And Speaking Of Bishop Williamson
...And the rest of those horrible SSPX'ers
Helmet tip to PreVat2
Fascinating recent interview with the head of the SSPX, Bishop Bernard Fellay, by the famous German magazine, Der Spiegel. Most interesting are the very direct words from him regarding the massive damage done by Bishop Williamson. Here's some of it;SPIEGEL: Will he return to his full duties?
Fellay: That is impossible under the current circumstances. He has damaged us and hurt our reputation. We have very clearly distanced ourselves. He was not ordained as a bishop for his own personal purpose but for the common good of the church, to spread the revealed truth.
SPIEGEL: So why don't you exclude Williamson from the society?
Fellay: That will happen if he denies the Holocaust again. It is probably better for everyone if he stays quiet and stays in a corner somewhere. I want him to disappear from the public eye for a good while. I disagree with H.E. Bishop Fellay on whether Bp. Willaimson ever technically "denied" the Holocaust or not. But looking back and looking at the big picture, it's fairly obvious that Bp. Williamson just got his ears pinned back.
Bishop Fellay did the right thing.

Free speech is a hard thing to win back. we seem to see reluctance in disciplining Catholic bishops who with silence and outright dissent leads 56% of catholics to vote for Obama. I would love to see the same venom unleased on the bishops who help continue the holocaust that is at least 8 times worse in numbers if you believe the 6 million number for the Jews killed which was in error. 50 million babies killed dwarfs any number ever suggested.
If the bishops had not been silent as a group or produced a document prior to the election not designed to give aid and comfort to the democratic party, at least 10-15% Catholics might have been swayed to change their vote. 8% give you enough swing to send Obama home.
I believe that the USCCB should be disbanded for its support of abortion by their failure of what they have done and failed to do, for what they have said and failed to say.
