Ummm... that would be St. Thomas More spinning at 100,000 rpm's in his grave
WARNING! Harsh language alert!!!
The Chicks With Pyx bunch is another step closer to being legitimized... by none other than the St. Thomas More Society of San Diego. Shameful. Or to put it in vintage Cavemanese - this is pure and unadulterated bullshit.
As you can read below, The St. Thomas More Society is inviting a certain Jane Via of the openly schismatic and heretical group that calls itself WomanPriests. To be honest, when I first heard about this, my initial impression was that this little get together was to be some sort of debate forum, and I thought to myself "The St. Thomas More Society'll clean her clock". Boy, was I wrong.
Now that you've read it, are you puking or just uber-pissed?
There's no debate or anything even close to even a discussion with this dame. The STMS of SD is doing everything in it's power to legitimize this bunch or worn-out 60's reject Poncho Ladies. The STMS even went as far as to call her "a priest".
Who's next guys? Dignity.. Call To Action... The Hemlock Society... the North American Man-Boy Love Association? And yes, I've posted about this stealth priestess in the past.
But the icing on this veritable shitcake being served up by the STMS, is from their own reference to their mission statement;
#3. To apply and promote Catholic principles and tradition to modern problems
"Apply and promote Catholic principles", my ass. What say you bunch of frigging hypocrites cut through the bullshit and change you mission statement to something that at least is honest.
Might I suggest "apply, promote, and foster everything anti-Catholic while we jerk-off everyone within our blast radius into believing that we really are 'Catholic' although we, in all actuality, despise anything even remotely resembling real Catholicism."
And while I'm at it... where the hell is their chaplain, Msgr. Mark Campbell, is in all of this little slice of ecclesiastical mental masturbation? Hell, he's ONLY the former Judicial Vicar (AKA; the top Church lawyer) for the diocese of SD, so I know he has the bishop's ear whenever he wants. Well, in all fairness, he's probably doing everything he can to assist the civil lawyers dot the I's and cross the T's as they sell-off more church property in the Diocese of San Diego's latest "priest" rapist scandal.
As far as I'm concerned, the St Thomas More Society of San Diego is nothing more than a bunch of theological ambulance chasers.
Sorry asses.
Looks as if some sanity has been exercised at the San Diego chapter of the St. Thomas More Society. The Poncho Lady's been dis-invited. Click here for the entire article.
Here's some of the article from The California Catholic;
Just days before her scheduled appearance before the St. Thomas More Society of San Diego, the group’s board of directors has voted to disinvite “womanpriest” Jane Via.
At a hastily called special meeting on July 30, the society’s board of directors voted to cancel Via’s speaking engagement. She was scheduled to speak today.
Sources on the board told California Catholic Daily that some members had threatened to resign from the society if Via’s speech went forward. They said that the invitation was taken on the initiative of one member of the group, without authorization from the board or the knowledge of other members of the society.
The decision marks the second time Via has been invited, then uninvited, by the St. Thomas More Society of San Diego.
One thing I will say... I find it somewhat disconcerting that one lone member has the authority to invite this broad, lock-on a conference room at the posh Westgate Hotel, ensure that catering is all taken care of, send out invites, etc, etc... and no one else even had a clue as to what was going on?
I ain't buyin' it. Do the initials "CYA" mean anything to you? Oh, and does anyone else find it somewhat odd that this is the SECOND time she's been invited? I'm not the only one who sees this... am I?

Blast! I've given that group some money in the past, but never again!!
Thanks for making this public
Hold on there Sarge, they disinvited her.
After reading the letter I am puking and uber pissed! These soc-called women priests calling themselves--Roman Catholic just pisses me right off! They are NOT Roman Catholic--if they were they would be under the authority of our Pope--and not claim the "calling" of the priesthood.
What gets me is that there are so many who will go along with their delusional behavior. It's not okay!
As a client of St. Thomas More (who, by the way, keeps popping up all over the place at this critical juncture in my career and life), I am not amused. And I don't think he is either.
A novena to St. Thomas More is definitely in order.
The sound you hear eminating from England is St. Thomas More turning in his grave.
VSO,
Do you have a ref on that?
I'd LOVE to get the word out that she's been "dis-invited"!!
You can see that "dis-invite" article at the California Catholic site.

Also it's on Gerald's blog
"One member of the San Diego St. Thomas More Society extended an invitation to Ms. Via without the knowledge or approval of the Society's Board or general membership. Upon learning of the invitation, a Board meeting was held on July 30th. The Board fully discussed the matter and then voted to withdraw the invitation of Ms. Via to speak to the San Diego St. Thomas More Society"

I have it on good authority from Catholics within the San Diego legal community, if anything at all was sent out announcing that the "priestess" would not be appearing, it did not receive near the distribution of the flyer shown in this post.
Also, regardless of whether it was one or more of the STMS board that invited the priestess, what a lack of respect to their bishop who put her under interdict (others argue she was automatically excommunicated by her act, though I confess I don't know all the ramifications of an interdict).
That letter to the membership you posted is about as error-filled, bunk-bloated, and mendacious a piece of trash and filth as ever I have seen under a law firm's letterhead. The guy that wrote that ought to be lashed to a chair and forced to watch 50 straight hours of Hillary Clinton speeches.
I think it's definitely time that the SD STMS demanded Vino Pajanor's resignation from their board.
It it normal that he'd send these announcements out on his firm's stationery? Anyone know if the Society has letterhead of its own for communications?
The man who signed the letter of announcement has an interesting bio
Vino Pajanor – Mr. Pajanor, a graduate of Madras Law College, India (J.D./L.L.B. ‘95) and University of San Diego School of Law (L.L.M. ‘02) who is pursuing doctoral studies in Educational Leadership in Peace and Justice at University of San Diego, practiced law in India for five years before relocating to San Diego. Mr. Pajanor is at Higgs, Fletcher & Mack LLP where he focuses on corporate law, cross-border transactions, bankruptcy law, real estate law, and estate planning. After joining SABA-SD’s Board in early 2004, Mr. Pajanor will continue to serve as Vice-President for the 2004-2006 term and also is the Secretary of Thomas More Society of San Diego.
