Classy IS Sexy
No need to look like trash, girls
I appreciate a beautiful woman. And I've made no secret that I consider the 30's and 40's look to be a damn sight sexier than the present day show everything ya got and try your best to come across like a slut look.
I'm really glad that the organizers of the Miss America Contest decided to have the ladies pose in what they termed the glam shot. (Full gallery of all the contestants here.) To be perfectly honest, I find these photos to be more enjoyable to view than the ones with them attired in two band-aides and dental floss. Leave something to the imagination, girls. Us guys really like that.
Anyhow, even though they're all knock-outs, here are my top choices. And I gotta be honest... I based my decision on who could I picture effortlessly sharing the screen with the likes of Grace Kelly, Gene Tierney, Gloria Talbott or Myrna Loy. How 'bout you?

After a couple of interesting comments, I've decided to expand my horizons and add a couple of blonds to the mix. Happy now VL and CC? Ahhh... the sacrifices I make for my readership! *insert evil grin here*

Oh, I gotta disagree with ya, VL! But I think we could probably agree that The Glam Look is more atttractive than the swimsuits. Agreed?
It's so true! Apart from Miss Florida they do look the same! But yeah, the glam look is so much better then the slut look.

They did a great job with this. Although they could have used some coaching in the facial expressions. Look at any glam shot or pinup shot 30s - 50s, the expression completes the shot.
The thing is, they still all look half anorexic, concentration camp chic being being all the rage in our debased era.
Gimmi Maureen O'Hara circa The Quiet Man, and her whole milk hooters, any day over these broads. Rowr!!
Without putting it to bluntly, for those of you who think, except for Miss Florida, they look alike, I would suggest getting your eyes examined.
After looking at these pictures I have a strong urge to find a film noir festival as several of these dames would look great opposite Bogey, John Garfield, Fred McMurray etc in any of those great oldies.
A tip of the fedora to Cavey for this touch of class.

I never have understood the naked slut look. I think most people look better with their clothes ON, thank you. Love is, of course, blind, but unless you are with only the one you love, cover it up, please.
I sat behind a teenager at Mass today--she was wearing cut-off short shorts and a nice tight spaghetti strap tshirt. I guess she thought she might put out for the Lord? Ugh.
Her mom wasn't dressed much better, but at least she had the sense to wear long pants. What ever happened to wearing skirts? I wore one that coordinated nicely with my veil.... ;)
