Obama The African (Marxist) Colonial

This is a great article written by a native Nigerian who immigrated to the United States in the '70's. This article is important to read in its entirety and my comments would not improve it at all one bit, so I just copy it here in its entirety. This is from the American Thinker website. And here is the link: http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/06/obama_the_african_colonial.html

Obama, the African Colonial By
L.E. Ikenga

Had Americans been able to stop obsessing over the color of Barack Obama's skin and instead paid more attention to his cultural identity, maybe he would not be in the White House today. The key to understanding him lies with his identification with his father, and his adoption of a cultural and political mindset rooted in postcolonial Africa.

Like many educated intellectuals in postcolonial Africa, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was enraged at the transformation of his native land by its colonial conqueror. But instead of embracing the traditional values of his own tribal cultural past, he embraced an imported Western ideology, Marxism. I call such frustrated and angry modern Africans who embrace various foreign "isms", instead of looking homeward for repair of societies that are broken, African Colonials. They are Africans who serve foreign ideas.

The tropes of America's racial history as a way of understanding all things black are useless in understanding the man who got his dreams from his father, a Kenyan exemplar of the African Colonial.

Before I continue, I need to say this: I am a first generation born West African-American woman whose parents emigrated to the U.S. in the 1970's from the country now called Nigeria. I travel to Nigeria frequently. I see myself as both a proud American and as a proud Igbo (the tribe that we come from -- also sometimes spelled Ibo). Politically, I have always been conservative (though it took this past election for me to commit to this once and for all!); my conservative values come from my Igbo heritage and my place of birth. Of course, none of this qualifies me to say what I am about to -- but at the same time it does.

My friends, despite what CNN and the rest are telling you, Barack Obama is nothing more than an old school African Colonial who is on his way to turning this country into one of the developing nations that you learn about on the National Geographic Channel. Many conservative (East, West, South, North) African-Americans like myself -- those of us who know our history -- have seen this movie before. Here are two main reasons why many Americans allowed Obama to slip through the cracks despite all of his glaring inconsistencies:

First, Obama has been living on American soil for most of his adult life. Therefore, he has been able to masquerade as one who understands and believes in American democratic ideals. But he does not. Barack Obama is intrinsically undemocratic and as his presidency plays out, this will become more obvious. Second, and most importantly, too many Americans know very little about Africa. The one-size-fits-all understanding that many Americans (both black and white) continue to have of Africa might end up bringing dire consequences for this country.

Contrary to the way it continues to be portrayed in mainstream Western culture, Africa is not a continent that can be solely defined by AIDS, ethnic rivalries, poverty and safaris. Africa, like any other continent, has an immense history defined by much diversity and complexity. Africa's long-standing relationship with Europe speaks especially to some of these complexities -- particularly the relationship that has existed between the two continents over the past two centuries. Europe's complete colonization of Africa during the nineteenth century, also known as the Scramble for Africa, produced many unfortunate consequences, the African colonial being one of them.

The African colonial (AC) is a person who by means of their birth or lineage has a direct connection with Africa. However, unlike Africans like me, their worldviews have been largely shaped not by the indigenous beliefs of a specific African tribe but by the ideals of the European imperialism that overwhelmed and dominated Africa during the colonial period. AC's have no real regard for their specific African traditions or histories. AC's use aspects of their African culture as one would use pieces of costume jewelry: things of little or no value that can be thoughtlessly discarded when they become a negative distraction, or used on a whim to decorate oneself in order to seem exotic. (Hint: Obama's Muslim heritage).

On the other hand, AC's strive to be the best at the culture that they inherited from Europe. Throughout the West, they are tops in their professions as lawyers, doctors, engineers, Ivy League professors and business moguls; this is all well and good. It's when they decide to engage us as politicians that things become messy and convoluted.

The African colonial politician (ACP) feigns repulsion towards the hegemonic paradigms of Western civilization. But at the same time, he is completely enamored of the trappings of its aristocracy or elite culture. The ACP blames and caricatures whitey to no end for all that has gone wrong in the world. He convinces the masses that various forms of African socialism are the best way for redressing the problems that European colonialism motivated in Africa. However, as opposed to really being a hard-core African Leftist who actually believes in something, the ACP uses socialist themes as a way to disguise his true ambitions: a complete power grab whereby the "will of the people" becomes completely irrelevant.

Barack Obama is all of the above. The only difference is that he is here playing (colonial) African politics as usual.

In his 1995 memoir, Dreams From My Father -- an eloquent piece of political propaganda -- Obama styles himself as a misunderstood intellectual who is deeply affected by the sufferings of black people, especially in America and Africa. In the book, Obama clearly sees himself as an African, not as a black American. And to prove this, he goes on a quest to understand his Kenyan roots. He is extremely thoughtful of his deceased father's legacy; this provides the main clue for understanding Barack Obama.

Barack Obama Sr. was an African colonial to the core; in his case, the apple did not fall far from the tree. All of the telltale signs of Obama's African colonialist attitudes are on full display in the book -- from his feigned antipathy towards Europeans to his view of African tribal associations as distracting elements that get in the way of "progress". (On p. 308 of Dreams From My Father, Obama says that African tribes should be viewed as an "ancient loyalties".)
Like imperialists of Old World Europe, the ACP sees their constituents not as free thinking individuals who best know how to go about achieving and creating their own means for success. Instead, the ACP sees his constituents as a flock of ignorant sheep that need to be led -- oftentimes to their own slaughter.
Like the European imperialist who spawned him, the ACP is a destroyer of all forms of democracy.

Here are a few examples of what the British did in order to create (in 1914) what is now called Nigeria and what Obama is doing to you:

1. Convince the people that "clinging" to any aspect of their cultural (tribal) identity or history is bad and regresses the process of "unity". British Imperialists deeply feared people who were loyal to anything other than the state. "Tribalism" made the imperialists have to work harder to get people to just fall in line. Imperialists pitted tribes against each other in order to create chaos that they then blamed on ethnic rivalry. Today many "educated" Nigerians, having believed that their traditions were irrelevant, remain completely ignorant of their ancestry and the history of their own tribes.

