Obama-supporting priest responds to critic(s)

By Matt C. Abbott

In my Oct. 29 column, I featured a Southern California Catholic priest, Father Art Holquin, who had donated to the Obama campaign. (Keep in mind that if Father Holquin had merely voted for Obama — the moral aspect aside — no one, save for God, would have known. But Father chose to give money to the campaign, and such contributions are public record. It's bad enough he voted for Obama, but to give money to the campaign was even worse.)

From Catholic journalist and activist Allyson Smith:

"Please pray for the conversion of Father Art Holquin, pastor of San Juan Capistrano mission, who reveals his malformation of conscience by his having donated to the campaign of pro-abortion, pro-sodomy Barack Hussein Obama — and upon discovery of his donation, now seeks to exonerate himself. How could any truly Catholic priest vote for Obama?

"My [Allyson Smith's] comments to Father Holquin's explanation letter are interspersed in red text and square brackets."

'October 28, 2008

'Dear [name redacted]

'In light of the email that you recently sent out to a number of Knights of Columbus in our parish, permit me the opportunity for a response.

'As an American [What about as a Catholic?], it has always been my great privilege as a faithful citizen of this Land [What about being faithful to your Catholic faith?], to cast my vote for the candidates of my choice [Gee, where have we heard about 'choice' before?].

'As a priest, I am guided by my conscience [How well-formed is your conscience? Is it properly-formed according to Church teaching?] in supporting candidates that I hope and pray will do the greatest good for the greatest number of God's people, especially the poor, the sick, the unemployed, the elderly, and persons of color [What about the unborn?] that are very much a part of our society and my parish in particular. So, I bring to this moment a great deal of serious reflection aware of the values and the convictions that I hold as a Roman Catholic.

'While I vigorously oppose Mr. Obama's pro-choice voting record [Really? Then why did you donate to his campaign?], his clear opposition to the War in Iraq which is indeed a life issue, his strong and vocal stance against the use of torture, which is a life issue, his commitment to a responsible universal Health Care system in our land particularly for those who are on the margins, which is a life issue, as well as his very reasoned approach to addressing the present economic crisis that we face have brought me to this personal decision of support. [Gee, what about the 'life issue' of innocent babies being murdered daily via abortion? What do opinions about the Iraq war, torture, health care, or the current economic crisis matter for those who have been deprived of the most fundamental right to life?]

'Our Lord Jesus spent much of his ministry trying to heal the sick and thus I support candidates who seek to ensure that everyone's health needs in this country are met, especially those of our young children. [What about our 'young children' in the womb? Did not John the Baptist, at six months' gestation, leap in Elizabeth's womb when our newly-pregnant Blessed Mother Mary visited her, just days after her 'fiat' where she said 'Yes' to becoming the Mother of God? How then, Father Holquin, can you support a man who has no problem tearing children from their mother's wombs through all nine months of pregnancy, and even beyond?]

'There never has been, and perhaps never will be, a perfect candidate for the highest office in our land, but the question I am always left with is: when all is said and done, who do I honestly believe will do the most to address the basic needs of God's people? [Although there were no perfect candidates, there was a clear selection in this election: pro-abortion, pro-sodomy Obama-Biden versus pro-life McCain-Palin. It's unbelievable that you, Father Holquin, a Catholic priest, failed this most basic test of discernment about which ticket to support.]

'It has never been my intention to ever use my public position as Pastor of Mission Basilica in a partisan manner to draw others to support the candidate of my personal choice [notice the 'choice' rhetoric].

'However, in reference to the Initiatives that are presently on the California Ballot, namely Proposition 4 and 8, I am in complete support of the positions taken by the California Conference of Bishops and have supported our parish efforts through our pro-life committee to support these efforts. [Father Holquin, how can you claim to support Props 4 and 8, yet financially contribute to a presidential candidate who vigorously and publicly supports sodomy and abortion-on-demand through all nine months of pregnancy?]

'I make no apologies for such voting decisions that are private and ones that I have arrived at after a very careful and thoughtful process of deliberation. [God help you, Father Holquin, for adhering to such a misguided and malformed thought process.] Additionally, I respect those who may vigorously disagree with my personal choices ['choice' rhetoric, once again.] This is both the gift as well as the challenge of the democracy in which we live. [Actually, Father, the United States was founded as a representative republic, not a democracy. Hence the Pledge of Allegiance phrase 'and to the Republic for which it stands.' Please go back and study the history of how the United States was founded.]

'Fr. Art'

This blog post gives a bit of background on Father Holquin.

Another priest in the Orange Catholic diocese, Father Fred Bailey, also donated to the Obama campaign. (Father Bailey is the priest who celebrated a "Halloween" Mass in which he dressed up as the character Barney.)

As for Bishop Tod Brown, he reportedly commented at a recent event "that calling and sending letters to his office complaining about the situation would not make any difference."

Jesus Christ, His Church, And His Successor Be Damned
And Archbishop Lefevbre was "excommunicated" for what, again?

Is this the Springtime of the Church that I've been hearing so much about?

Here's the entire article from The Daily Mail (London, UK); (Emphasis mine) Be careful not to offend gay worshippers, Catholic priests warned

Roman Catholic priests have been banned from using 'heterosexist' language in their churches in case they offend gay worshippers. They have been told by their bishops not to assume that every churchgoer is a heterosexual and to reflect this 'in language and conversation'. 'Remember that homophobic jokes and asides can be cruel and hurtful - a careless word can mean another experience of rejection and pain,' say the bishops in a leaflet advising priests and worshippers how to be more welcoming to gay people.

Activists say any moves by the Catholic Church to be more tolerant of homosexuality are undermined by Pope Benedict XVI's opposition to gay marriage. Priests are also encouraged to put up posters advertising 'support services' for homosexuals, a move bound to infuriate many Catholics who believe gay sexual activity to be sinful.
The advice was welcomed by gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell as a 'positive initiative which will bring great comfort to gay Catholics and their families'.

He said: 'Its sympathetic, understanding message is a big improvement on the past homophobia of some Catholic pronouncements on homosexuality.'

However, he said the 'laudable change of tone' was undermined by the 'homophobic content of the Catholic Catechism' and by Pope Benedict XVI's opposition to gay marriage.
The advice was criticised by Lynette Burrows, a Catholic commentator, as 'pitiful'. She said it was ridiculous that Church leaders appeared to be 'grovelling' to a secular agenda.

