church on Thursday. "I want to be treated the same as everyone else,” he insists. “I'm a Catholic. I made my first Communion and took Confirmation."

The renewed discussion has not brought the two sides any closer together. After his conversation with Father Buyens, Mr Vermeulen told the press that he accepts that the church is entitled to exercise its rules, but he is saddened by the nature of those rules.

This may not be the final word on the controversy. Today’s AD newspaper reports that a Labour councillor from a nearby town has called on the gay community to protest at the church in Reusel until the priest admits the error of his ways. Both Father Buyens and Gijs Vermeulen have declined to comment on the initiative.

Yep, the whining begins. Case in point;
Depending on the political persuasion of the person doing the looking, the now familiar "Obama billboard" next to the Oshkosh Correctional Institution on U.S. 41 might be an honest and brave expression of frustration by a democratic citizenry. Or a baseless and unpatriotic attack on America's leader.

To other observers, the sign is merely the latest example of rancor and unrest pervading the nation's political system by individuals and organizations exercising free-speech rights.

"You have this saturation of bile … and a toxic stew of lies. I think it's completely out of control and disgusting," said Joel Rogers, a professor of law, political science and philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

DingleBarry & My Credit Card
...and why I just cancelled it

Stick with me on this one --- it just might pertain to you.

Another example of the Doofus-in-Chief screwing up the economy. I only own two credit cards. Scratch that... just one.

Here's some of a letter I just got in the mail;
Important Information regarding future No Interest Promotions.

While government regulations are changing credit card programs across the industry, XXXXX's commitment to providing value to our loyal customers is not.

Specifically, with regard to the upcoming regulated changes, XXXXX would like to advise you that as of this February 22, 2010, all new deferred interest (No payment/No interest) promotional offers will require minimum monthly payments.
I got that particular credit card precisely because I wanted no payment/no interest for X amount of time. But now DingleBarry has changed that. He cares for me soooooo much, I now have to make "minimum payments" from the moment of purchase.

I know I have to pay the bill... of course! I had the bills paid waaaaay before the end of the grace period.

Now Here's The Kicker --- like I said, it's precisely because I had no interest accrued over a period of X months and I had the option to skip a monthly payment here and there depending on how I was managing my finances. Not anymore.

I had the financial freedom to buy things that I normally wouldn't have purchased. Granted, the company never made one cent from me in interest payments, but I bought hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise. Not anymore.

Idiot-stick has taken away yet another small slice financial latitude and longitude that I once had to pump money into the economy. Not anymore.

Because of him, my discretionary spending has been cut way back. Too bad we can't say the same out the federal government.

BTW, when I called to cancelled this credit card, the customer service rep asked why I was cancelling. I gave her a two word answer: "barack obama". She understood perfectly.

But did you know (I didn't!) that he also warned us that if Catholicism ever loses sight that it's primary function is the salvation of souls and not social peace and justice, then The Church is essentially nothing more than a bunch of glorified social workers, just with better finery. Costa Rica Or You Local Nervous Disorder Parish?
You make the call

Can you spot all the differences between The Traditional Latin Mass and your mainstream Novus Ordo hootenanny?

http://www.gloria.tv/?media=52347

Here's the differences I've spotted, from start to end;
1. Laity raising their hands as if they are 'co-consecrating'. Either that, or they've just become moslems.

2. Mantillaless Concubine-in-Residence of some local politician shakes hands with Christ instead of kneeling in reverence.

3. Said MC-i-R is stumping for her sugar daddy with the presider-in-chief of local Novus Ordo Worshipitorium. "Can we count on your vote on election day?"

4. MC-i-R physically takes Host away from presider-in-chief. Archpresider Nomáscajones embarrassingly walks away after being punked out.

