"Catholic Nun", My Big Ol' Butt!!
... And I'm the Emperor of China
WARNING!! Of course... a harsh language alert.
Could someone please tell me how and why a Catholic alleged nun is involved with this heresyitorium? This is a prime example of pure unadulterated 100% pure American bullshit.
So many apostates, so few writs of excommunication.
Here's some of the article from BeliefNet.com; (Emphasis mine)
Catholic Nun, Evangelical to Lead Presbyterian Seminaries
Two seminaries in the Presbyterian Church (USA) have branched out to find new leaders, with one appointing a Catholic nun as dean (I reiterate... Catholic nun, my ass) and the other naming a prominent evangelical as president.
When Sister Elizabeth Liebert takes over as dean of San Francisco Theological Seminary on June 30, she will become the first Catholic nun to lead a PCUSA seminary, according to the school. Liebert has taught at SFTS for 22 years, and was the first Roman Catholic to receive tenure at the 138-year-old seminary. (That's because Catholics usually avoid heresy. Until the 'Spirit' of Vatican II screwed things all to hell)
"We are particularly pleased to be attaining a historic ecumenical milestone," (you can puke now) said SFTS President Phil Butin. "Dr. Liebert's deanship is a sterling example of SFTS's thoroughgoing commitment to ecumenical theological education."
"Behind me is my whole religious community," said Liebert, a member of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. "I know they all stand behind me. They function as my family. We're always talking and praying." (And yes, I've checked out her Order's website. And what a polyester nightmare it is)

"And what a polyester nightmare it is"
HA HAAAA!!
P.S. Sadly the general public will think that "The Vatican" is totally ok with all of this! And directed it!
In my experience with this order, it really should be renamed "Sisters of the 'Holy' Names of Isis and Astarte".
Social workers who don't date -- indeed. JimC
Will some Catholic bishops please anathematize her and that order?! Mine already have long ago.
Another order that has bastardized the vision & charism of its founder.
"Like Jesus, we are sent to liberate, to call to wholeness and to be instruments of Peace and Love."
something tells me that their idea of liberate, peace & love are 180 degrees from what Jesus ment.
When I went on the website, it raised 1 question: where did the 1 sister with the habit come from?
Al, she is the decoy.
"We're always talking and praying."
Ummm... the talking probably takes a lot of precedence over the praying. Rosary, anyone, "Sisters"?
Nah, I thought not.
Fr. Erik, I think you just might be right.