'It is things like this that are enfeebling the Church at the moment - the concentration on things that don't matter and missing the things that do,' she said.
'What is pitiful as well as demeaning is that the Church is running after homosexual opinion but nothing is going to make homosexuals like the Catholic Church.

'This is because the Catholic Church teaches that homosexuality is a disorder and whatever the bishops say will not change that.'
Well, Lynette, when you have a bunch of faggots and faggot enablers running the Church in England and Wales... what do you expect?

God, Why Did You Do This?
He was just a lil' fellah

Right around this time of year, my wife and I get pretty sad. This is when Paul James was suppose to have been born if he had made it to term. Instead, the little boy who never even saw the light of day now is in a special part of Heaven.

For years my wife never understood why God took Paul James from us. Literally, for decades my wife never understood why. Until recently.

Awhile back... out of nowhere, she quietly sobbed to me, but very matter of factly said "now I know why God took Paul James. If he'd have lived, he would have wanted to be like you and joined the Marines. He would have gone to Iraq and been killed in combat. God knew that I would never have been able to handle that. And that's why God took Paul James as a baby."

And I'm absolutely convinced that The Holy Ghost touched my wife one day and let her know exactly why we lost our son. Like the old saying goes - God never gives us more than we can handle.

It may take days, years... even decades to understand why God does what He does. Maybe not even in this lifetime. But there's a reason for everything.

As I say at the end of my daily Rosary - "Paul James, my son who occupies that special part of Heaven, pray for me son, your father. Pray for your mother, pray for your sister. Pray for all members of your family, son."

Honest To God, I Really Could Care Less That He's Black
But if it gets peoples attention...

Remember gang, no Jimmy Carter... no Ronald Reagan. We're going to have to go through intense heat these next 2-4 years (don't forget the congressional elections in 2010) before the Republican Party gets rid of its impurities (ie: moderate "RepubliCrats).

Jindal, Keyes, Palin, Steele, Blackwell --- any combination thereof work for me.

Here's some of the article from LifeNews.com; (Emphasis mine)
Republicans Should Renew Core Pro-Life Abortion Views, Black GOPer Says

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- A leading black Republican says the GOP should renew its core pro-life views against abortion even though some detractors say the party should move to the left following the presidential election defeat. Ken Blackwell, the former Ohio Secretary of State, says the GOP has been successful as a pro-life party.

"After two disastrous election cycles, it is clear the Republican Party must refocus again," Blackwell writes in a TownHall editorial. "A reenergized GOP must make Republican principles appealing both to its base and also to the changing face of America."

Blackwell says the small faction of pro-abortion Republicans, egged on by the mainstream media, "are blaming the party for moving too far to the right, losing moderate and independent voters to the Democrats." "These people say social issues such as ... abortion should be replaced by economic issues," he writes.

Doing so, Blackwell writes, would put the Republican Party outside the mainstream of American voters who, as polls show, generally take a pro-life view and support most limits on abortion.

Blackwell says Republicans can persuade minorities and women to support its pro-life principles, but need to be more aggressive in courting their vote.

"Republicans must excite, energize and mobilize their base, while reuniting old coalitions and forming new ones. They must provide bold and innovative leadership to recapture that sense of optimism and opportunity," Blackwell concluded.
A Republican leader has to remind Republicans that we are the Pro-Life party. Pretty pathetic. But then again, it's also pretty pathetic that a Catholic bishop should have to remind his fellow bishops that there are certain things that we may have to lay down out lives for... like defending innocent babies.

The Shocking First Annual VSC Thanksgiving Run-Down
Is you is, or is you ain't my turkey?

Thankful for - The Sacrifice of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ makes my quest for salvation even possible.

Not thankful for - That I hafta deal with so many dip-shits on the way. I know I gotta love 'em Lord, but do I gotta like 'em?

Thankful for - That my wonderful wife always goes 110% during the Holidays. All the standard Holiday fare to be served up, plus the decorative theme both inside and outside the house signifying the particular holiday at hand.

Not thankful for - She's quickly becoming "that crazy lady down the street with all the decorations". Well, at least she doesn't leave the Christmas lights out all year. Oh, and that she whips up enough chow to feed the 2d Marine Division.

Thankful for - Dawn Wells helping me make it through puberty.

Not thankful for - Congressentity Bella Abzug scaring the hell outta me during the same time frame.

The Dope Smuggler Will Have A Happy Thanksgiving
... but the sacrificial lambs won't

If you haven't heard yet, Bush pardoned the following less-than-stellar individual; John Edward Forte, a Grammy Award-winning rapper, is arguably the best known of those pardoned. He was arrested at Newark International Airport in 2000 after being found with a briefcase containing $1.4m of cocaine and was sentenced to 14 years in prison. But the two border Patrol agents who had the bad manners to actually shoot a drug smuggler are still in prison.

The Australians had Breaker Morant... we have Compean and Ramos.

E Pluribus Screw'Em
"... one or two bishops started clapping, but then we moved on immediately"
Helmet tip to Former Altar Boy

A few hundred years ago, Catholic bishops assured that a certain girl named Joan from the French village of Arc was put to death. Keep that in mind as you read this posting.

With that said, ya gotta love the castrated elephant that is the USCCB. 300+ members, and only a handful even publicly support Bishop Hermann. The stony silence he received was a damn sight louder than the applause from "one or two" fellow Apostolic Successors.

Possibly me being cynical makes me a bed person, but I just can't help be remember the throwing under the bus that Fr Newman was served up.

Here's some of the article from LifeNews.com; (Emphasis mine)
Catholic Bishop Says He Would Die Tomorrow if Abortions End as a Result

St. Louis, MO (LifeNews.com) -- While leaders of the Catholic Church met last week in Baltimore to discuss abortion and other important issues, most of the attention focused on their remarks concerning incoming president Barack Obama. But one bishop said he would give the ultimate sacrifice -- his own life -- if it meant ending abortion.

St. Louis, Missouri archdiocesan administrator Bishop Robert Hermann made the comment that is drawing worldwide acclaim.

"I think any bishop here would consider it a privilege to die tomorrow to bring about an end to abortion," he said at the meeting. "If we are willing to die tomorrow, then we should be willing to, until the end of our lives, to take all kinds of criticism for opposing this horrible infanticide," he added.

