Jesus Christ, His Church, And His Successor Be Damned
And Archbishop Lefevbre was "excommunicated" for what, again?
Is this the Springtime of the Church that I've been hearing so much about?
Here's the entire article from The Daily Mail (London, UK); (Emphasis mine)Be careful not to offend gay worshippers, Catholic priests warned
Roman Catholic priests have been banned from using 'heterosexist' language in their churches in case they offend gay worshippers. They have been told by their bishops not to assume that every churchgoer is a heterosexual and to reflect this 'in language and conversation'. 'Remember that homophobic jokes and asides can be cruel and hurtful - a careless word can mean another experience of rejection and pain,' say the bishops in a leaflet advising priests and worshippers how to be more welcoming to gay people.
Activists say any moves by the Catholic Church to be more tolerant of homosexuality are undermined by Pope Benedict XVI's opposition to gay marriage. Priests are also encouraged to put up posters advertising 'support services' for homosexuals, a move bound to infuriate many Catholics who believe gay sexual activity to be sinful. The advice was welcomed by gay rights campaigner Peter Tatchell as a 'positive initiative which will bring great comfort to gay Catholics and their families'.
He said: 'Its sympathetic, understanding message is a big improvement on the past homophobia of some Catholic pronouncements on homosexuality.'
However, he said the 'laudable change of tone' was undermined by the 'homophobic content of the Catholic Catechism' and by Pope Benedict XVI's opposition to gay marriage. The advice was criticised by Lynette Burrows, a Catholic commentator, as 'pitiful'. She said it was ridiculous that Church leaders appeared to be 'grovelling' to a secular agenda.
'It is things like this that are enfeebling the Church at the moment - the concentration on things that don't matter and missing the things that do,' she said. 'What is pitiful as well as demeaning is that the Church is running after homosexual opinion but nothing is going to make homosexuals like the Catholic Church.
'This is because the Catholic Church teaches that homosexuality is a disorder and whatever the bishops say will not change that.' Well, Lynette, when you have a bunch of faggots and faggot enablers running the Church in England and Wales... what do you expect?

From the gang over there, about what I read in this article. They are the modern day equivalent of the followers of Arius & other heritics from the past. They are the "tares" among the wheat. Do I have to go on?
I didn't think so.
What bugs me about this article is that the warning give credence that unless otherwise said by the Bishops that the activity they warned against would still go on.
I know I don't live in the UK, but I know I have never gone to Mass and heard a joke about gays either from the pulpit or the congregation. I have never heard anything other than Church teachings. That just doesn't happen, but thanks to their idiot Bishops now everyone supportive of the homosexual cause thinks it does.
Home many more times must the Catholic Church be used by their enemy to further their agenda before the Holy See straightens a few necks out!
Look, I understand that that "orientation" is disordered and not in and of itself sinful. It's the acts that are sinful. Still, priests have a duty to say "sodomy is evil, so don't do it, live a chaste life, keep the commandments, go to Mass and Confession regularly, and don't have impure thoughts. Thinking about cock or fanny? Then pray a rosary!". What's so hard about that?
But England and Wales is sruffed - heretical, modernist, protestantized and more interested than kissing sucking up to Mohammedans and Prots than the truth. They need a new Queen Mary I to burn a few people "pour encourager les autres".
I know how fustrating it is. & hopefully Rome will drop the ax soon.
But, this is more proof of the more things change, the more they stay the same.
Knowing the history of the Church, I can keep it in perspective, realizing that this problem has been there from the early days (Ananias & Saphira) to Arius to the current group.
That doesn't make it any easier to see Christ's bride treated this way by those who are suppose to uphold her teachings.
But, as I pointed out, the day will come when the final harvest takes [place, the tares will be gathered & put into the winepress of God'w wrath. Meanwhile, we need to keep being like John the Baptist, a voice in the wilderness crying out, praying for the Church & proclaiming the truth.
"Roman Catholic priests have been banned from using 'heterosexist' language in their churches..."
you notice that the DailyMail article does not quote or provide a source? did they make up the whole thing, or is this just extremely shoddy reporting?
my first impression is "BS!"
sounds like the Brits may have had a case of "All our Children."
Maybe the "good" bishops would approve having mini "Folsom Street parades", go strutting their stuff past their churches... why not, we don't want to offend or judge anyone.
Hey, the church speaks nothing from the pulpit about the evil outcome of divorce, abortion, fornication, contraception, so why would they speak about perversion of queers? How can they when they have so many inside their own?
Remember what Fulton Sheen said:
"Who is going to save our Church?
Not our bishops,
not our priests and religious.
It's up to you, the people.
You have the minds, the eyes, the
ears to save the Church.
Your mission is to see that your
priests act like priests,
your bishops like bishops and
your religious act like religious."