5. Kneeling during Holy Communion? Not if you don't actually believe in that antiquated belief in the Real Presence.

6. MC-i-R mistakes her novio's pocket for a bowl of salsa.

7. Archpresider Nomáscajones accuses MC-i-R of "being inappropriate and disrespectful of the Eucharist", when in reality, him allowing this travesty to become the norm in the first place, is inappropriate and disrespectful of the Eucharist.

So That's What It's Like To Live In An Ivory Tower
It must be nice to be so absolutely and utterly clueless

I can't read the news on any given day without finding out that Catholics have been massacred by moslems in Iraq; a 12-yr-old Catholic girl in Pakistan was kidnapped, raped, beaten then murdered by her moslem 'employer' (then he was set free); Catholic school girls are gunned down in overwhelmingly moslem Indonesia; moslem protesters in London carrying placards saying in essence that anyone who doesn't embrace mohammed should be beheaded, etc, etc.

Here's some of the article from Zenit.org; (Emphasis and comments mine)
Cardinal Tauran: We Shouldn't Fear Islam
Says Interreligious Dialogue Can Deepen Faith

GRANADA, Spain, FEB. 18, 2010 (Zenit.org).- The president of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue is affirming that Catholics should not fear Islam, but rather welcome the chance for deepening their faith through interchange with Muslims. (And what can I learn from murderous thugs who renounce the Divinity of Christ and the complete existence of The Holy Ghost?)

Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran affirmed this in Granada during his Feb. 10 opening address for a two-day congress sponsored by the Faculty of Theology of Granada. The congress was titled "Christianity, Islam and Modernity."

"We must not fear Islam," the prelate affirmed, "but I would say more: Christians and Muslims, when they profess their own faith with integrity and credibility, when they dialogue and make an effort to serve society, constitute a richness for the latter." (What happened to serving God? Silly Caveman... it's all about The Cult of Man, and kissing as much moslem ass as humanly possible.)
I wrote a posting back in '06 concerning gutless 'shepherds' who lack the testicular fortitude to defend Christ and His Church.

When it come to a rather large percentage of alleged leaders in the Catholic Church, I haven't seen backbones this jelly-filled since the days of Neville Chamberlain... or Pope John Paul II.

Martha, Mary And A Bastardized Faith
More common sense observation from Michael Voris

Did you know that roughly one quarter to one third of Catholics in Latin America have abandoned The Faith?

In a nutshell, here's why - Traditional Catholicism is Mary. The "Spirit of Vatican II" is Martha. Period, end of story, watch the video, attend the Traditional Latin Mass only.

Damian Thompson of The Telegraph (London) hits another one out of the park

Vatican confirms freedom of priests to celebrate Extraordinary Form whenever they like – no need for 'stable group'
By Damian Thompson

Good news from Rome: the Vatican has further underlined the freedom of priests to celebrate Mass in the Extraordinary Form whenever they choose. Two important points have been clarified by Ecclesia Dei, which will make it more difficult for the English, Welsh and above all Scottish bishops to stall the implementation of Summorum Pontificum:

1. A priest does NOT have to be approached by a “stable group” of the faithful in order to schedule a PUBLIC celebration of the Extraordinary Form – he may choose to do so, for example, in order to introduce his parishioners to this ancient form of the Roman Rite. Or because it’s his aunt’s birthday. Any reason, really.

2. A Mass in the Extraordinary Form may replace a regularly scheduled Mass in the Ordinary Form.

You can find more details of the Ecclesia Dei ruling here, on the excellent New Liturgical Movement blog. I do hope that priests will be encouraged by this document to exercise their full rights under Summorum Pontificum. I know of several instances in which British bishops are trying to undermine the Pope’s wishes, though I’m not going to go public where it would make the situation worse. But it is common knowledge that the situation is particularly serious is Scotland, where EF Masses are extremely rare and official claims that there is no demand for them need to be scrutinised very carefully, shall we say. More on that later.

Meanwhile, traditionalist priests and seminarians should take heart. Your hour is coming.