2. Confiscate the wealth and resources of the area that you govern by any means necessary in order to redistribute wealth. The British used this tactic to present themselves as empathetic and benevolent leaders who wanted everyone to have a "fair shake". Imperialists are not interested in equality for all. They are interested in controlling all.
3. Convince the masses that your upper-crust university education naturally puts you on an intellectual plane from which to understand everything even when you understand nothing. Imperialists were able to convince the people that their elite university educations allowed them to understand what Africa needed. Many of today's Nigerians-having followed that lead-hold all sorts of degrees and certificates-but what good are they if you can't find a job?
4. Lie to the people and tell them that progress is being made even though things are clearly becoming worse. One thing that the British forgot to mention to their Nigerian constituents was that one day, the resources that were being used to engineer "progress" (which the British had confiscated from the Africans to begin with!) would eventually run out. After WWII, Western Europe could no longer afford to hold on to their African colonies. So all of the counterfeit countries that the Europeans created were then left high-and-dry to fend for themselves. This was the main reason behind the African independence movements of the1950 and 60's. What will a post-Obama America look like?
5. Use every available media outlet to perpetuate the belief that you and your followers are the enlightened ones-and that those who refuse to support you are just barbaric, uncivilized, ignorant curmudgeons. This speaks for itself.

America, don't be fooled. The Igbos were once made up of a confederacy of clans that ascribed to various forms of democratic government. They took their eyes off the ball and before they knew it, the British were upon them. Also, understand this: the African colonial who is given too much political power can only become one thing: a despot.

Oh, Yes... Things Have Changed
Can you spell H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E-S?

Remember when this was the war-cry of Liberals? Ummm... but only when they weren't in the majority. How things have changed.

From NewsBusters.org; Krugman Accuses Republicans Of 'A Form Of Treason'

Remember the good old days—when dissent was patriotic? Fuggedaboutit. Dissent isn't merely unpatriotic now. It's downright treasonous. Just ask Paul Krugman.

If, like virtually all House Republicans and a handful of Dems, you don't agree with the likes of Henry Waxman on the need to take radical measures on the climate, you're guilty of . . . "a form of treason." Treason against the planet, to be precise.

That was Krugman's formulation in his New York Times column of today, Betraying The Planet.

Krugman has obviously drunk deep from the carafe of Al Gore Kool-Aid, writing [emphasis added]:

"We’re facing a clear and present danger to our way of life, perhaps even to civilization itself."
From there, it's an easy hop, skip and jump to branding those who don't go along with Obama-Waxman's economy-wrecking cap-and-tax bill as traitors. Perhaps Krugman could get Gore to record a re-mix of his famous clip accusing Pres. Bush of having "betrayed" the country.

Pissing Away The Money You Gave To The Collection Plate Wasn't Enough
Socialists in Roman Collars?

WARNING! Harsh language alert!

And where do you think the money came from when over one BILLION clams were paid out when most of our feckless 'shepherds' protected a very small handful of ordained kiddie-rapists? That's right... it came from you and me. OUR money paid for those settlements.

Well, if you thought that most of the members of the USCCB would leave well enough alone... think again.

Here's the entire article from CatholicCulture.org; (Emphasis and comments mine.) US Catholic hierarchy shows support for legislation requiring massive tax hike

The US bishops have given their enthusiastic support to the Waxman-Markey bill, a piece of legislation designed to address climate change, which Republican opponents have characterized as entailing "the largest tax increase in American history."

The American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 proposes a complicated series of schemes known as "cap and trade," ultimately imposing taxes on the carbon-dioxide emissions that are cited as a major factor in global warming. Even before the 1,200-page legislation was made available to Congress, the members of the House of Representatives received a letter from two leading representatives of the American Church, giving their strong endorsement for the bill.

Bishop Howard Hubbard, who chairs the US bishops' committee on international justice and peace; and Ken Hackett, the president of Catholic Relief Services, welcomed the introduction of the Waxman-Markey bill. They criticized the legislation only because, in their view, it did not include adequate funding to protect the poor-- in the US and abroad-- from the bill's economic impact. Bishop Hubbard and Hackett argued that "the funding resources committed to international adaptation fall fundamentally short of what is needed." Their letter also suggested measures to protect churches and non-profit agencies from the adverse economic effects. (In other words, government subsidies for churches. I suspect Dingle Barry will wholeheartedly support this provision. Don't worry about Obama taking control of our Church... we'll hand it to him.)

By pointing to the ways in which the legislation could harm the economic interests of the poor and the non-profit sector, Bishop Hubbard and Ken Hackett demonstrated that they were aware of the bill's economic costs. But their letter to Congressmen betrayed no concern at all about how the bill would affect ordinary American families above the poverty level.

The Congressional Budget Office, in its analysis of the legislation, concluded that the Waxman-Markey bill would entail new costs of $770 a year for the average American family. A separate analysis by the Heritage Foundation suggested that this figure was grossly understated, and the actual costs would be closer to $3,000 per year for a typical family of four-- rising steadily up to $4,600 by the year 2035. The Heritage analysis added that the bill would increase gasoline prices by 58%, home heating oil by 56%, and electric rates by 90%. The total drag on the economy would likely result in a loss of over 1 million jobs, Heritage concluded. In spite of this enormous cost, the Foundation argued, the Waxman-Markey bill would produce only a miniscule effect on the process of climate change, producing a drop in world temperatures of "only hundredths of a degree Celsius" in the next 40 years.
Liberation Theology is alive and well north of the Rio Grande.

Enough of this bullshit.

Is it any surprise that Obama would team up with Castro and Chavez and lament the fact that a commie thug in Honduras was ousted?

I wish we could oust our own commie thug here in the U.S. See article from the Wall Street Journal.

