I receive communion on the tongue and have for the past few years.
All this begs the questions though--if Communion in the hands is so awful (and your links prove that it most probably *is*) then WHY DO THE BISHOPS ALLOW IT?!?!? Or, Why does the Vatican allow the Bishops to allow it?!? More than 10 seconds of thought on this issue alone can raise my blood pressure beyond what is healthy.

As Pope Pual VI said years ago; "the smoke of satan has entered the sanctuary".
Or even better, what the Holy Mother said at Akita, Japan, words to the effect of "the work of satan to destroy The Church shall come from within".
Scarey stuff, indeed.
Very scary. I have to keep reminding myself that all the saints were obedient to their bishops and other authority figures, regardless.

Thanks for the heads-up on the bad link. It's fixed now.
And as far as obedience is concerned, please keep in mind St Athanasius. Remember when he fought the Arian heresy, and where he was, 80% of the bishops adhered to said heresy. When informed of that, St Athasasuis replied, "So? All that means is that 80% of the bishops are WRONG!"
Obedience, yes.
Obedience to error? Never
Thanks, vir! I think when bishops err, it is especially awful because it can be so confusing to the faithful--especially those who really want to *be* faithful!