I Know Food At The Chow Hall Sucked...
But this is ridiculous

OK, ok. I know I shouldn't make light of this story, but why not? The Zero's administration won't take this attempt at mass murder serious, either.

From Fox News; (Emphasis mine)

Army Investigates Alleged Attempt by Soldiers to Poison Food at Fort Jackson

The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that soldiers were attempting to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.

The ongoing probe began two months ago, Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, told Fox News. The Army is taking the allegations “extremely seriously,” Grey said, but so far, "there is no credible information to support the allegations."

The suspects were part of a Arabic translation program called "09 Lima" and use Arabic as their first language, two sources told Fox News. Another military source said
they were Muslim.

Grey would not confirm or deny the sources’ information.
Like I said, DingleBarry won't take this serious. After all, the Christmas Day Bomber was just an "isolated extremist". And as far as the Ft. Hood Massacre, we were told by Great Leader not to "jump to conclusions".

Anyhow, if this story proves to be groundless, I'll post the update.

Oh, and in the interests of full disclosure... the best burgers I ever ate, were at the 8th Engineer Bn. chow hall at Camp Lejeune, NC.

Undoubtedly, if Jules Winnfield ever ate there, this is what he'd say --

By The Fruits, You Shall Know Them
And the sound and fury accompanying them

Cardinal George of Chicago recently made some noise concerning the heretical New Ways Ministry. Specifically, here's a bit of what he stated; (Emphasis mine)

“No one should be misled by the claim that New Ways Ministry provides an authentic interpretation of Catholic teaching and an authentic Catholic pastoral practice. Their claim to be Catholic only confuses the faithful regarding the authentic teaching and ministry of the Church with respect to persons with a homosexual inclination. Accordingly, I wish to make it clear that, like other groups that claim to be Catholic but deny central aspects of Church teaching, New Ways Ministry has no approval or recognition from the Catholic Church and that they cannot speak on behalf of the Catholic faithful in the United States.”Well isn't that special?

New Ways Ministry has countered with their listing of "gay friendly parishes nation-wide". Dozens and dozens of parishes that the Lavender Mafia staked out for their own.

The USCCB knows it, and predictably, not a damn thing will happen because of it. Think certain pastors will be replaced? For some reason, the words "snowball's chance" and "hell" come to mind. And notice that six cathedrals and five official shrines are also on the below listing. Shameful.

Oh, and another reason as to why the above proclamation by Cdl. George is essentially hot wind? Scroll down to the Sodomite-Parish listing and see just how many are within the city limits of Chicago. Never mind the other Illinois cities that fall into Cdl. George's jurisdiction.

Here's what I predict will happen now that H.E. has thrown down the gauntlet:

Nothing. He'll skulk back to the shadows and write another check to CCC and the other pro-homosexual/pro-abortion groups the USCCB is saddled up with. Bet on it.

In the meantime, here the (in)famous listing of butt-sniffers that have infiltrated The Church.

Two Decades As President!?
Just something you might want to pass on to your Defeatocrat friends

As we all know, Bush managed to get us $5 trillion in the hole over a period of 8 years. The Zero has added $12 trillion to the national debt in 1 year.

Even if The South-Side Stooge ceased his spending orgy right this second (and you know damn good and well he won't), that means that Bush would have to be President of the United States for 20 years straight to equal the damage DingleBarry has done in one short year.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Why Is This Catholic School Failing?
A blind man could see why

Oops... that would be sight impaired. That's it, isn't it?? "Sight impaired"? Or is it "Vision Othercapped"? Hell, I don't know.

Anyhow, I was reading today's California Catholic, and I came across this article about, yet another, failing Catholic School. In this case, Resurrection Academy in Fontana, California.

So I decided to take a gander at this institution's homepage. It goes without saying that I ran into the phrase "Catholic Christian" more than once. As I've said before, isn't "Catholic Christian" pretty much the same as saying "male father" or "female daughter"? Is this a case of The Catholic Christian mob having a grand time painfully pointing out the obvious... or they somehow consider generic Christianity (Protestantism) on an equal footing with Catholicism?