Honduras Defends Its Democracy
Fidel Castro and Hillary Clinton object.
By MARY ANASTASIA O'GRADY

Hugo Chávez's coalition-building efforts suffered a setback yesterday when the Honduran military sent its president packing for abusing the nation's constitution.
It seems that President Mel Zelaya miscalculated when he tried to emulate the success of his good friend Hugo in reshaping the Honduran Constitution to his liking.
But Honduras is not out of the Venezuelan woods yet. Yesterday the Central American country was being pressured to restore the authoritarian Mr. Zelaya by the likes of Fidel Castro, Daniel Ortega, Hillary Clinton and, of course, Hugo himself. The Organization of American States, having ignored Mr. Zelaya's abuses, also wants him back in power. It will be a miracle if Honduran patriots can hold their ground.
Associated Press
That Mr. Zelaya acted as if he were above the law, there is no doubt. While Honduran law allows for a constitutional rewrite, the power to open that door does not lie with the president. A constituent assembly can only be called through a national referendum approved by its Congress.
But Mr. Zelaya declared the vote on his own and had Mr. Chávez ship him the necessary ballots from Venezuela. The Supreme Court ruled his referendum unconstitutional, and it instructed the military not to carry out the logistics of the vote as it normally would do.
The top military commander, Gen. Romeo Vásquez Velásquez, told the president that he would have to comply. Mr. Zelaya promptly fired him. The Supreme Court ordered him reinstated. Mr. Zelaya refused.
Calculating that some critical mass of Hondurans would take his side, the president decided he would run the referendum himself. So on Thursday he led a mob that broke into the military installation where the ballots from Venezuela were being stored and then had his supporters distribute them in defiance of the Supreme Court's order.
The attorney general had already made clear that the referendum was illegal, and he further announced that he would prosecute anyone involved in carrying it out. Yesterday, Mr. Zelaya was arrested by the military and is now in exile in Costa Rica.
It remains to be seen what Mr. Zelaya's next move will be. It's not surprising that chavistas throughout the region are claiming that he was victim of a military coup. They want to hide the fact that the military was acting on a court order to defend the rule of law and the constitution, and that the Congress asserted itself for that purpose, too.
Mrs. Clinton has piled on as well. Yesterday she accused Honduras of violating "the precepts of the Interamerican Democratic Charter" and said it "should be condemned by all." Fidel Castro did just that. Mr. Chávez pledged to overthrow the new government.
Honduras is fighting back by strictly following the constitution. The Honduran Congress met in emergency session yesterday and designated its president as the interim executive as stipulated in Honduran law. It also said that presidential elections set for November will go forward. The Supreme Court later said that the military acted on its orders. It also said that when Mr. Zelaya realized that he was going to be prosecuted for his illegal behavior, he agreed to an offer to resign in exchange for safe passage out of the country. Mr. Zelaya denies it.
Many Hondurans are going to be celebrating Mr. Zelaya's foreign excursion. Street protests against his heavy-handed tactics had already begun last week. On Friday a large number of military reservists took their turn. "We won't go backwards," one sign said. "We want to live in peace, freedom and development."
Besides opposition from the Congress, the Supreme Court, the electoral tribunal and the attorney general, the president had also become persona non grata with the Catholic Church and numerous evangelical church leaders. On Thursday evening his own party in Congress sponsored a resolution to investigate whether he is mentally unfit to remain in office.
For Hondurans who still remember military dictatorship, Mr. Zelaya also has another strike against him: He keeps rotten company. Earlier this month he hosted an OAS general assembly and led the effort, along side OAS Secretary General José Miguel Insulza, to bring Cuba back into the supposedly democratic organization.
The OAS response is no surprise. Former Argentine Ambassador to the U.N. Emilio Cárdenas told me on Saturday that he was concerned that "the OAS under Insulza has not taken seriously the so-called 'democratic charter.' It seems to believe that only military 'coups' can challenge democracy. The truth is that democracy can be challenged from within, as the experiences of Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and now Honduras, prove." A less-kind interpretation of Mr. Insulza's judgment is that he doesn't mind the Chávez-style coup.
The struggle against chavismo has never been about left-right politics. It is about defending the independence of institutions that keep presidents from becoming dictators. This crisis clearly delineates the problem. In failing to come to the aid of checks and balances, Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Insulza expose their true colors.

Is This True?
Or just another internet hoax?

There's another e-mail floating around asking the musical question "What did Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?" (Click here to read the original e-mail.)

The bottom line is that all three deported millions of illegal aliens who were a drain on the economy and taking jobs from Americans.

I thought the possibility existed that this may yet another jingoistic e-hoax... until I looked into it.

From Wikipedia; In 1929, President Hoover authorized the Mexican Repatriation Program. To combat rampant unemployment, the burden on municipal aid services, and remove people seen as usurpers of American jobs, the program was largely a forced migration of an estimated 500,000 Mexicans and Mexican Americans to Mexico. The program continued through 1937.Here's some info from The Harry S Truman Library & Museum; 154. Special Message to the Congress on the Employment of Agricultural Workers from Mexico

July 13, 1951
To the Congress of the United States:
The presence of these illegal workers has a seriously depressing effect on wages and working conditions in farm areas throughout the southwest. The standards of living and job opportunities of American farm workers are under constant downward pressure. Thousands of our own citizens, particularly those of Latin descent, are displaced from employment or forced to work under substandard conditions because of the competition of these illegal immigrants.
And from The Dwight D. Eisenhower Library & Museum; Various groups urged the U.S. Government to curb this illegal migration. Critics claimed that the illegal aliens depressed wages, lowered living standards, increased crime and otherwise contributed to social problems in the United States. In 1954-55, the Eisenhower Administration endeavored to round up large numbers of these Mexican aliens and deport them back to Mexico. It worked then, it can work now. And while I'm at it, what's this garbage about "Comprehensive Immigration Reform"? The only damn thing that needs "reforming" is our national policy of being gutless wimps who refuse to enforce our own laws.

Another Myth Demolished
Next time you're put on the spot by a Catholic-basher

How can a celibate, unmarried man with no biological children of his own tell me how to be a good husband and father? He can't.

But then again, I don't go to my priest for guidance on how to be a good husband and father... I go to him for guidance on how to be a good CATHOLIC husband and father.

WHAT!? You Mean There Really Was Slavery Up North?
And White slaves, too!?

Interesting little article from the AP. Here's some of it; (Emphasis mine) RI closer to changing state name over slavery

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The country's smallest state has the longest official name: "State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations."

