The 'Fresh Breeze' Stinks
This must be that 'Springtime of the Church' I've heard so much about
On the heels of the posting I did yesterday concerning the Pew Research Center's Forum on Religion & Public Life, here's some of the article from CatholicCulture.org;23 million ex-Catholic adults in US; 6 million converts to Catholicism A new survey has found that 10.1% of America’s estimated 230 million adults are former Catholics, while 2.6% of American adults are converts to Catholicism. Thus there are roughly 4 adult Americans who have left the faith for every 1 who has entered the Church. Lousy catechises, ambiguous liturgy, spineless 'leadership', subjective morality, theological liberalism... is any of this really that shocking?
I seem to recall reading something along the lines of 'by their fruits you shall know them'.

sorry, I hate to say this, but I think you're giving ex-Catholic adults too much credit.I don't think they left because of problems with the Church but with a problem within themselves.
It's some of both, I think.
Is this what they call the "fruits of Vatican II"?