"The reaction was one or two bishops started clapping, but then we moved on immediately," Hermann said about the response he received. "I received numerous comments from other bishops, thanking me for making this courageous statement. I said any bishop there could have and probably would have made the same statement."
(That was a decent and nice thing to say, but we all know it's not true. Bishop Hermann is simply being a decent man.)

Hermann singled out Kansas City Archbishop Joseph Naumann and Bishop Robert Finn along with Denver Archbishop Charles Chaput as some of the "numerous" bishops who sought him out to thank him for what he said. (Bishop Hermann is gracious to a fault. But let's be honest... he's just named less than 1% of the USCCB. Where the hell's the rest of 'em?)

Asked about the thought process that led to the remark, Hermann said, "Very simply: If American youth are willing to go to war and lay their life down to defend our freedoms, then every bishop should be willing to give up his life, if it meant putting an end to abortion." (Give up their own lives? Fat chance. Most won't even speak against it.)

"And if we're willing to do that, then we should be totally fearless of promoting this cause without being concerned about political correctness, without trying to build coalitions with pro-choice people," he added. (Thank God. And may God bless His Excellency, Bishop Hermann.)
And for those interested in shooting His Excellency a note of support, here's his e-mail address - rhermann@archstl.org

Russell Kirk (1918-1994)

Thanks to a good friend I have recently been exposed to the writings of a very profound, yet not very well known, Catholic thinker. To anyone who cares, I highly recommend "The Politics of Prudence." This book is essentially a collection of essays written by Russell Kirk and was published in the '90's by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (which incidentally is most likely one of the last vestiges of true academic learning in the United States today). This book is an excellent starting point for anyone who is interested in understanding the political and cultural world around them and is a great example of what constitutes true conservativism. Russell Kirk's references to other written works alone is reason enough to read this book. The numerous references to great Western writers provides the reader with a mini-anthology of every thinking person's must reads. The book is very easy to read and it does an excellent job of explaining in simple and easy to understand terms the dangers of modern western ideologies such as modern liberalism, neo-conservatism, and libertarianism. A copy of the book is available for purchase here:
http://www.amazon.com/Politics-Prudence-Russell-Kirk/dp/1882926013.

Now putting the above introduction aside for a moment, I just now came accross an excellent article written by Russell Kirk in 1958 entitled "Cultural Debris: A Mordant Last Word." A copy of the article can be found here: http://www.mmisi.org/ir/30_01/kirk.pdf.

Given the times in which we live, I thought this article was particularly relevant, and given that it was written in the '50's, one would have to say amazingly prescient as well. Note how Kirk identifies "three great bodies of principle and conviction" which are essential to a good society and which were essential to bringing about the rise of the Western tradition. And note further how these three great bodies have all but been destroyed over the course of the last forty years and how whatever remnant presently remains is going to face an all out assault by this Obama administration in the coming years.
Russell Kirk wrote:
"[I]t seems to me that there are three great bodies of principle and conviction uniting what is called modern civilization. The first of these is the Christian faith: theological and moral doctrines which inform us, either side of the Atlantic, of the nature of God and man, the fatherhood of God, the brotherhood of man, human dignity, the rights and duties of human persons, the nature of charity, and the meaning of hope and resignation. The second of these is the corpus of imaginative literature, humane letters, which is the essence of our high culture: humanism, which, with Christian faith, teaches us our powers and our limitations -- the work of Plato, Vergil, Cicero, Dante, Shakespeare, and so many others. The third is a complex of social and political institutions which we may call the reign of law, or ordered liberty: prescription, precedent, impartial justice, private rights, private property, the character of genuine community, the claims of the family and of voluntary association. However much these three bodies of conviction have been injured by internecine disputes, nihilism, Benthamism, the cult of Rationalism, Marxism, and other modern afflictions, they remain the rocks upon which our civilization is built."
The beauty and truth of the above quote is in my opinion indisputable. The above statement is a fact of life and the general collapse and decay of our modern society is just more evidence that this age old belief, summarized so succinctly by Mr. Kirk, is as true today as it was when St. Thomas wrote his Summa. The atheists have destroyed America's Christian foundation, the educators have destroyed our "corpus of imaginative literature," and the Marxists have destroyed our social and political institutions. As a result our country no longer has a God, our people are ignorant fools, and our government is broken. America at the current rate will cease to exist in its current form in fifty years.
So what do we do? I would suggest that we all just work hard on doing whatever we can in our daily lives to rebuild the three pillars of society. For me I guess that means being the very best Catholic father, husband and parishioner I can be, work hard to educate myself and my children in the classical western tradition, and lastly, not lose hope at the current state of America's politics and continue to insist that our politicians bring things back to a local level in line with the Church's teachings on the notion of "subsidiarity."

Weapon Of Ass Destruction?
I thought that's what homosexuality was

The kid shoulda laid off the cafeteria chili. Hard time in the County slam for 1st Degree Flatulence? Carefully read how this was reported and handled. Sheesh... you'd think this kid was selling heroin.

From Stuart News (Palm Beach, Florida); (Emphasis mine) Student arrested for 'passing gas' at Fla. school

Monday, November 24, 2008
STUART, Fla. - A student at a Florida school has been arrested after authorities said he was "passing gas" and turning off his classmates' computers. According to a report released Friday by the Martin County Sheriff's Office, the 13-year-old boy "continually disrupted his classroom environment" by intentionally breaking wind. He then shut off some computers other students were using.

The Spectrum Junior-Senior High School was arrested Nov. 4.

A school resource officer placed the boy under arrest after he confessed about his behavior, according to the report. He was charged with disruption of school function and released to his mother.
And in keeping with President-elect Obamessiah's expanding of Hate Crime laws, there are unconfirmed reports that lil' Johnny Fartknocker is also under investigation for sporting skid marks on his skivvs, boogies in his nose, possessing an unlicensed finger while being an active participant in a non-school sanctioned game of Cops & Robbers, and accusing various pre-pubescent Gyno-American classmates of "having cooties"

It's also rumored that the State of Florida is seeking the death penalty. But not until Mr. Fartknocker completes a Cootie Awareness seminar.

You mean, Marines aren't the Incompetent, Racist, Homophobes That "Generation Kill" Makes Them Out to Be?

from Military.com:
Marine Makes Insurgents Pay the Price

November 18, 2008Marine Corps News
by Cpl. James M. Mercure

FARAH PROVINCE, Afghanistan — In the city of Shewan, approximately 250 insurgents ambushed 30 Marines and paid a heavy price for it.