A push to drop "Providence Plantations" from that name advanced farther than ever on Thursday when House lawmakers voted 70-3 to let residents decide whether their home should simply be called the "State of Rhode Island." It's an encouraging sign for those who believe the formal name conjures up images of slavery, while opponents argue it's an unnecessary rewriting of history that ignores Rhode Island's tradition of religious liberty and tolerance.

In 1663, English King Charles II granted a royal charter joining all the settlements into a single colony called "The Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations." The name stuck. Rhode Island used that royal charter as its governing document until 1843.

Opponents of the name charge argue that "plantations" was used at the time to describe any farming settlements, regardless of slavery.

Still, Stanley Lemons, a professor emeritus of history at Rhode Island College, said changing the state's name ignores the accomplishments of [colony founder, Roger] Williams, whose government passed laws trying to prevent the permanent servitude of whites, blacks and American Indians.
More politically correct nonsense. Doesn't their state government have more important things to do?

And with apologies (not really) to historical revisionists, the fact of the matter is, not one single slave was freed by the Emancipation Proclomation. That pronouncment was the biggest public relations coup since the so-called Tonkin Gulf Incident.

Sodomites In The Attack Mode
Angry fairy alert!!

I'm just thooo angry!

Here's just a taste of a great article from Human Events; (Emphasis mine) When Gays Attack
by Gary Bauer

Reactions to Perez Hilton’s tantrums reveal a cultural movement unhinged by the very behavior it claims to abhor.

Earlier this year, Hilton, the overtly gay celebrity gossip blogger, went on an expletive-laced tirade against Miss USA contestant Carrie Prejean for acknowledging her support for traditional marriage. But it was Prejean, not Hilton, a pageant judge, who was labeled a “disgrace” by the media and asked by pageant sponsors to publicly apologize.

Such is life in an America where smoking and eating fatty foods are fast becoming sins punishable by the state and anti-homosexual rhetoric, real and imaginary, has become the gravest sin of all, punishable under hate crimes statutes.

Actually, according to the cultural Left, “I support traditional marriage” seems to have become the most hateful thing you can say.

Consider Hilton, who later apologized to Prejean only to retract the apology a day later, explaining with a laugh, “I was thinking the c-word and I didn't say it.” Those comments by Hilton prompted no outrage in the media.

Instead, the outrage was directed at Prejean. “You need to apologize to the gay community,” was what pageant officials allegedly told her after she reluctantly “outed” herself as a supporter of normal marriage. “You need to not talk about your faith. This has everything to do with you representing California and saving the brand.”

No matter that Prejean was representing California, majorities of whose voters have twice voted to enshrine in their constitution the exact belief Prejean articulated on stage.

The real apology needed to come from homosexual activists who, immediately after more than six million Californians voted last November to uphold the traditional definition of marriage, participated in riot-like protests across the nation.

Conservative churches were picketed and vandalized, and church services were disrupted. Envelopes containing white powder were sent to several Mormon temples. And a postcard sent to the homes and businesses of many financial donors of Proposition 8 read: “If I had a gun, I would have gunned you down along with each and every other supporter.” Other donors were forced to resign from their jobs after they were revealed as contributors to the Prop 8 effort.

This may seem like a harsh reaction to democracy in action. But the gay rights movement has always had an erratic relationship with basic democratic values.

Last May, gay activists shut down an American Psychiatric Association panel because two evangelicals were scheduled to appear. Ahead of the California vote, San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom declared that same-sex marriage was coming to California “whether you like it or not.” Recently, a student at Los Angeles City College sued the school after a professor called him a “fascist bastard” and refused to allow him to finish a speech against gay marriage during a public speaking class.

After the Massachusetts Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage, adoption agencies receiving government funds were told they could no longer place children only with opposite-sex spouses. Catholic Charities, the state’s most prolific adoption service, was thus forced to choose between closing its doors and violating one of the Church’s most fundamental teachings. When it asked the state for a religious exemption, gay rights leaders suggested that the Church was evil for asking for it. That sad reality underscores how the common retort, “How does my same-sex marriage affect you?” no longer works.

Homosexuality used to be referred to as “the love that dare not speak its name.” Today, homosexual activists display a hatred that just won’t shut up.
Would you expect any different from those who consider literally ripping a rectum inside-out to be "love"? Active homosexuals are some sick puppies. The really sad thing is, America is just starting to figure it out.

What A Wonderful Sign Of Devotion
Simple, just like St. Thérèse

In this day and age of Catholics for Obama, Bongo Masses and even some of our own priests who question (if not outright deny) The Real Presence, this sure is a nice change of pace; Astronaut to carry another relic of St. Therese to space in 2011

Rome, Italy, Jun 25, 2009 / 11:57 am (CNA).- U.S. astronaut Ronald Garan, who brought a relic of St. Thérèse of Lisieux with him on the Discovery space shuttle during his last trip to space, attended Pope Benedict XVI’s Wednesday audience this week and was greeted by the Pontiff.

In 2011, Garan plans to bring another relic of the saint with him on a mission to the international space station.

According to L’Osservatore Romano, the idea of bringing “a relic came to fruition because of his spiritual bond with the Carmelites of New Caney, Texas.”

Garan and his family founded the Manna association, a NASA entity which has developed a system for generating potable water for Rwanda and has provided solar panels for schools and hospitals in the country.
The lifting up of St. Thérèse isn't exactly something new. My beloved has a great devotion to St Thérèse, and told me the following story. From LittleFlower.org; (Emphasis mine) Thérèse was aware of her littleness. "It is impossible for me to grow up, so I must bear with myself such as I am with all my imperfections. But I want to seek out a means of going to heaven by a little way, a way that is very straight, very short and totally new." Thérèse went on to describe the elevator in the home of a rich person.

And she continued: "I wanted to find an elevator which would raise me to Jesus, for I am too small to climb the rough stairway of perfection. I searched then in the Scriptures for some sign of this elevator, the object of my desires and I read these words coming from the mouth of Eternal Wisdom: 'Whoever is a little one let him come to me.' The elevator which must raise me to heaven is your arms, O Jesus, and for this I have no need to grow up, but rather I have to remain little and become this more and more," And so she abandoned herself to Jesus and her life became a continual acceptance of the will of the Lord.
Figuratively, spiritually... and now literally, St. Thérèse is being elevated into the heavens.