With that said, under the Education tab, I came across this;
"...instill the values of Catholic schools..." Why not "instill the values of the Catholic Church"? This a Catholic school... isn't it?I also perused their handbook, and saw some rather interesting information.

Under SPIRITUAL GOALS:
To teach our children the basic principles and practices of Catholic/Christian Doctrine. (Keep this in mind -- BASIC principles. And again with the Catholic/Christian.)

To provide opportunities for the students to share faith with others by serving the needy and less fortunate in the community.

To build a faith community which values the gift and uniqueness of each person.

To help students be aware of their responsibility to be involved in the Church community.

To provide students with a solid moral foundation to enable them to make good moral decisions in their lives.
(Ahh, but now the kiddies are expected to have a "solid moral foundation". How could they have anything solid when they've only been taught the basics? That simply defies common sense.)

To provide students with a respect for life and the wonder of creation. (I don't know about you, but I'm ready to dance around the Sacred Oak.)
And of course, under SOCIAL GOALS;
To enhance students’ conscious awareness of the needs of the world, be concerned, and actively promote peace and social justice.EMOTIONAL GOALS were oh-so-predictable. Here's some of them;
To develop in each student a positive self-image.

To instill in every student a respect for each individual wants, needs, and feelings.
Yeah, it's all about me.

This section here under Student Learning Expectations is just absurd in the extreme. 3c and 4c just couldn't get more generic and relativistic if they tried. Breathe deep. There's a strong stench of 'the fresh breeze' of the Spirit of Vatican II in the air. Below emphasis mine -
3. Creative critical thinkers who:
a. can critically analyze and synthesize spoken and written word.
b. are able to adapt in multi-faceted ways within an ever-changing environment.
c. can analyze and integrate the information and resources around them to form their own Christian based opinions. (Elementary age kids!?)

4. Moral decision makers who:
a. cognitively and rationally distinguish between moral and immoral choices.
b. regard life’s decisions based on formal and informal education.
c. use the Gospel values and teachings of the Church
as well as personal family belief systems when deciding appropriate courses of actions.
I don't know which is more obvious --- the utter lack of moral absolutes or the one-size-fits-all version of generic Christianity they push there.

Like I said at the beginning of this post, the problem with this "Catholic" school is so obvious, a blind man could see it.

Jessica Alba - Catholic Role Model?
Nooooot quite

Yes, Jessica Alba is one helluva cutie pie. Did I just say "cutie pie"? Hell, she's smokin' hot.

And with that said, I must say it's quite refreshing read this article from CathNewsUSA; (Emphasis mine)
No nudity for Jessica

Citing the influence of her Catholic upbringing, Jessica Alba has vowed never to do onscreen nudity.

Alba admits she's happy to take on sexy roles and don revealing outfits in movies, but fans shouldn't ever expect her to bare all for the cameras, Canoe reports.

She told Britain's Scarlet magazine, "No, I'll never do a nude scene. I can act sexy and wear sexy clothes but I can't go naked. I think I was always very uncomfortable about the way my body developed, and I remember my grandmother would freak out and throw a towel over me if she saw me wearing just a bra and panties.

"I come from a very Catholic family so it wasn't seen as a good thing to flaunt yourself like that. I can handle being sexy with clothes on but not with them off."
Without gushing too much over young Jessica, to say that she's pushed the envelope all the way to the edge (and sometimes beyond), would be an understatement of monumental proportions. But I must give her a helmet tip for at least speaking of her Catholicism in a positive way. Like I said... that's refreshing.

And as attractive as Miss Alba is, with all due respect to her, I must say that my then and still all-time favorite from Hollywood is Princess Grace. No one coming out of the world of entertainment will ever come close to matching her grace, class and beauty.

Joe The Plumber Calls Out The Sell Outs
This post very well may upset some folks, but I have no other choice...

