The Church of England is considering rejecting England's patron saint St George on the grounds that his image is too warlike and may offend Muslims.
None of that, now. Mustn't go about offending muslims. Oh please Mr. Muslim... please don't hurt me.
Hey, you know what offends me? Muslims carving peoples heads off. Hey, you know what offends me? Muslims planting bombs on London buses. Hey, you know what offends me? Muslims flying hijacked airplanes into the World Trade Center.
Personally, I'm thrilled to pieces over the suggestion of the Church of England's Archbishop of York when he said that the best way to fight terrorists is to "build an inclusive circle of love". Awww.... idn't dat thweet?
Hmmm, if the English throw kisses, will the muslims cease from throwing bombs? Hey Archbishop of York dude... be careful not to make your circle-jerk of love too tight. If you do, that will simply make the muslims blast radius all the more effective.
Nice to see the ghost of Neville Chamberlain and Lord Haw-Haw is alive and well in the land of Cardinal Newman and GK Chesterton.

as if things aren't bad enoug right now, rejecting St. George's protection is not to unlike deciding the doors on your house don't need locks.