Good job, Colonel Garan.

DENVER, Colorado, June 24, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Episcopal Church has to clarify God's official position on abortion - at least so says a priestess of the church, who claims that a proposed rite for post-abortive women conflicts with church theology and that the Deity "rejoices" when women elect to abort their children.

Rev. Nina Churchman wrote a letter to Episcopal Life Online expressing her outrage upon learning that her church has developed a healing rite for post-abortion women sorrowful over their abortion that seems to have language alluding to "sin" and "guilt."

Churchman said she "was sickened to discover that the rite for abortion is couched wholly in terms of sin and transgression."

The priestess also took particular umbrage with the words, "I seek God's forgiveness" and the words "God rejoices that you have come seeking God's merciful forgiveness."

"The Episcopal Church, by resolution, has long held that women have the freedom to choose an abortion," asserted Churchman. "It is not considered a sin."

The Episcopal Church's "long held" position permitting abortion dates back to 1967, when the church began to lobby for abortion in limited cases (i.e. rape, incest, fetal deformity, health of the mother), which by 1994 had become a full-blown defense of a right to an abortion. The church's previous position on abortion, had lasted much longer. As late as 1958 the church had expressed an unequivocal defense of over 1900 years of Christian tradition against abortion, stating, "Abortion and infanticide are to be condemned."

"Women should be able to mourn the loss of an aborted fetus without having to confess anything," declared Churchman.

"God, unlike what the liturgy states, also rejoices that women facing unplanned pregnancies have the freedom to carefully choose the best option - birth, adoption or abortion - for themselves and their families."
Ba'al would be proud. Catholics For A Free Choice would be proud. Barack Hussein Obama would be proud.

Lucifer is surely proud.

"Catholic Nun", My Big Ol' Butt!!
... And I'm the Emperor of China

WARNING!! Of course... a harsh language alert.

Could someone please tell me how and why a Catholic alleged nun is involved with this heresyitorium? This is a prime example of pure unadulterated 100% pure American bullshit.

So many apostates, so few writs of excommunication.

Here's some of the article from BeliefNet.com; (Emphasis mine)
Catholic Nun, Evangelical to Lead Presbyterian Seminaries

Two seminaries in the Presbyterian Church (USA) have branched out to find new leaders, with one appointing a Catholic nun as dean (I reiterate... Catholic nun, my ass) and the other naming a prominent evangelical as president.

When Sister Elizabeth Liebert takes over as dean of San Francisco Theological Seminary on June 30, she will become the first Catholic nun to lead a PCUSA seminary, according to the school. Liebert has taught at SFTS for 22 years, and was the first Roman Catholic to receive tenure at the 138-year-old seminary. (That's because Catholics usually avoid heresy. Until the 'Spirit' of Vatican II screwed things all to hell)

"We are particularly pleased to be attaining a historic ecumenical milestone," (you can puke now) said SFTS President Phil Butin. "Dr. Liebert's deanship is a sterling example of SFTS's thoroughgoing commitment to ecumenical theological education."

"Behind me is my whole religious community," said Liebert, a member of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. "I know they all stand behind me. They function as my family. We're always talking and praying."
(And yes, I've checked out her Order's website. And what a polyester nightmare it is)

Dominus Vobiscum, Y'all
Solemn High Mass in Greensboro, North Carolina

Traditional Catholicism in the Deep South. Nothing like Latin with a Southern drawl.

My co-conspirator, Seminarian Philiph G. Johnson of In Caritate Non Ficta fame, has posted the following on his blog -
Solemn High Mass for the External Solemnity of the Sacred Heart

On Sunday, June 21, 2009, Fr. Robert Ferguson, FSSP returned to Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Greensboro, NC to offer a Solemn High Mass (Extraordinary Form) to celebrate the External Solemnity of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In January of 2008 (Feast of the Holy Family), Fr. Ferguson offered the first Traditional Latin Mass in this church in over 40 years. The pastor, Fr. Fidel Melo, kindly invited him back this year.

As you can see, the church is perfectly suited for the Extraordinary Form, as the original high altar is still in place:

The elevation of the Sacred Body of Our Lord:

The elevation of the Precious Blood:

Please swing by Philip's blog and check out the rest of the photos. Inspiring, indeed. And you must admit, Our Lady of Grace is a stunning church! I wish it was in our diocese!

"Why Is The Catholic Church Going Back To The Dark Ages?"
Yes, some Catholics still ask that rather stupid question

H.E. Michael F. Burbidge, Diocese of Raleigh, NC (in choir). Father Paul M. Parkerson - Celebrant. Nicholas Aul - Master of Ceremonies.

I ran across the above question in one of the Catholic forums I frequent. Of course, the individual who posed the question was thrown aback that His Holiness had actually freed the Traditional Latin Mass.

"Back to the Dark Ages", 'eh? If that's the case -

If God should be the center of our lives instead of ourselves, I'll happily go back to the Dark Ages.

If our lives are guided by moral absolutes instead of the dictatorship of relativism, I'll happily go back to the Dark Ages.

If our priests are willing to defend Holy Mother The Church even unto death, I'll happily go back to the Dark Ages.

If we take our Catholicism seriously, I'll happily go back to the Dark Ages.

From CatholicCulture.org; (Emphasis mine) Evangelicals now rival Catholic presence in Guatemala
June 23, 2009

Evangelical groups are making enormous inroads in Guatemala, recruiting thousands of new members from the Catholic community, reports Aid to the Church in Need. The group estimates that nearly half of the population of the country-- once staunchly Catholic-- is now Evangelical.
Must be that "fresh breeze" I've been hearing so much about.

It's OK to puke now.

For all of you who still think the Novus Ordo (Mass of Paul VI or the Ordinary form of the Roman Rite) is as good as the Traditional Latin Mass in passing on the Faith of our Fathers....look at these photos and think again. Good luck!

