Pope Nancy Wags Finger At American Bishops
Only a handful stand up to her
Here's some of a pathetically sad article from The California Catholic Daily;
Pelosi lectures bishops
House Speaker says Church should preach immigration reform from its pulpits
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the San Francisco Democrat and self-described Catholic who has repeatedly run afoul of American bishops for her pro-abortion, pro-stem cell research voting record, has counseled U.S. prelates they should preach immigration reform from the pulpit.
"The cardinals, the archbishops, the bishops that come to me... say, 'We want you to pass immigration reform,' and I said, 'I want you to speak about it from the pulpit,'" Pelosi told participants at a May 6 conference at the U.S. Capitol sponsored by the National Catholic Reporter and Trinity Washington University, her alma mater. "Some (who) oppose immigration reform are sitting in those pews, and you have to tell them that this is a manifestation of our living the Gospels."
“Within the last 24 hours, the archbishops of Denver, New York, Philadelphia and Washington D.C., along with Bishop William Lori have all publicly upbraided the Speaker of the House for her erroneous comments on the Church’s abortion teaching,” reported Catholic News Agency at the time.

Five.
A whopping five of our alleged 'leaders' have had the backbone to stand up to Pope Nancy. Keep in mind, there are over 300 members of the USCCB.
Could we be seeing the real 3d Message of Fatima being played out? Just a thought.

We have known for many years that the bishops have a soft place in their communal hearts for the illegal trespassers in this country, saying nothing about the proper means and ways of entering this country and making that possible. They canonized Cesar Chavez and have since then blinded themselves to the real concerns of those who wish to protect our borders and keep the American Identity that our ancestors--"immigrants" helped to build--but out ancestors of just a few generations ago identified themselves as Americans--not hyphenated Americans. They worked hard to learn English, worked long hours at difficult jobs, moved from place to place to find homes for their families, and then built churches, schools, hospitals and orphanages out of their deep faith and trust that they were meeting the needs of social justice, long before it became a political term. Who is Nancy Pelosi that she thinks that she can tell the Bishops what to preach when she is against their stand on moral and sexual issues that impact the lives of millions, Catholic and non-Catholic alike. Get her out of office along with the rest of the Catholics in Name Only that hold political office--it was almost better when Catholics were not so politically powerful and the country knew where we stand.
Seems to me that the bishops have been speaking out on this for a very long time. Those mentioned and others including those of Phoenix(!)...Sacramento...Los Angeles...
Maybe the congressperson needs to have her ears checked, since she hasn't seem to have heard the bishops as they have also spoken out on abortion and other subjects either.
What did you expect? When rebellion like hers goes unchecked, it just gets worse and worse. The Holy Father granted her a private audience and gave a "talking to," which she ingnored. She basically told her own bishop, the ordinary of San Francisco, where to stuff "his" interpretation of the Catholic Catechism, and still presents herself for Holy Communion without rebuff or complaint. At top of all that, she serves the Anointed One and she worships at the altar of abortion on demand. Why shouldn't she think she can also lecture the bishops?
I'm not a constitutional scholar or anything, but wouldn't this be a violation of separation of church and state? If the roles were reversed, and the Bishops were telling Nancy what to do, the ACLU would be having a hissy fit.
And people wonder why I drink, no take that back! And people wonder why I stop drinking!
At Mass today, during the homily, our priest called Nancy Pilosi out on her crap/dissent. I almost broke out in a round of applause. He went on to state that we need to follow the immigration laws and that she needs to get a clue on homosexuality/gay marriage, abortion, etc. It was great!
That a self-described "ardent practicing Catholic" like Popessa Pelosi isn't aware of what her Church's catechism says about the responsibilities of "immigrants" is shocking.
< sarc. off >
Here's a refresher for the uninformed "ardent practicing Catholic":
Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens" (CCC 2241)
Gratitude? These "immigrants" that she wants so as to shore up the Democrat party, are a perfect fit and "ready-made." Imbued with America-hatred and Lib-theo indoctrinated. Think these immigrants are grateful? No wonder she wants them so bad.
Seriously, this woman only repeats what some lackey looked up for her. She made a fool of herself in and interview with LockJaw Brokaw in the summer of 2008. LockJaw asked her what she would tell the godling [i.e. The South-Side Stooge] if he asked her when life began. The "ardent practicing Catholic" began to babble that in her long study of the matter, over the centuries the doctors of the church haven't been able to discern when life begins..."St. Augustine said at three months."
If Popessa Pelosi [or her lackeys for that matter] had done her homework, she would have known that from the beginning, the Church has been against procuring abortion in any manner. That what St. Augustin was debating was ensoulment, not the beginning of life.
November, 2010, can't come soon enough!