Shewan has historically been a safe haven for insurgents, who used to plan and stage attacks against Coalition Forces in the Bala Baluk district.

The city is home to several major insurgent leaders. Reports indicate that more than 250 full time fighters reside in the city and in the surrounding villages.

Shewan had been a thorn in the side of Task Force 2d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Afghanistan throughout the Marines’ deployment here in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, because it controls an important supply route into the Bala Baluk district. Opening the route was key to continuing combat operations in the area.

“The day started out with a 10-kilometer patrol with elements mounted and dismounted, so by the time we got to Shewan, we were pretty beat,” said a designated marksman who requested to remain unidentified. “Our vehicles came under a barrage of enemy RPGs (rocket propelled grenades) and machine gun fire. One of our ‘humvees’ was disabled from RPG fire, and the Marines inside dismounted and laid down suppression fire so they could evacuate a Marine who was knocked unconscious from the blast.”

The vicious attack that left the humvee destroyed and several of the Marines pinned down in the kill zone sparked an intense eight-hour battle as the platoon desperately fought to recover their comrades. After recovering the Marines trapped in the kill zone, another platoon sergeant personally led numerous attacks on enemy fortified positions while the platoon fought house to house and trench to trench in order to clear through the enemy ambush site.

“The biggest thing to take from that day is what Marines can accomplish when they’re given the opportunity to fight,” the sniper said. “A small group of Marines met a numerically superior force and embarrassed them in their own backyard. The insurgents told the townspeople that they were stronger than the Americans, and that day we showed them they were wrong.”

During the battle, the designated marksman single handedly thwarted a company-sized enemy RPG and machinegun ambush by reportedly killing 20 enemy fighters with his devastatingly accurate precision fire. He selflessly exposed himself time and again to intense enemy fire during a critical point in the eight-hour battle for Shewan in order to kill any enemy combatants who attempted to engage or maneuver on the Marines in the kill zone. What made his actions even more impressive was the fact that he didn’t miss any shots, despite the enemies’ rounds impacting within a foot of his fighting position.

“I was in my own little world,” the young corporal said. “I wasn’t even aware of a lot of the rounds impacting near my position, because I was concentrating so hard on making sure my rounds were on target.”

After calling for close-air support, the small group of Marines pushed forward and broke the enemies’ spirit as many of them dropped their weapons and fled the battlefield. At the end of the battle, the Marines had reduced an enemy stronghold, killed more than 50 insurgents and wounded several more.

“I didn’t realize how many bad guys there were until we had broken through the enemies’ lines and forced them to retreat. It was roughly 250 insurgents against 30 of us,” the corporal said. “It was a good day for the Marine Corps. We killed a lot of bad guys, and none of our guys were seriously injured.”

Just 250 to 30? Boy, you Jarheads like a stacked deck don't you?

Hoo-rah fella's. As always, you have this ex-squids admiration and gratitude!

The Shape Of Things To Come
Couldn't he just stick with being a moslem?

Gee, why am I not shocked over this? Get ready, America... this is what you asked for.

Here's some from LifeSiteNews.com;(Emphasis mine) Barack Obama Consulted Repeatedly with Homosexual Anglican Bishop

LONDON, November 24, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - During his presidential campaign Barack Obama consulted repeatedly with Gene Robinson, a practicing homosexual whose appointment as an Anglican bishop has divided the worldwide Anglican Communion. (I don't think he has to practice anymore. I'd be willing to bet he's got it down pat. And I'll bet Pat's his boyfriend.)

According to an interview published by the Times Online, a division of London's Times newspaper, Obama's campaign actively sought out Robinson, and Obama met on three separate occasions with the controversial bishop. (And just think -- he hasn't even been sworn in yet! God save us.)

Robinson told the Times that Obama compared his own groundbreaking candidacy as the first black nominee of a major political party to Robinson's appointment as the first Anglican bishop who lives openly with his same-sex lover. (Hmmm.... being born a certain race is the same as performing deviant sexual acts? Interesting. All you Bloglodytes who are of African anscestry, how exactly do you feel about that?)

Robinson also told the Times that Obama assured him of "his broad and deep support for the full civil rights for gay and lesbian people" and said that Obama agrees with him that religious values should not be "imposed" on the government. (You don't have to be a Nostradumbass to figure that statement out. I guess those "religious values" like Thou Shalt Not Murder and Thou Shalt Not Steal have no place in America's legal system.)

As a result of Robinson’s appointment as the Anglican Bishop of New Hampshire in 2003 as well as other changes in Anglican teaching and practice, large sections of the Anglican communion in Africa, Asia, and North America have threatened to break away from the global Anglican Communion. (Swim the Tiber. The water's fine.)

It is All About Mommy & Daddy
Who is really killing marriage in this country

Many of us no doubt are concerned about the effects that same-sex marriages will have on society, and rightly so. However we have not done a very good job in the opposite-sex marriage arena to display much concern for the institution either.

Mommy and Daddy have been busy little beavers. Carving up the countryside battling the world for their careers and desires. Leaving their most precious gifts to some stranger in a room full of other "inconvenient" mistakes.
I am the product of a broken home. My father and mother could not stand each other by the time I was eleven they were split up. Most of this was due to my Mom's incurable need to spend every bit of money my Dad made and my Dad's inability to remain true to his vows on the road as a salesman.

This is the iconic picture of marriage today. I am a father now and have two boys one in college and one approaching high school. Both have been very involved in Church and Sports most of their young lives. I could not bear to miss being a part of that. I remember playing soccer for 13 years growing up and my Dad was at one game in all that time. Now was he providing for the family, yes he was! Did he need to be on the road all the time to do it, no he did not. For him being on the road was a way to deal with no wanting to be at home.

In my case both of my parents chose themselves over us kids. It was a very negative result as all of us were scarred heavily by the turmoil. I remember being jealous as a kid of my friend who's Dad had died, because at least he had a reason for his Dad not being around. My older brother was in and out of prison multiple times and he still is not stable today. He has been married and has one son who is headed for trouble as well. No one knows where my younger sister is and what she is up to, she was and has been in trouble all the time and has been to prison at least once that we know about.