What Do They Have In Common?
Some we know, some we might not

There's been somewhat of a disagreement I've had with a couple of folks concerning the Traditional Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo. Much like the Chevy Chevette and Lamborghini Concept S shown above, there are similarities and differences in the two.

Both vehicles have four wheels, and internal combustion engine and are capable of getting you from point A to point B.

Both liturgies require a priest, have a valid Consecration and are suppose to lead one to God.

If you start out on I-40 in coastal North Carolina, floor it westbound, you'll be well on your way to the high desert of California.

By it's very nature, the Lamborghini will probably exceed the 70 MPH speed limit. And barring anything getting in the way, you're going to be playing golf in Palm Springs in no time. By the way, on your lil' cross-country jaunt, there will be little doubt in your mind that you're in a real car.

The Chevy Chevette on the other hand --- well, if you were to floor it, let's just say you'll be lucky to make it as far as Duplin County before the engine explodes. Ergo, toolin' around in said Chevy Chevette means you're going to HAVE to be very, very careful. By it's very nature... by it's very engineering... this thing is iffy, at best.

Oh, don't get me wrong! You can slap a snappy paint job on your Chevette and make it loook pretty. You can surround your $500 POS with a $1,000 stereo system and jam out to insipid and syrupy-sweet vaguely Folk-Rockish tunes to your hearts content. But at the end of the day, know what you've got? That's right... a Chevy Chevette.

Now, some folks have never ridden in a Lamborghini Concept S, so it's not their fault if they don't know what this car is all about. Some have never even HEARD of a Lamborghini Concept S, so again, it's not their fault if they don't know what this car is all about. And there are some that, through no fault of their own, only have Chevettes available to them, so forget about even having access to a Lamborghini Concept S.

Sadly, some are aware of the Lamborghini Concept S, but they hate it because in order to have one, they actually have to put forth some effort in life to afford it. These folks hate the Lamborghini Concept S so much, they want everyone to be stuck with a Chevy Chevette... just like them.

For these folks, it's very convenient --- EASY, if you will --- to be perfectly happy with their Chevette. No effort is needed having one. It's generic enough for them to add various doo-dads to it to make it ever so comfortable and suit their needs. And if it falls apart, no big deal. They never took that car serious to begin with.

May God Bless Pope Benedict XVI
And may God bless Bishop Fellay, SSPX

This should clear up some misconceptions that many have concerning the SSPX. From an interview with Die Presse (Austria) Die Presse: There are two points of conflict: on one hand your thesis, the deposit of the Faith is generally in danger, and your rejection of specific documents of the Second Vatican Council. Do you want Rome to take back or modify these documents, or is a "we agree to disagree" possible?

Fellay: The current confusion comes in large part from a cultural crisis of our world and not just the church - a crisis of thought, of philosophy. Some points of the crisis however also took concrete form in the Council. We see some causes of the crisis in the Council. Rome should be prepared to foster clarity, because there are many interpretations of the Vatican Council. What exactly should we recognize? Every theologian interprets the documents so differently. The Holy Father had to condemn already the interpretation of the Council as discontinuity and a break with the past. But 80% of bishops and theologians want this fracture. In this matter, we are not the problem.

Who Is This Mysterious "The Vatican"?
The same as the famous "them"

This article from CatholicCulture.org states that "the Vatican" is warning the SSPX not to ordain 21 new priests. A number, I might add, that puts the vast majority of Orders and diocese to shame.

But anyhow, I know that the rebellious Austrian and a few other Roman Protestant bishops in Germany have melted-down into apoplectic hissy-fits over the Society, but does anyone know of anyone in a position of authority in the Vatican who has issued some sort of warning to the SSPX?

Didja Ever Notice?
I have

Isn't it stange how the vast majority of those that attend that nasty ol' Traditional Latin Mass have a firm grasp on The Real Presence, especially in light that the TLM is "in a language that nobody understands".

Yet, a rather large percentage of those that attend the Mass of Paul VI either don't understand or purposfully choose to deny The Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist, even though it's broken down in Kindergarden English?

Surely I'm not the only one who's noticed this.

And don't call me Shirley.

Have I Got A Deal For YOU!
Barry's Mile of Cars

Can someone please explain to me why 1 BILLION clams has been attached to a military appropriations bill to fight the War on Terrorism, but this billion bucks is for the 'Cash-For-Clunkers' program of the Federal Government?

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN DC!? Have they all gone stark raving mad?

Here's some of the article from Hearst Newspapers (San Francisco Gate) ; (Emphasis and comments mine) Cash for clunkers
Now that Congress has passed the cash-for-clunkers bill, I'll answer some questions I've been getting about this controversial program.

First some basics: The bill was included in the Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2009 (HR 2346), which provides emergency funding for our wars in the Middle East. President Obama is expected to sign the bill.

The original idea was to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce our dependence on oil. But the concept was carjacked by Detroit and turned into another way to stimulate new-vehicle sales. (And who runs Detroit? King Barry the Worst. Don't insult our intelligence.)

As passed, people who trade in a vehicle made in 1984 or later that gets 18 miles per gallon or less can get a taxpayer-financed voucher to buy a new vehicle getting slightly better gas mileage.

For passenger cars, the new car must get at least 4 mpg better for a $3,500 voucher or 10 mpg better for a $4,500 voucher.

For light trucks and SUVs, the mileage improvement must be 2 mpg for a $3,500 voucher or 5 mpg for a $4,500 voucher.

For pick-ups and vans weighing between 6,000 and 8,500 pounds, the new vehicle must get at least 15 mpg. The voucher will be for $3,500 if the new vehicles gets at least 1 mpg better than the old one or $4,500 for a 2 mpg improvement. (This isn't about better gas mileage. It's about control.)

Congress only provided $1 billion for the program, but everyone figures that's just a down payment. "The industry is going to come racing back for more money," says Dan Becker, director of the Safe Climate Campaign.
("Only $1,000,000,000? By the way, "the industry" is the Federal Government. Have you Obamanation enablers and apologists at Hearst Newspapers forgotten that 60% of GM is owned by the Feds? Again, please don't insult out intelligence.)

