Another Shining Moment For The USCCB
And by shining, I mean embarrassing
The headline from the USCCB Office of Media Relations says it all: Catholic Bishops Urge Amnesty International to Restore Its Neutral Position on Abortion
As usual, the USCCB has taken yet another bold and heroic stance firmly in the middle of the road.
"Remain neutral on abortion?" I guess the millions and millions of unborn children who were torturously butchered don't rate amnesty, internationally or otherwise, huh? I'm way past being shocked at anything the USCCB says anymore. Let's just say that it'll suffice if we collectively hang our heads in sorrow and shame.
To be perfectly honest, this whole "remain neutral" stance of the USCCB smacks of what Christ said about vomiting what is lukewarm out of your mouth. It's high time Catholicism shoved it's finger down it's throat and gave the USCCB the treatment it so richly deserves.
But I strongly suspect that the USSCB refuses to take an authentic and unmistakably Catholic stance against Amnesty International simply because the USCCB agrees with AI on so many different issues. Such as;
~ Both are steadfastly against the death penalty.
~ Both scream for shamnesty for the 20 million lawbreaking illegal aliens already in America.
~ Both never miss an opportunity to criticize and/or condemn the conduct of the United States in the War on Terrorism.
It's pretty obvious that the USCCB's milquetoast stance against Amnesty International, is all in the name of liberal political expediency. Shame be on your heads, USCCB.

Would it be within the bounds of "fraternal correction" if we were to take every one of these Judases out and put two behind their f***ing ears?

Most English speaking prelates are happy to buy into the left's agenda.
