A Clarion Call!
I am a battler what else can I do. (minor harsh language)
Well after much rinsing of the mouth with soap, due to the harsh language that intermittently burst forth from my lips (I am sure some thought I suffered from Tourettes), I am ready for my next move after this election.
I know you have heard everyone talking about how it is time to unite, get behind the new President he won fair and square .....well at least square. Heck even the pretend conservative McCain said that we must help Obama. Well if you are a practicing Catholic just what in the hell are you supposed to help him with?
He promised in the first 100 days to get the Freedom of Choice Act passed. Can Catholics help with that? That is a big fat NO. Are we to help him gain marriage rights for gays and lesbians, as he promised to do. Another big fat NO! Wait I know, we are supposed to help him and his congressional buddies take away the secret ballots for people voting yea or nay on unions. After all lots of good Catholics are in unions right? But then the people voting against unions would be bullied and beaten into submission, so another big fat NO!
You see as a good global citizen I am trying hard to find a way that I can help the new administration but the fact is that a practicing Catholic just CAN'T on any level lift one finger to help this administration do anything except pack the hell up in four years.
The moment you assist this evil you are corrupted and have supported the killing of innocents. So I warn and beg you to stay clear. Furthermore attack this monster through prayer, but even more emphatically you must use every measure of courage and wisdom God gave you to fight this evil head on. Take care of home first making sure your family understands their obligations to stand up for life. Then go after the people sitting in the pew next to you. You are the Church Militant (Ecclesia Militans) we are called that for a reason!
Get your battle dress shined up because it will be a long and hard four years. Let's kick some butt!

Now that the results are out and the majority of our fellow Catholics have come out in support of Obama, I plan on writing my letter to Saint Mary's requesting that Father Bob institute TLM in reparation for their support of a culture of death.
He ought to love that.
Some good cartoons by Michael Ramirez about Obama:

I love the image you used. It's from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception here in DC, and is a Byzantine-style rendering of Christ. Wherever you stand in the upper church of the Basilica, His eyes follow you. How appropriate!
I dragged my bitterness, guns, and religion to the voting booth on Tuesday and voted for the Constitution Party. But the Moloch Messiah won my state (Illinois) by damn near two-thirds anyway so I may as well have voted for Marvin the Martian for all the difference it made.
Chestertonian, Even Marvin the Martian would have been a better vote than the two government party candidates that were more popular!
Thanks for not voting for the government party!
You're right, Simplex. He would have been. And you'e welcome.
"Government Party." Is this a catch-all term for the two main parties? I like it!! Similar to what the Chicago Tribune's John Kass calls the two parties in Illinois: the Illinois Political Combine.
Yes the government party is both the democrats and the republicans. Republicans are the normal radicals who have allow gay rights and marriage, abortion, and irresponsible economics to progress in this country. They have paved the way for the extreme radicals to accellerate exponentially the downfall of this nation. They put homeland security in place, wiretapping, and bank surveillance. Notice the load cry for cooperation and all the partisans of a week ago are now all buddy buddy wanting to make things work. Nope this is the result of a fake two party system.
Again your vote for the Constitution Party was noble and right.
Chestertonian,
Karl Rove, at least, would both notice and care if you were registered Republican and voted Constitution.
In NC, ballot access is so restricted that write-in votes for the Constitution party are not counted. They were told how long they had to collect signatures for write-in access ... and then, they were told that the deadline was actually two weeks earlier.