It is tragic to hear the prevailing thought on a troubled home these days. Everyone is certain that it is much better for parents to split up rather than see their parents fight all the time. On this point I totally disagree. See this attitude is a cop out. It is the same as telling a teenager that you can't stop them from drinking alcohol or smoking pot, so you rather them do it in your presence so they are not out getting in trouble. Be serious, as soon as you tell a person they can't control their behavior they have been given a license to be a screw up. Parents are no different.

Why must it be so easy to get a divorce? Why do parents have to be so damn selfish? If you are a person who has gone through a divorce (unless severe mental or physical abuse was involved) you are a quitter! Sorry if you spent oodles of dollars in counselling trying to stop blaming yourself....you wasted that money because you are at fault!
I think there is room for the Catholic Church to make a difference. We need Priests and Bishops to make it much harder to get married in the Church, and MUCH HARDER to obtain annulments. Again we would be treading in areas that would cause some of the "faithful" to pack their bags, but how else can we get the public to respect marriage if we don't show it enough respect ourselves.

We all know that we are in for battles in the near future, make a concerted effort to help people you know that are having marriage problems save their marriage. When you catch your friends at work doing crap that disrespects their marriage call them on the carpet! We must make it a point to foster the institution that will bear the gifts of more Priests, future families, and future Saints. Without turning around marriage in the opposite-sex world we have no moral terra firma to counter same-sex marriage.

"In Caritate Non Ficta"
A blog well worth the visit

In all sincerity, I wish I had the courage of this man. Here's the header to his blog; On October 15, 2008, after two years as an officer in the Navy, my life changed when I was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor. Putting my concerns in the hands of the Blessed Virgin Mary and my trust in Our Lord Jesus Christ, I pray that I may be faithful to the Holy Catholic Faith and serve the Church for the rest of my life.

Round Up The Catholic Priests!!
Well, the one's who have the 'nads to actually defend Catholicism

I've posted in the past about the upcoming mass arrests of Catholic clerics who have the stones to preach against minor oversights in judgment like slaughtering unborn children in the womb, and active homosexuality.

Sure enough, we already have a bishop under investigation from the IRS because he had the bad manners to question The Obamessiah. That's old news.

What's even older are the reports of foreign nations going after those who violate "hate speech" laws against homosexuals. Such as a Swedish Protestant preacher who had to fight all the way to the Swedish Supreme Court to keep from going to jail. His crime? Stating in a sermon that homosexuality was "a deep cancerous tumor on all of society".

Well gang... get ready for all that, but on a much grander scale under The Obamessiah. Here's some of the article from the Catholic News Agency;(Emphasis mine) Obama administration reveals plans to advance gay agenda

Washington DC, Nov 23, 2008 / 07:48 pm (CNA).- Citing what they call America’s “promise of equality,” the Obama administration plans to push for homosexual rights by including protections of sexual orientation, “gender identity” and “gender expression” as civil rights. His office proposes expanding hate crimes statues and the adoption rights of homosexuals while supporting full civil unions for “LGBT couples” to give them “legal rights and privileges equal to those of married couples.”

The proposals are announced under the Civil Rights section of their agenda presented at Change.gov, the web site of the Obama campaign’s self-described “Office of the President-elect.”
Our priests going to jail for preaching The Holy Bible. It's not as far away as you think.

But fret not.... most "Catholic priests" have absolutely nothing to worry about. You can easily identify them. They're the ones that have their parish parking lots filled with cars with Obama '08 bumper stickers all over 'em.

Their silence in the face of evil may protect them in this world......

Have A Happy WHAT!!??
You had me at period

WARNING!! Harsh language alert!!

As the House Sergeant Major and I were watching TV the other night, I sat in shock and disbelief at a commercial that was on. I listened in stunned (and fascinated) silence to some hot chick extolling the virtues of Always Infinity brand feminine hygiene pads, or sheets, or sanitary napkins... or whatever the hell they're called, all I know is this -- they've got wings! And that impressed the livin' shit outta me.

But no. Convincing me that Always Infinity will make me run faster, jump higher, menstruate more efficiently, have change I can believe in, you name it.... well, that just wasn't enough.

Hell, I'm sold already! I'm grabbing my car keys and headed to Wal-Mart as we speak.

But no, it didn't end there. The hot chick extolling the virtues of Always Infinity also enlightened me with the knowledge that this particular skivvie dwelling panacea is now made with an über-absorbent material called Infinicel.

Wow. She actually used the word "über". Possibly because my good Bavarian family name (before it was Anglicized) is actually Weithmann, ANYTHING with "über" in it, just makes me wanna start to goosesteppin' through neighboring European nations.

Übermensch, Über Alles, Über Absorbent --- I'm so there.

OK, OK, I'm ready to buy stock in Always Infinity already. Enough! But no. The hot chick gives me the epiphanous moment of my life. Did you know that it's possible to "have a happy period"?

It's true.

She told me.

And I just KNEW IT!!!!! Damn it, I've been listening to women bitch and moan my whole life! "Ewwww, I'm having my period!" "Ahhh, I'm going through menopause!" "Whaaaa, Childbirth hurts!"

I KNEW it was all bullshit! Chicks really do have a happy period! The good folks at Proctor & Gamble (The makers of Always Infinity) told me so! And they wouldn't lie, would they?

Ya know, I've always known that us dudes had it tougher. Hey gals, you wanna bitch about "the pain" of childbirthin'? Try getting you junk caught in your zipper. When you accidentally zip up your beans and franks in the devils braces, then come talk to me about pain. Especially if the beans are above the franks.

But anyhow, I'm somewhat sad. After watching that commercial, I feel cheated that I can't have a period. I was kind of looking forward to it.

Satan: 'That's right! Thursday is drug day. Help yourself to a great big bowl of crack or smack. Smoke a doobie the size of a submarine. You can do all the drugs you want. You're dead so who cares.'

Guy: 'Wow! I never realized Hell was such a cool place!'

Satan: 'You gay?'

Guy: 'No...'

The Old is New Again (and Hope Wains)
How Obama has turned Hope for Change into the Same Ol' Same Ol'

It is totally Hillarious (pun intended) that Barrack (Change) Obama is tapping so many Leftovers (again pun intended) that have been hanging around Washington for decades. I can almost hear all of the ultra wackos dropping their signs and pitchforks in disbelief.

They are to his campaign what conservatives are to the Republican Party. People who are to be promised the world yet given nothing in return for a vote.

