Get thee behind me, Tony. On second though...

Tony Blair already out of step with Church
Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, speaking in an interview with a homosexual magazine, has advocated that Pope Benedict XVI "rethink" the Catholic position on homosexual acts. The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual acts are "intrinsically disordered" but does not comment on homosexuality's origins. The Church also calls on Christians to treat homosexuals with "respect, compassion, and sensitivity," the Catechism of the Catholic Church says.
Blair, who converted to Catholicism in 2007, told the gay-oriented magazine Attitude there was a "generation difference" on the issue. (There may be some truth to this quote. After a steady diet of theoligical carrion and vomit for the past 40+ years, I'm sure most young Catholics are confused.)
"You'd start having to rethink many, many things. Now, my view is that rethinking is good, so let's carry on rethinking," he said. (What the hell did he just say?! I think he sprained his brain rethinking that comment.)
"But I think what is interesting is that if you went into any Catholic church, particularly a well-attended one, on any Sunday here and did a poll of the congregation, you'd be surprised at how liberal-minded people were." (Hey Tony, in case Father Limpwrist failed to mention it during your so-called "RCIA classes", you'd know that Catholicism is a theocracy, not a democracy. Oh, and I'm sure the Self-Worshipitorium you attend is liberal-minded. How sad you look upon The Revealed Truth as subject to personal opinion polls.)

Maybe someone should point out to Tony that the majority in Christ's day voted to have Him crucified and ever since then God hasn't been to keen on democracy.
What is that object that Blair is sucking/blowing ? on?
I don't get it.
A whistle? A lice vacuum? What?
You just explained it when you referred to RCIA classes. Had he taken private instructions--as in the old days--with a priest who was orthodox in the Faith, Blair would have never "Poped."
Oh, I wonder how the Church got along all these Centuries without "lay" catechists having to rely principally upon Her ordained priests!!!
Volpius...your right, and let's not forget it was the jews who paid the crowd to shout out the name "Barabbas"!
There is no such thing as a liberal Catholic. Some actually believe there is a democrat catholic as well. I think that is why we have new catholics joining the Church at Easter. Some join as Catholics who actually believe the teaching of the church. Some seem to join because the believe in the easter bunny.
Hail3,
How about we remember it was the Jewish leaders, whose position was threatened by Christ's success, not "the Jews" who shouted for Barabbas. The "crowd" you mention, along with the Apostles and all Christ's disciples who did not ask for his death, also happened to be Jews.
