Teen counselor sues employer after she’s suspended from work for inadvertently allowing youngsters to hear ‘Christian music’ during beach outing
The lawsuit states that, in the summer of 2006, the counselor took four teenage girls from the Orangewood Children's Home on an approved field trip to a 5K run and then to the beach. At the beach, the group encountered a "Surf Jam" taking place at the Huntington Beach pier. The group also overheard Christian music for about ten minutes while they were eating.
Following the beach outing, the counselor, an eighteen-year employee, was summoned to a disciplinary meeting focusing on the Christian music. Several months later, the same incident was brought up again and the counselor was slapped with a six-week suspension for "exposing children to unapproved religious activities."
"What happened to this counselor was insane and unjust,” said Brad Dacus, president of Pacific Justice Institute. “Allowing teenagers to overhear a few minutes of Christian music while at the beach should not result in a six-week suspension."

Maybe the music sucked?
It probably would have been fine to listen to some Gangsta' Rap talk about Ho's and Bi***s though. Whatever.
But it is only the early stages. We will look back fondly on these type of things one day when we have no freedom of any type left. BO is after the soul of America and nothing less.
I hope she takes them to the cleaners. This was an approved outing to a public place where people were exercising their free speech & free expression of religion rights. & she is punished for exposing the students to this.
It is totally absurd that she is even being punished in any way shape or form.
The gavone who suspended her is the 1 who should be suspended for even doing this to her. [Note: I have a few stronger Italiano words I could use for the supervisor, but I wouldn't want to make Cavey blush. ;) ]
I would suspect that those behind this are of the same ilk as the "freedom from Religion" gang who want to push religion into a closet while allowing all forms of immorality public display.
Speaking of which, I am sure exposing them to a gay pride parade would have gotten her a raise instead of a suspension.
This is just more proof that so-called tolerant liberals are the most intolerant & illiberal bunch out there.