Here is a list of all of the selected and soon to be selected movers and shakers of the Obama administration. Remember he mentioned that we needed new blood, attacked Hilliary Clinton as the old guard of the politics of hate. That Washington needed a NEW approach. Now the emphasis seems to be on experience and getting people who know how to make the machine work. Note this quote from an article by Carolyn Lochhead in the Chronicle Washington Bureau,

"At some point you have to have folks who can translate presidential policies and rhetoric into an actionable agenda and get something done," said Jonathan Breul, executive director of the IBM Center for the Business of Government, a think tank on government management. "You want people who are experienced running big organizations."

Really, well that is a fine how-do-you-do to all those who voted for change. OK so I will get to the list, these are all selected and being considered for positions:

President: Barack Obama
Vice President: Joe Biden
State: Bill Richardson, Richard Lugar, Greg Craig, John Kerry, Sam Nunn
Treasury: Sheila Bair, Timothy Geithner, Eugene Ludwig, Laura Tyson
Defense: Chuck Hagel, Robert Gates, Jack Reed, Richard Danzig
Attorney General: Janet Napolitano, Eric Holder, Hillary Clinton, Artur Davis
Homeland Security: Lee Hamilton, Tony Lake, Richard Clarke, Tim Roemer
National Security: Anthony Zinni, Greg Craig, Samantha Power, Susan Rice
Agriculture: Tom Vilsack, Colin Peterson, Tom Daschle, Jim Leach
Commerce: Kathleen Sebelius, Ed Rendell, Penny Pritzker, Olympia Snowe
Education: George Miller, Tim Kaine, Linda Darling-Hammond, Joel Klein
Energy: Brian Schweitzer, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jeff Bingaman
HHS:Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, Julie Gerberding, John Kitzhaber
HUD: Shaun Donovan, Shirley Franklin, Jesse Jackson, Jr., David Gottfried
Interior: Lincoln Chafee, Christine Gregoire, Brian Schweitzer, RFK Jr.
Labor: David Bonior, Dick Gephardt, Dan Tarullo, Linda Chavez-Thompson
Transportation: James Oberstar, Ed Rendell, Earl Blumenauer, R.T. Rybak
VA: Chet Edwards, Max Cleland, Patrick Murphy, Tammy Duckworth
UN Secretary: Susan Rice, Caroline Kennedy, Lee Hamilton
EPA: Kathleen McGinty, Ed Markey, Mary Nichols, Lincoln Chafee
Council of Economic Advisers: Austan Goolsbee, David Cutler
Chief of Staff: Tom Daschle, Greg Craig, David Plouffe
Supreme Court nominee (when available): Cass Sunstein, Hillary Clinton

(Source for the list is from an article, "President Obama's Cabinet (Version 3.0)" by Mark
Nickolas, Managing Editor of Political Base)

So do recognize any of the names? Of course you do 95% of them are Washington insiders, all Big Government all the way. Do you now see why voting for either Government Party gets you nothing but the same old thing.

Now THIS MAN Is A PRIEST!!
Could you imagine even one per deanery?
Helmet tip to PreVat2

As many faithful Bloglodytes already know, I purposfully try (but sometimes fail) to keep my postings as short as possible. This post is the exception.

Father Euteneuer of Human Life International may not know it, but he's an honorary Catholic Caveman.

Read this post, and you'll honestly wish to God that every priest in the Catholic Church had the integrity and courage that this man has. Could you even imagine the state of The Church if even 1/10th of our priests were even remotely like him? (No emphasis on my part needed.)
Election Part II-Catholic Culture and the Election of Barack Obama

It is impossible to speak of a “Catholic culture” in America any longer. A whole segment of the populace who call themselves “Catholics” do not feel bound by any standard of Catholic orthodoxy or sanity. In fact, it is impossible to even speak of a Catholic culture in most parishes! At a recent “ministry faire” of a large Catholic parish in south Florida, the Respect Life ministry of the parish displayed its pro-life materials next to the table of the “social justice” committee of the same parish. Any commonality between the two ministries was simply in the space they shared. Their worldviews could not have been further apart, but they both call themselves Catholic.

In fact, the “social justice” people were positively aglow about the election of their new messiah, Barack Obama. Several of them were speaking of their plans to attend the Inauguration and were utterly unaware that there would be 100,000 people marching on the nation’s Capitol two days later for the right to life of unborn Americans which they had just voted into irrelevancy by electing Obama to the highest office of the land. One of them even expressed shock at the provisions of the upcoming Freedom of Choice Act until he was confronted with the nasty little fact that his messiah had been a sponsor of that pernicious bill in the last Congress. True to form, he steadfastly refused to allow that truth to have any effect on his euphoria. His mind was made up, and he would not let himself be confused by facts. Needless to say, the orthodox, practicing, believing Catholic pro-lifers will not be attending the Inauguration.

How can these two groups sit side-by-side in the same pews and display their ministries in the same space at the same Catholic parish? Simply because this contradiction has been tolerated for years by those in charge of our Church. In this election season neither of these two groups received any guidance about voting according to Catholic principles because, as per usual, there was silence from the pulpit on the issue. The absolute failure of our church leaders to define for us what membership in the Church means—and then to enforce it—has led to the degradation of Catholic culture and the loss of meaning for things that are sacred. When Christ and Belial are considered equal partners in the sanctuary, then nothing in the sanctuary means anything any more and no meaningful standard exists to distinguish a true Catholic from a false Catholic.

The degradation of Catholic culture is largely, but not exclusively, the fault of the clergy. For four decades in the Catholic Church in America we have seen:

    1. Liturgical abuses run rampant, aided and abetted by those in charge
    2. Two or three generations of Catholics left un-catechized or taught with flimsy, Protestantized fluff passed off as Catholic education
    3. Sexual abuse by clergy excused and unaddressed by the hierarchy
    4. A blind eye turned to high profile dissent and political class heretics
    5. Wholesale attacks on sacred teachings that receive virtually no response from our pastors (and if it weren’t for Catholic Answers, EWTN and the Catholic League we would have no defense whatsoever)
    6. The succumbing of our Catholic institutions of higher education to the ravages of political correctness, and the list goes on. In the face of all this, should we be surprised that 54% of “Catholics” voted for Barack? Hardly.

The battle for Catholic culture begins with us, and there is no time like the present to don the armor of spiritual warfare. We either believe and practice what the Church teaches or we live as part of the shadow church, falsely trading on the Name Catholic for its benefits without at the same time shouldering the crosses that this entails.

