So why didn't Jack Kennedy kiss the Pope's ring? Hmmm... I wonder?

Here's the meat and potatoes of the article from CNS.com;

On “Fox & Friends” Friday morning, Geraldo Rivera offered the opinion that Obama’s bow was the reflexive instinct of someone raised in the Muslim tradition – “a sign of affection and respect” from a younger man to an older man.And Geraldo isn't the only one falling all over himself defending The South-Side Stooge. Obamaniacs are lemmingesquely lining up all over the web to explain away The Bow.

But anyhow, I recall reading of an instance during the Kennedy Presidency, while on a visit to NYC, there so happened to be a couple of reporters with JFK in the Presidential limo. As they drove by St. Patrick's Cathedral, President Kennedy (without even thinking) did the Sign of the Cross.

As soon as he realized what he had done (and realized that a couple of secular reporters just saw what happened), he sheepishly said "that's off the record, OK guys?"

Whatever problems Kennedy did or didn't have in his marriage, you have to admit that even if the only reason was for the photo-op, here was a guy who went to Mass on a regular basis.

For Jack Kennedy to 'reflectively' execute a Sign of the Cross is not only reasonable, but expected. To expect us to buy-off on the excuse that Obama would 'reflectively' bow as deeply as he did... and he supposedly hasn't been exposed to islam on a daily basis for decades now... c'mon, Geraldo. Don't piss down our backs and tell us it's raining.
