"Shut Up, B***H"
Love, John Quinn, San Francisco
Yes... that's exactly what San Francisco's Archpresider Emeritus John Quinn said when he sent the below letter of support to The South-Side Stooge.
My only question is this -- was he speaking to The Blessed Virgin Mary (Notre Dame), or just to Holy Mother the Church in general? Johnny-boy knows. And so does God.
Here's some of the article from LifeSiteNews.com;
SAN FRANCISCO, California, May 15, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) - San Francisco's Archbishop Emeritus John Quinn has published a letter to President Obama which he hopes will "offer a different voice from" what he called "the often strident outcries" of those who oppose his appearance at Notre Dame - including over 75 other U.S. bishops and over 360,000 petitioners.
Quinn goes on to praise "the fine example" Obama has given in his married life and in his "love and devotion" to his children, and Obama's "ability to listen to and weigh views different from" his own.
Quinn concludes: "Mr. President, I address this letter to you not to deal with matters of policy or legislation, but simply to wish you great blessings and to assure you of my prayer that your service as President will bring lasting benefits to all Americans who, with you, cherish the ideal of 'liberty and justice for all.'"
In a column for the March 30 edition of America, Quinn had criticized the uproar of Catholic leaders and laity against the Obama honor, saying that it risked "public embarrassment" for the President.
"If the president is forced to withdraw, will that bring about fewer abortions in the United States?" the archbishop mused. "We must weigh very seriously the consequences if the American bishops are seen as the agents of the public embarrassment of the newly elected president by forcing him to withdraw from an appearance at a distinguished Catholic university."

These people are so twisted they have to speak out of their collective a$$es. In this case, apparently he borrowed one from a horse.
The devil knows his own.
This seems to me a virtual schism within the Catholic Church in America. One bishop we know for sure on one side and 30+ bishops on the other side with the "silent majority" being . . . ah . . . er . . . ahem . . . silent.
HMMM:
Quinn goes on to praise "the fine example" Obama has given in his married lifeI bet you anything that Obama and his wife used contraception. Anything.
When will someone do something about these bishops?
"if the American bishops are seen as the agents of the public embarrassment of the newly elected president"
Will someone please send Archbishop Quinn Simplex's post on Thomas a Becket. Does Quinn think he was an embarrassment?
As for Obama's "love & devotion". What about the fact that Obama has made it clear that doesn't extend to his grandchildren should his daughters decide to have an abortion?
All those Bishops that have failed to do what they should when it comes to defending the Church's teachings will find them judged by history the same way that the Arian Bishops are, maybe the majority but definitely on the wrong side.
