Washington D.C., Mar 10, 2009 / 07:15 pm (CNA).- After receiving a letter from several abortion “rights” organizations, President Obama has created a position to address women’s concerns around the globe. On Friday the White House announced that he would nominate Melanne Verveer, an abortion supporter, to fill the new position of Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women’s Issues.
The January 23 letter, signed by the ACLU, the Center for Reproductive Rights, Feminist Majority, the International Planned Parenthood Federation and several others, praised Obama for repealing the Mexico City Policy. (Gee, ya think they just might "request" that he jump?)
The letter also requested that he work to “ensure that officials from your Administration act as a strong voice for women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights in the United Nations and other international arenas and do all in their power to translate international agreements into actions that improve women’s lives.” (Obama's masters have spoken. Jump, it is.)
On Friday, a statement from the White House announced the creation of the new position and lauded the President’s “unprecedented” decision which reflects the elevated importance of global women’s issues to the President and his entire Administration.” (And when they say "jump", Obama just has two questions: "how high, and when can I come down?")
The statement also noted that the Ambassador-at-Large for Women’s Issues, Melanne Verveer is the co-founder, chair and co-CEO of Vital Voices Global Partnership, an international organization that invests in emerging female leaders. Prior to founding Vital Voices, Verveer served as Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the First Lady in the Clinton Administration and was chief assistant to then First Lady Hillary Clinton in her international activities. (Wow... another Clintonista in Barry's orbit. Whoda thunkit? Looks like Bill & Friends are keeping The One on a very, very short leash.)

Wow, he had all that time to read a stupid letter and create a useless job, but no time or energy AT ALL to greet one of the world's most important leaders?
His priorities sure are interesting.
Those issues are not those of this woman. Evah.
Somebody tell me again how this chump is going to heal the political divide in this country and help us all work together.

OK, so now we should see the media ask who is actually in charge of the democratic party, Obama or the radical left abortion industry? Is this his Rush Limbaugh moment? Who is in charge of this country? those who keep asking the republicans about Rush and his 20 million angry white men should be asking BO about his being led by the far left wing radical NOW feminist abortion loving not moderates with their 122 followers. WHO IS RUNNING THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY...AMERICA WANTS TO KNOW.
Court jester - I love it, but marionette would be more like it. The Stooge was hand-picked by Pelosi, Reid, and Clinton, and they continue to pull the strings. He and Michelle get all the trappings but they better toe the Clinton line.

More than a few times a month, here in local newspapers, I read about a woman or child who was abused and/or killed by a "live-in boyfriend"...great progress, huh?
In medievel times, the court jester used humor to make an insightful comment about what was going on in a way that ensured him keeping his head. He hid his wisdom behind his"foolishness".
Thus, I hate to say it Cavey, but you are giving Obama way too much credit by showing him as the court jester.
Altar Boy got it right, he is a stooge. No wait, Larry, Moe & Curly actually had more sense as the 1 time they were delegates at a convention they were smart enough to figure out they were backing the wrong man & changed their votes.
I think we are going to have to come up with a new designation for Obama, maybe 1 that includes the term "castrati". Sorry to make all you guys uncomfortable, but given recent events, I really wonder if he has been neutered. Of course, that would also explain his being so tired & worn as well.
