When It Absolutely, Positively, Has To Be Groveled To Overnight

Would you expect any less from Sodom By The Sea? Cowardice is one thing... collaboration is another. I know defense of the indefensible when I see it.
Here's some of the article from The California Catholic Daily; (Emphasis mine)“Agents of public embarrassment of the newly elected president”
Retired San Francisco archbishop says calls for cancellation of Obama’s speech at Notre Dame could backfire on Church, pro-life movement
San Francisco Archbishop Emeritus John R. Quinn has chimed in on the Obama-Notre Dame controversy, warning U.S. bishops calling on the Catholic university to cancel its invitation to “weigh very seriously the consequences if the American bishops are seen as the agents of the public embarrassment of the newly elected president.” (Hell, I certain hope the bishops do "embarrass" The South-Side Stooge. But hey, whatever we do, let's not embarrass the New Messiah, shall we?)
Quinn, 80, served as Archbishop of San Francisco from 1977-1995, and as president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops from 1977-1980 (Wow, what credentials. I'm underwhelmed). Writing in the March 30 edition of the Jesuit weekly magazine America, the retired archbishop said, “The demand from many Catholic bishops and lay leaders that the University of Notre Dame rescind its invitation to President Obama to deliver the 2009 commencement address is surely a critical moment in the relationship between the Catholic Church in the United States and the wider American society (Your Excellency, are you in the world or of the world?). Before battle lines harden further on this issue, we should take time-out to ask some hard and penetrating questions.” (Can you believe this gutless bullshit? "Before battle lines harden further..." MILLIONS of murdered children, and this guy's worried about upsetting the Butcher-In-Chief? I wonder if he has an Obama '08 bumper sticker on the back of his Volvo?)

The harder the battle lines the better they are for repelling the enemy and providing a safe area of operations from which to to launch counter offensives.
If the battle lines are weak you can expect to have your base area overran by the enemy and your forces routed.
On a personal level fair minded people tend to respect those who act in a way consistent with what they profess to belief I have found.
Men like this Bishop were never cut out to be leaders and now that they are retired they need to stay retired and let us get on with fixing their mess.
Nice...I think the retired Archbishop left more than his heart in San Francisco.
But what do we know Cavey? We're "fundamentalists" "radicals" and "extremeists." It doesn't take much nowadays to be one does it?
Volvo?? I wager it's either a Prius or a Smart car.
Puke Bucket
Only thing that came to mind.