Who Knew Bloglodytes Were Terrorists?
The Cavemen doth protest too much

Ya think the Doofus-In-Chief had any influence? Here's some of the article from FoxNews.com; Enjoy. Pentagon Exam Calls Protests 'Low-Level Terrorism,' Angering Activists

A written exam administered by the Pentagon labels "protests" as a form of “low-level terrorism” — enraging civil liberties advocates and activist groups who say it shows blatant disregard of the First Amendment.

The written exam, given as part of Department of Defense employees’ routine training, includes a multiple-choice question that asks:

“Which of the following is an example of low-level terrorism?”

— Attacking the Pentagon

— IEDs

— Hate crimes against racial groups

— Protests

The correct answer, according to the exam, is
"Protests."

“Its part of a pattern of equating dissent and protest with terrorism," said Ann Brick, an attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, which obtained a copy of the question after a Defense Department employee who was taking the test printed the screen on his or her computer terminal.

"It undermines the core constitutional values the Department of Defense is supposed to be defending,” Brick said, referring to the First Amendment right to peaceably assemble.

Bill Wilson, president of the Americans for Limited Government, which supported the Tea Party demonstrations earlier this year, agreed. "Groups like Al Qaeda and Hezbollah, paramilitary organizations that are striking at out at something they oppose or hate, that's terrorism," Wilson said.

"To equate that in any degree with citizens being able to express themselves seems to me to be headed down a road where all dissent is suspect and questionable."
The ACLU and Americans for Limited Government in agreement? Who says God doesn't exist?

I Knew Obama Hated Sarah Palin...
But this is ridiculous

As we all know by now, Hawaii is getting it's missile defense beefed up in preparation to North Korea making a lot of noise about it's nuclear missiles. But Hawaii already has 16 of the Navy's 18 Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense-equipped ships are assigned to the Pacific Fleet, in other words, either in or relativly close to Hawaiian waters.

With all that said, according to this source, check out the distances - Distance from Pyongyang, North Korea to Honolulu, Hawaii is 4631.7 Miles

Distance from Pyongyang, North Korea to Anchorage, Alaska is 3750.6 Miles

Distance from Pyongyang, North Korea to Adak, Alaska is 2873.5 Miles
So why does Hawaii rate the added protection? Oh... wait, I know. The boyhood part-time hometown of a certain Barack Hussein Obama is --- wait for it --- Honolulu, Hawaii.

I get it now.

In a sick sort of way, I feel sorry for Achbishop Niederauer. It would seem that he's made a career out of endearing himself to every far-left loon, all in the twisted "Spirit" of Vatican II.

I know this is kind of a long read, but I ask that you stick with it.

After 40+ years of ingratiating themselves to the Sons of Sodom, did anyone really think this wouldn't be the natural consequence of all the milquetoasts within The Church, both cleric and lay?

Here's some of the article from The California Catholic Daily; (Emphasis mine)
“Poisonous tenor”
San Francisco ‘gay pride’ group votes to dishonor archbishop at behest of Most Holy Redeemer parishioner

At the urging of a member of Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the San Francisco LGBT Pride Celebration Committee has voted to dishonor Archbishop George Niederauer with a “Pink Brick” award for causing “significant harm to the LGBT community.”

The decision was spurred by Matt Dorsey, a member of the Parish Council at San Francisco's ‘gay friendly’ Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. In an opinion piece written for the homosexual-oriented newspaper Bay Area Reporter, Dorsey objected to the original decision by the Pride Celebration Committee to award the Pink Brick to dethroned Miss California, Carrie Prejean. Dorsey said “we need not have looked beyond our own city limits: San Francisco Archbishop George Niederauer” in a column published under the headline
“Niederauer deserves Pink Brick.”

Archbishop Niederauer was singled out for his support last year of Proposition 8, the successful initiative constitutional amendment adopted by voters restricting marriage to between one man and one woman and later upheld by the California Supreme Court. "We hope that with this Pink Brick, we can educate the community about Archbishop Niederauer's work to deny LGBT couples equal protection under the law,” Mikayla Connell, president of the Pride Celebration Committee told the Reporter. “Archbishop Niederauer's support of Proposition 8, which is not representative of all faith communities or even of all Catholics, has only served to harm LGBT families, many of whom are Catholic themselves."

Dorsey also attacked the Archdiocese of San Francisco for “the poisonous tenor” of campaign materials provided under the auspices of the archdiocese in support of Proposition 8. “Clearly, no one expected Archbishop Niederauer to break with the Vatican on the issue of marriage equality,” wrote Dorsey. “But few were prepared for the spiritual leader of 400,000 Bay Area Catholics to offer the imprimatur of our church to such dishonest, divisive and deliberately hurtful rhetoric.”

According to the web site of Most Holy Redeemer Church, Dorsey is a member of the nine-person Parish Pastoral Council, charged with “responding to the needs of parishioners by proposing pastoral initiatives, policies, and programs, or themes in cooperation with the Pastor, pastoral staff and relevant archdiocesan resources and ministries.” The council also meets twice a year with the Parish Finance Committee “to review the financial condition of the parish and consult regarding the annual budget.”

According to a biography posted on the Most Holy Redeemer web site, Dorsey has been a parishioner since 2004. His past activities have included organizing the parish’s contingent to annual ‘gay pride’ parades, and arranging a parish presence at the annual Castro Street Fair. Dorsey is employed as communications director for San Francisco City Attorney Dennis Herrera.

Most Holy Redeemer, located in the city’s Castro District, has repeatedly made news over the years for its homosexual-friendly activities: it is the parish where Archbishop Niederauer gave Communion to two transvestites dressed as nuns in 2007 (the archbishop later apologized), the parish where the same group of transvestite “nuns” – the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence – once held bingo games to raise money until they were kicked out on orders of the chancery in 2006, and the parish that regularly sends a contingent to San Francisco “gay pride” parade until ordered by the archdiocese to stop participating in the event. According Jesuit Fr. Donal Godfrey, currently director of university ministry at the University of San Francisco, the parish is where the so-called “rainbow flag,” the banner of the homosexual-rights movement, was invented.
And for those who rhetorically ask why don't these individuals just leave The Church? They won't. Why? They simply are of the desire to destroy The Catholic Church.