There is, however, great hope for the future because the battle has already been engaged: new Catholic colleges are springing up to replace the old decrepit houses of heresy, new religious orders with abundant vocations and orthodoxy have arisen, home schooling families and strong lay movements are abundant now. Only when we take back our beloved Church from the false Catholics and clerics will our Church be able to stand up and rebuke the storm winds of paganism that are building faster than we care to admit. This project is not without its price, however. The cost of being a true believer will undoubtedly be much higher than ever before in our lifetime. Starting now and into the next generation we as Catholics will have to show the world not only what we believe but that we are willing to lay down our lives for it as a witness to the truth.

    Sincerely Yours in Christ,

    Rev. Thomas J. Euteneuer,
    President, Human Life International

Pope May Make "New" Mass More Solemn
Sign of Peace to be moved

A top Vatican official says Pope Benedict XVI is considering introducing a change to the "New Order," i.e. the plain’ ol’ Ordinary Form, Mass liturgy.

Cardinal Francis Arinze, who heads the Vatican office for sacraments, says the Pope may move the placement of the sign of peace, where congregants shake hands or hug (or kiss, or walk around and crawl across pews, to talk and giggle).

Arinze told the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano in a recent interview that the Pope has asked bishops to express their opinions and will then decide.

Under the change, the sign of peace, which now takes place moments before Communion, would come earlier. Arinze said the change might help create a more solemn atmosphere as the faithful are preparing to receive the Body and Blood of their Lord and Savior.

Gee, You Eminence, What Were Your First Clues?
They've been staring you in the face for decades

LifeSiteNews.com; (Emphasis mine)

Vatican Cardinal: "A New World Order is Gaining Ground"

By John-Henry Westen

ROME, November 20, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Speaking at the opening of the 23rd plenary assembly for the Pontifical Council for the Laity, the president of the Council, Cardinal Stanislaw Rylko, warned, "The idea of creating a 'new man' completely detached from the Judeo-Christian tradition, a new 'world order,' a new 'global ethic,' is gaining ground."

According to the Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano, the cardinal denounced the "dictatorship of relativism," rampant in Western societies, in which there is a growing "anti-Christian attitude" that makes "attacks on Christians, and particular on Catholics, pass off as politically correct." (And who are some of the biggest proponents of 'Political Correctness'? Are you familiar with the USCCB?)

Speaking of Christians today he said, "Our true problem is not being a minority, but rather having voluntarily become marginal, irrelevant, because of our lack of courage, so that we will be left alone, because of our mediocrity." "For Christians," Cardinal Rylko added, "the moment has arrived to free themselves from a false inferiority complex … to be valiant witnesses of Christ." (He just perfectly described the state of Catholicism in North America and Western Europe. And we allowed this to happen.)

This is, he said, the "hour of the laity," to take on their "responsibility in the diverse fields of public life, from politics to the promotion of life and family, from work to the economy, from education to the formation of youth." (The "hour of the laity" is exactly why we have so many idiots believing that they are now somehow members of the clergy. Minister of this... minister of that... I have a novel idea. How about priests being priests, instead of social workers with better finery?))

He warned, however, that such faithfulness would come at a personal cost. "Whoever wants to live and act according to the Gospel of Christ has to pay a price, even in the highly liberal societies of the West," he said.
(And many that have been faithful, have been thrown under the bus by our own courageous shepherds.)
But anyhow, the "New Order" has been around for quite some time.

Novus Ordo Seclorum (Latin for "New Order of the Ages") on our own money, and the Novus Ordo Missae (Latin for "New Order of the Mass) in our own Church.

Hmmm... What Do You Think The Chances Are That The Archbishop Of Than Franthisco Was Praying With Them?
Or was he busy raiding collection plates to scrape up bail money for the Fag On The Run?

Here's some of the article from World Ney Daily; (Emphasis mine)
Watch sparks fly as 'gay' activist mob swarms Christians
Residents of homosexual district: 'We're going to kill you. We know who you are'

Hundreds of homosexual activists rushed out of bars and swarmed a group of Christians who were singing songs in San Francisco's Castro District –
and some even threatened to kill the worshippers.

A group of Christians had been singing and praying in the "gay" district for several days, but they never expected an angry mob would run them out. However, that's what happened Friday night.

One woman who was attacked told her story with Pastor Lou Engle at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City. She said the group's fellowship had been peaceful for several nights before the riot.

"People would come stand with us and join us," she said. "We got to pray for some people." But then angry men began yelling profanities and warning the Christians to leave the district.

(Warning: Video may contain offensive language)

One asked, "Why are you here?" The leader of the group said, "We're here to worship God, and we're here because we love you."

A group of men approached the Christians and covered them with a large cloth, backing them into a corner. Then the angry mob began swearing and growing larger. The bars began emptying out, and a crowd completely surrounded the Christians.

The worship group began singing "Amazing Grace," while an estimated 500 "gay" advocates sang, "We Shall Overcome."

The woman said she and her friend were doused with hot coffee. One man took a Bible from her friend, hit her on the head with it, pushed her to the ground and began kicking her. People began lunging at the Christian group, blowing whistles in their ears.

"They started saying, 'We're going to kill you,'" she said. "They started taking our pictures and saying, 'We're going to kill you. We know who you are." Then she said a man jumped through the crowd and pushed her forehead.

Just then, a squad of police officers arrived in riot gear, surrounding the Christians and forming a protective human wall. She said the police told them, "You have to leave if you want to make it out." When the group continued praying, an officer came back and said, "You don't have a choice anymore. We're going to escort you out."

The officers then took the Christians to their cars. The angry mob began lunging at them through the riot gear and chanting "Shame on you!" Some yelled, "We are going to follow you all the way home!" Others called the Christians "hypocrites."

One man screamed into a camera, "We don't ever want them coming back. Do you understand that, other Christians? Do you understand that, other Mormons? I'm talking to you, people. Yeah, you. Stay out of our neighborhood if you don't like us. Leave us alone!"

Learn about the intimidating tactics and brilliant marketing techniques being used by "gay rights" activists – read David Kupelian's controversial blockbuster,
"The Marketing of Evil: How Radicals, Elitists, and Pseudo-Experts Sell Us Corruption Disguised as Freedom."

