Now If Someone Would Just Read This To The Papal Nuncio
It's time to tell the Emperor about his new clothes
One of the best articles I've read in a long time. The author, Charlotte Allen, had the backbone to point out the obvious. The stunningly obvious.
"Liberal Christianity Is Paying For It's Sins" is a must read. Below is the last paragraph. It'll give you an idea of the article as a whole.
So this is the liberal Christianity that was supposed to be the Christianity of the future: disarray, schism, rapidly falling numbers of adherents, a collapse of Christology and national meetings that rival those of the Modern Language Assn. for their potential for cheap laughs. And they keep telling the Catholic Church that it had better get with the liberal program — ordain women, bless gay unions and so forth — or die. Sure.

The following quote stood out to me:
"When a church doesn't take itself seriously, neither do its members."
This is the logical result of the rejection of God's Authority. It will not end until the Catholic Church -- including the traditional Catholic Faith, and not the neo-Protestant, happy-clappy bullsh!t put forth by the current mainstream hierarchy -- is restored to its former glory.
