The Holy Father's Comments About Condoms & HIV
Those that attend The Church of the Sacred Orgasm aren't going to like this post
WARNING! Harsh language alert!
Yeah, yeah... a veritable shit-storm has rained down on The Holy Father for his comments. Specifically, from the AP;YAOUNDE, Cameroon – Pope Benedict XVI said condoms are not the answer to the AIDS epidemic in Africa and can make the problem worse, setting off criticism Tuesday as he began a weeklong trip to the continent where some 22 million people are living with HIV.
Benedict also said the Roman Catholic Church was at the forefront of the battle against AIDS. "You can't resolve it with the distribution of condoms," the pope told reporters aboard the Alitalia plane heading to Yaounde. "On the contrary, it increases the problem."
The pope said a responsible and moral attitude toward sex would help fight the disease... Well, there's the fatal flaw with The Pope's remarks. He's asking for responsibility and morality in an irresponsible and immoral world.
But anyhow... with all that aside, let me ask a painfully simple question: how many of you would be comfortable with your child having sexual intercourse with an individual who is AIDS/HIV positive, even if a condom was used? Especially you liberals... think about it before you give your knee-jerk answer.
Something else to think about, Pope Benedict is sooooooo freakin' far ahead in his thinking. He knows damn good and well that you don't get a problem, wrap it in latex, and call that a solution.

God forbid that Benedict would ask for responsibility and morality in an irresponsible and immoral world.
Who does he think he is, the Pope? Oh yeah he is. & he is doing exactly what he should do in the face of a world that daily finds new ways to reject God's way of living.
The world wants the Catholic Church to condone sin via the use of condoms, the Pope says the only sure way to avoid AIDS/HIV is to avoid sin. I'd say he has the real solution.

Most of the arguments from the pro-condom crowd seem to boil down to how it is unrealistic to expect people with HIV/AIDS to abstain from sexual relations for the rest of their lives.
Well, I don't see how that is unrealistic at all! I don't know anyone who would be comfortable having sex with an infected person--which means that the pool of possible sexual partners for someone with HIV/AIDS has all but dried up, anyway. Unless, that is, people are under the delusion that using a condom makes it all okay.
I imagine that if some logistical problem meant that one area was deprived of condoms for an extended period, even the staunchest condom advocates would recommend abstinence.
The one thing that none of the condomaniacs ever talk about is how an African woman is supposed to convince her husband to wear a condom in the first place. I wonder how many poor ladies have been beaten for even bringing it up.