The woman said her group had merely organized a peaceful fellowship and wasn't there to condemn homosexuals. "We hadn't preached," she said. "We hadn't evangelized. We worshipped God in peace, and we were about to die for it."

"Their rights were respected," Joe Schmitz, an opponent of Prop. 8, told San Francisco's KTVU Channel 2. "They got a chance to go ahead and pray on the sidewalk, and I had the opportunity to express my freedom of speech, which is telling them to get out of my neighborhood."

The following day, approximately 20,000 people marched in San Francisco to protest passage of California's Proposition 8 protecting traditional marriage. Several thousand people conducted other protests around the nation in cities such as Manhattan, Chicago and Los Angeles. According to reports, many protesters feeling emboldened by the recent election chanted, "Yes we can!" – a slogan popularized by the Barack Obama campaign.

Tales From The Governor's Mansion
Who knew the Crypt Keeper was Catholic? You make the call

Ya think her parish priest will correct her? Hell no... she'll be made Parishoner of The Year. All that admonish the sinner Works of Mercy stuff is soooooo pre-Vatican II! Oh, and someone remind that bonehead that a Rosary isn't a fashion accessory.

Here's the entire article from The California Catholic Daily; (Emphasis mine) “I pick and choose”
California’s First Lady says she’s ‘a Cafeteria Catholic’

“I start every one of my days praying,” says Maria Shriver, wife of California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. “I go to church every week. I went to Catholic schools my entire life.” But, says Shriver, when it comes to Church teachings, “I pick and choose… I think I’m probably a ‘Cafeteria Catholic.’”

Shriver’s comments came during a lengthy interview on the Washington Post’s video blog ‘On Faith,’ taped during an Oct. 22 women’s conference at the Long Beach Convention Center. Shriver, wearing a rosary around her neck, was interviewed by Washington Post columnist Sally Quinn and co-host Jon Meacham of Newsweek. Portions of the interview were posted Nov. 17 on “wowOwow,” a web site that says it is “run and written by Lesley Stahl, Peggy Noonan, Liz Smith, Joni Evans, Mary Wells, Sheila Nevins, Joan Juliet Buck, Whoopi Goldberg, Julia Reed, Joan Ganz Cooney, Judith Martin, Candice Bergen, Lily Tomlin, Jane Wagner, and Marlo Thomas.”

Shriver and the governor are members of St. Monica’s parish in Santa Monica, and she told Quinn and Meacham during the interview, “My pastor (Msgr. Lloyd Torgerson) is a huge part of my life.” But her closeness to her pastor, her regular church attendance and her Catholic education don’t seem to have discouraged her from taking positions distinctly at odds with the magisterium. “I have a dispute with a lot of the Catholic Church,” said Shriver in the interview. “Even though I consider myself a Catholic in good standing, I disagree with a lot of the teachings of the Church.”

Shriver spelled out some of her disagreements: “I don’t believe that if someone’s divorced they shouldn’t get Communion; I don’t believe that people who are gay shouldn’t be accepted into the Church… I’m pro-choice, I believe women should have that right.” She also said “women should have a larger role in the Catholic Church.”

What she does like about Catholicism, said Shriver, are its teachings on “compassion” and “social justice.”

So, is this the Direction that my 5:30 Mass is Headed...???

I received this link last night before going to bed, that is why I am posting this in the middle of the afternoon, as I've had better nights sleep after late night viewings of The Exorcist and The Omen. Just trying to spare you all " 'da heeb-a-mee, jeeb-a-mee's" before hitting the rack.
http://www.gloria.tv/?video=pwxa9jff7gs5kldzpiu7

Nice huh?

Some random thoughts/observations:

~Since when have helium filled latex balloons become an adequate substitute for incense?

~How about that music for the Consecration? I mean, why stop there? Why not just get Angus Young up there doing his duck walk while jammin' out "Highway to Hell"?

~The young lady at 2:08 minutes in the video, she seems to be contemplating one of two things, the True Presence or, "...hmmmm, this would be great with some salsa".

~...and how about hearing "Shalom Aleichem" at a Catholic Mass? Can somebody give me an "Oy Vey" ?

~...were those Chasubles tye-die??? Where the heck did he get those? Yasgur's Farm???

This "Mass" was held in Vienna Austria, presided over by Christoph Cardinal Schoenborn their Archbishop. I guess his taste in music parallels his taste in art.

http://cathcon.blogspot.com/2008/08/archdiocese-of-vienna-gives-home-grown.html

I'm not joking about my 5:30 Mass either.

We have the lousy combo of a weak pastor and an overzealous American Idol wannabe who'd soil his shorts at an opportunity to partake in this sort of performance. Nothing like and enabler meeting up with someone with an agenda.

This is the sort of thing that drives a Church underground...

...last one topside, turn the lights off...

Saint Michael the Archangel,
PRAY FOR US!!!!

Remember, It Was Catholic Bishops Who Tried, Condemned, And Ensured The Execution Of Saint Joan Of Arc
The Hierarchy continues to kowtow to lawbreakers

Here's some of the article from the Houston Chronicle; (Emphasis mine) "There are 200 million migrants," Cardinal Daniel DiNardo of the Catholic Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston told those gathered for The Metropolitan Organization's Clergy Summit: Welcoming the Stranger and Immigration Reform. "War, famine, economic collapse drive them, and it's unstoppable. In our own country, 12 million undocumented people work and live in the shadows."

Borrowing language from a 2002 Catholic Conference of Bishops policy statement, DiNardo called for legalization of undocumented workers already in the country.

"Without some form of broad-based legalization," DiNardo said, "the problems will just fester and fester."
Then we have some of this article from the AP: (Emphasis mine) Report: Illegal immigrants freed from Texas jail

HOUSTON (AP) — Federal immigration officials let thousands of inmates in the nation's third-most populous county walk out of jail despite the suspects admitting they were in the U.S. illegally, a newspaper investigation found.

More than 3,500 inmates told Harris County jailers they were in the country illegally over an eight-month period starting in June 2007, but records show Immigration and Customs Enforcement filed paperwork to detain only about a quarter of them.

In a story published Sunday, The Houston Chronicle found that most illegal immigrants released from jail were accused of minor crimes. But others included convicted child molesters, rapists and those ordered to be deported decades ago.
Pew based pandering at it's best. I guess cutting a few thousand jail birds loose on society doesn't qualify as festering.