And for Abp. Niederauer, when you lie with dogs, don't be surprised when you get fleas. This is your fault. You brought this on yourself.

If the Sodomite community is of the opinion that you've abandoned them, allow me to remind you that many of the Faithful have come to the conclusion that you've abandoned Catholicism long ago... and political correctness and Modernism have become your new god.

Perhaps this is the catalyst needed to have you defend the Church without apology or conditions.

Are You Really Surprised?
Not that we expected any different

A whole bunch of ink was spilled in the recent Notre Damned scandal. Even though there were a few courageous bishops who stood up and defended The Church, many of us couldn't help but notice that only 1/5th of our 'shepherds' were conspicuously silent.

So for those who actually thought there would be consequences for Jenkins raping of Holy Mother the Church, you shouldn't have gotten your hopes high.

Here's some of the article from CatholicCulture.org; (Emphasis mine) Key US bishops: No ecclesiastical sanctions against Notre Dame

On the first day of their three-day meeting in San Antonio, the bishops of the United States... two key bishops-- Bishop Gerald Kicanas of Tucson, vice president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, and Auxiliary Bishop Thomas Curry of Los Angeles, chairman of the Committee on Catholic Education, said there would be no sanctions against the University of Notre Dame for honoring President Barack Obama at its May 17 commencement ceremony.

Asked, “So far as you’re aware, there’s no push among the bishops to punish Notre Dame in some way?” Bishop Kicanas said, “I haven’t heard that. There could be a bishop who would say that, but I haven’t heard it.”
Could anyone blame me for saying I simply don't trust (or respect) most of the American bishops?

Obama's Master Says 'Jump'...
The South-Side Stooge asks: 'how high?'

WARNING! Harsh language alert.

Just yesterday, I posted that in an editorial from the Communist Party of the USA, they gave a recipe for a better America. Same old Marxist horseshit -- amnesty for illegals, socialized healthcare, demand confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor, etc, make me vomit, etc.

Amazing how the Communists are lock-step in line with The Zero, huh? Or is it the other way 'round?

One of the key ingredients to a more Soviet Socialist Republic of Amerika was to 'boycott Fox News'. Keep in mind that this editorial was as of the 14th of this month.

Well, within two days time, this happened; (Emphasis mine) Obama: ‘I’ve got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration.’

During an interview with President Obama that aired on CNBC yesterday [16 June, 2009], chief Washington correspondent John Harwood said, “When you and I spoke in January, you said — I observed that you hadn’t gotten much bad press. You said it’s coming.” Harwood added that since then, Obama still hasn’t received much critical press and wondered if his administration isn’t being “sufficiently held accountable.” Obama, however, disagreed:
OBAMA: It’s very hard for me to swallow that one. First of all, I’ve got one television station that is entirely devoted to attacking my administration. I mean, you know, that’s a pretty…

HARWOOD: I assume you’re talking about Fox.

OBAMA: Well, that’s a pretty big megaphone. And you’d be hard pressed if you watched the entire day to find a positive story about me on that front.

Am I the only one who sees the timing between the Communists and Dingle Barry as somewhat suspect? I surely hasn't been lost on me.

See the stuttering buffoon here -

I take back what I said at the beginning of this post. When the Communists tell ass-wipe to jump, he not only asks 'how high?', he also asks 'and when can I come down?'

It's time to wake-the-hell-up, America.

"...And There Is No One Here To Stop Them."
Lucifer looks up and smiles at USF

Here's some of a sad, but honest article from The California Catholic Daily; (Emphasis mine) "Like saying Hillary Clinton is a Carmelite nun"
USF professor says Jesuit school has lost its Catholic identity

"Calling USF a Catholic school is like saying Hillary Clinton is a Carmelite nun," a philosophy professor at the Jesuit-run university told the archdiocesan weekly Catholic San Francisco in a story published in its June 12 edition.

USF philosophy professor Raymond Dennehy made his comments during an interview with Catholic San Francisco about the school’s decision to award dissident Bishop Kevin Dowling of Rustenburg, South Africa, an honorary degree and for inviting him to deliver the commencement address to undergraduate humanities and sciences students during May 22 graduation ceremonies. Bishop Dowling also delivered the homily at a pre-commencement Mass.

Bishop Dowling has defied Church teaching on abstinence before marriage, saying, “Abstinence before marriage and faithfulness in a marriage is beyond the realm of possibility here.” The Catholic San Francisco headline for the story read, “USF honors dissenting South African bishop.”

“Dennehy said the university has set out to form a Catholic identity separate from the Church's teaching on issues like abortion and homosexuality, citing examples like the invitation of Pelosi and the appointment to head of campus ministry of Jesuit Father Donal Godfrey, an outspoken proponent of gay-friendly theology,” reported
Catholic San Francisco.

"USF has chosen to go its own way, and there is no one here to stop them,” Dennehy told the newspaper. “What is Catholic teaching? What is the so-called ‘institutional Church' if we don't have to pay attention to it?"

Since President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad 'landslaide' election victory, Iranian presidential candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi has been arrested.

Tehran Univ. political scientist Ahmad Ziadabadi, and prominent political blogger Saeed Shariati were also arrested.

The campaign manager for another reformist presidential candidate Mehdi Karoubi, and the brother of former reformist Iranian president Mohammad Khatami, Reza Khatami, were arrested.

Leading Iranian reformist Mohammad Ali Abtahi was arrested.

Tens of thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets to protest Ahmadinejad 'stealing' and 'rigging' the election.

Seven have been killed so far.

However, since all this has been taking place, comments from The Zero have been rare, to say the least. Here's the only thing here's said to this point in time, from McClatchy Newspapers; President Barack Obama on Monday spoke cautiously in his first comments about the election, in an apparent attempt to preserve his initiative for direct diplomacy with Iran on a range of issues, including its nuclear program.

He said he was "deeply troubled" by the violence against the protesters, but that it was "up to Iran to determine its own leaders," and as "odious as I consider some of President Ahmadinejad's statements," he was determined to continue pursuing "tough, direct dialogue."
What a Tower of Jello. Then again, maybe Dingle Barry is taking notes on how to do it right.
