I Finally Met Them!
Our Lady of Akita's Warriors ~ NC Chapter, that is
Mrs. Caveman and I drove many, many miles to a certain parish today for Mass. Afterwards, that's when I met a few members of OLoAW. Great buncha guys! It was like Christmas in August. (inside joke)
Their chaplain was a hoot, as usual. Now I'm not implying that he's a Good Ol' Southern Boy through and through... but let's just say that I'm surprised that he hasn't added Jefferson Davis to the Litany of The Saints. And maybe it's just me, but when he says omnia gratis, it sounds an awful lot like hominy grits.
I just wish their co-chaplain could have been there. It certainly would have been keen. (another inside joke)

I'm glad you posted about this - one of my very good friends (who recently left for Philly) called me and told me he met you, and we were both so very excited. I wish I had been able to go that night, now I know what I missed!
