Coming Soon To A Cathedral Near You
Joyfully stolen from The California Catholic Daily

Don't expect much from our "leaders" withthe exception of a courageous few. Here's some of the article;

Coming to a cathedral near you
Homosexual activists plan to disrupt Masses worldwide on Pentecost Sunday

A self-described group of “gay Catholics” has announced plans to don the colors of the homosexual rights movement and attempt to receive Communion at cathedrals across the world on Pentecost Sunday.

The group, the Rainbow Sash Movement, said in an announcement posted on its website that it was targeting cathedrals so the activists could come face to face with bishops “to clarify a misunderstanding based on homophobic notions of LGBT People.”

“On Pentecost Sunday, May 23, members and supporters of the Rainbow Sash Movement will be entering Cathedrals nationally and internationally,” says a statement by the group’s board of directors posted on its website. “As is our tradition we will put Rainbow Sashes on when the Liturgy begins. The Rainbow Sash self identifies us Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender people and our allies.”

Deliberately disrupting a religious service is a crime -- or was, last I looked.

What misunderstandings? Like, interrupting the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass to declare that you are a habitual sinner was misunderstood the last time these idiots did this?

How to NOT win friends and influence people.

Hey, I have an idea. When the Rainbow Sashers show up and act up, let's sit beside these bozos, and when they try to get up to receive communion, force them to stay in their seats.

These narcissists want to force everyone to accept their perverse lifestyle at a minimum or “ideally” to celebrate it; tolerance was never their objective, it was always indoctrination via schools and the media. They are the fascists that are forcing their views on others.

I plan to fight back by writing my congressmen and asking them to raise taxes on K-Y Jelly and “marital aids.”

Pray for your pastors and homilists! The Rainbow Sash people need to called out BEFORE the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

I was beginning to wonder what happened to the Sashayers. I haven't heard about this annual stunt in a while.

And scotju, the blockade tactic has been used before and hasn't been particularly effective. Their point is to be disruptive, while yours is to participate in the re-presentation of the Sacrifice. It is up to the bishop to empower priests, deacons, and extraoridinary ministers to simply deny those who would approach the altar with their hearts on their sash and directed somewhere other than the Blessed Sacrament. (Good luck with that.)

Abp. Flynn here in St. Paul finally drew a line in the sand about the Sashayers a year or two ago; but if I remember rightly, the homosexuals took off their sashes, received Communion, and then shared it with the sashed in the pews. I hope Abp. Nienstedt will be much more firm - that is to say, correct to deny Communion to those who publicly proclaim defiance of Church teaching.

You know, I just don't remember how that played out, whether those stories were corroborated. The Cathedral was where the blockade tactic was tried the previous year. Abp. Nienstedt seems to be more of a behind-the-scenes manager, so I'm not expecting some big pronouncement.
