What... Me, Negative?
(insert sarcasm here) Nooooooooo......
I usually don't have entire posts dedicated towards a message left in the ComBox. But this fine morning, I was greeted with a comment saying something along the lines of how I was "negative". Who... me?
Anyhoo, I decided to take a stroll down memory lane and list the last 10 postings. Golly, am I really that negative?
1. If This Is Spring, I'd Hate To See Winter. This posting is concerning the recent report that less than 50% of Spanish youth identify themselves as 'Catholic'. That's not me being negative... that's me being factual.
2. Raise Your Hands If You're Sure. My observations towards the Protestant inspired hand/arm gyrations during Mass. I also railed against purposefully dressing down to attend Holy Mass. Yeah, I was pretty negative on that one.
3. How About Some Truth From Catholic News Services?. I pointed out two misleading headlines from "reputable" Catholic news services. I just pointed out the obvious.
4. Give Credit Where Credit Is Due. Commentary concerning the pitching ability of President Bush, and the lack thereof on the part of Senator Kerry. Again, pointing out the obvious.
5. The Gospel According To Bono. Mentioning how a certain Protestant denomination is hosting Holy Hootennanies featuring the music of a certain Irish group named after a now defunct spy plane. Take it for what it's worth. I just call 'em as I see 'em.
6. The Most Beautiful Woman Ever?. The only way this posting can be considered negative is if you hate Grace Kelly.
7. 'Catholic' Nun Calls Abortion ‘Essential’. No explanation needed. You tell me... am I being negative on this one, or just truthful?
8. What Do We Do With The Next 12 Million?. This is about the illegal immigration plague. It's more political than theological... but you make the call.
9. The Theology Of Alfred E. Newman. How appropriate. This one is for all those out there who have replaced the Agnus Dei with "What, Me Worry?"
10. Breaking News From Rome. Ya gotta be kidding me. This one is probably the most positive posting I've ever written!
OK, consider my loins girded. Assail me with slings and arrows of OUTRAGEOUS French accents... 'er, I mean misfortune.

You're posting more about the things that make you unhappy than about the things that make you happy.
Some, I think, would call that negative.
But hey, that's OK, too.
but what if being unhappy makes me happy? *evil grin and smirk firmly in place*