Let's review. John McCain suspended his presidential campaign to concentrate on a zillion dollar corporate bail-out. Some Republican.

John McCain actually favored 'Cap & Trade'. Some Republican.

Bottom line - it's precisely because of The Tea Party Movement that conservatives (both Republican and Independent... and yes, even Democrats) have stood up and screamed out in unison "WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK!" And it's also precisely because of alleged Republicans like McCain that helped spawn the TPM in the first place.

And let's be honest --- If it weren't for the Tea Party Movement keeping her in the lime-light, Sarah Palin would currently be the answer to a Trivial Pursuit question. Not only that, but it's arguable that without the TPM, Scott Brown would have had a helluva lot more of a tougher time winning his recent election.

So what do Palin and Brown do to further the Red, White and Blue Revolution? They both campaign for.... wait for it.... John McCain.

Here's the entire article from TheHill.com; (Emphasis mine)
Joe the Plumber goes off on McCain, says he 'screwed up my life'
By Eric Zimmermann - 02/14/10 11:12 AM ET
Joe the Plumber is no longer a fan of either Sarah Palin or John McCain, it seems. Joe, also known as Sam Wurzelbacher, told an audience in Pennsylvania this week that McCain "is no public servant."

"McCain was trying to use me," Wurzelbacher said, according to public radio correspondent Scott Detrow. "I happened to be the face of middle Americans. It was a ploy.” "I don’t owe him s—," Wurzelbacher continued. "He really screwed my life up, is how I look at it.”

In fact, Wurzelbacher's dislike for McCain is so strong that he no longer supports Sarah Palin simply because Palin will campaign for McCain's re-election. As for Obama: "I think his ideology is un-American, but he’s one of the more honest politicians. At least he told us what he wanted to do."

President Barack Obama at Graham Road Elementary School , Falls Church , Virginia , January 19, 2010

A presidential campaign – $ 1,000,000,000 and more

A failed economic stimulus plan – $ 800,000,000,000

Bail out for auto manufacturers – $ 50,000,000,000

Bail out for banks – $ 140,000,000,000

Increase in the federal deficit – $ 2,000,000,000,000 plus

A President of the United States of America who needs a teleprompter to speak before a classroom full of six year old kids.

That Idiot Obama Is Going To Get Marines Killed
And Brits and Canadians and Afghans

I've already posted how this idiot of a president purposfully held back 25% of what our troops need to win in Afghanistan. But to make matters worse, he's now tying one hand behind their backs.

Here's some of a rather interesting article from MSNBC; (Emphasis mine)
Troops: Strict war rules slow Afghan offensive
Rules were imposed to spare civilian casualties and win public support

MARJAH, Afghanistan - Some American and Afghan troops say they're fighting the latest offensive in Afghanistan with a handicap — strict rules that routinely force them to hold their fire.

Although details of the new guidelines are classified to keep insurgents from reading them, U.S. troops say the Taliban are keenly aware of the restrictions.

"I understand the reason behind it, but it's so hard to fight a war like this," said Lance Cpl. Travis Anderson, 20, of Altoona, Iowa. "They're using our rules of engagement against us," he said, adding that his platoon had repeatedly seen men drop their guns into ditches and walk away to blend in with civilians.

If a man emerges from a Taliban hideout after shooting erupts, U.S. troops say they cannot fire at him if he is not seen carrying a weapon — or if they did not personally watch him drop one.

No quick air support
What this means, some contend, is that a militant can fire at them, then set aside his weapon and walk freely out of a compound, possibly toward a weapons cache in another location. It was unclear how often this has happened. In another example, Marines pinned down by a barrage of insurgent bullets say they can't count on quick air support because it takes time to positively identify shooters.

"This is difficult," Lance Cpl. Michael Andrejczuk, 20, of Knoxville, Tenn., said Monday. "We are trained like when we see something, we obliterate it. But here, we have to see them and when we do, they don't have guns."
