Squids Say The Darndest Things
...and other pearls of wisdom from a former Naval Officer now a seminarian in the larval stage
As heard this morning at the steps of my church -Seeing that Cardinal Mahony has publicly stated that Bishop Williamson "is not — and may never become — a member [of the Catholic Church]." Does that mean Mahony will start saying Pro Multis from now on?

It can only mean that Mahony does not know basic Catholic doctrine.
Viator,
To use 1 of my favorite lines: "That surprizes you HOW?????"
Actually, it may not be that he doesn't know it, rather that he has rejected it. & I think we can agree there is plenty of evidence for that.
The more I see of Mahony, the more I am convinced that unless he changes he will join a long list of illustrious Catholic Bishops & theologians like Judas, Arius, Pelagius, Nestorius. I think you get my point.
PS Sometimes I wonder what my Paisan Dante would have done with Mahony given the wide variety of levels he would qualify for. (& I don't mean of Paridiso or Purgatorio.)
LOL, Mahony, Latin? LOL!
Pray for the Pope, he has his hands full with this Bishop and others CINOs in post of leadership in the church
Ha! Good call. Wish I'd been there :)
haha!!
Has anybody checked Cardinal Mahony's health? I'm thinking that he may have reached the second stage of life, so to speak.
Williamson should have responded that while he has said some dumb things, the last place he would want to visit is a place led by a dissenting bishop that has so damaged the actual teachings of the Roman Catholic Church and those assigned to him for leadership. He might add, if the media and the Catholic Church leadership in Rome is actually concerned about truth that frankly is more important to souls than facts about history, they have a lot more serials liars in the ranks than me and one the biggest is this idiot that barred me. I would accept a debate on actual Church teaching with him any day.
So if Bishop Williamson personally isn't allowed in any churches or schools, I guess the rest of the SSPX is? Great news! :)
