IHTCC Fairy Alert!!
Or as the Germans say ~ Höhlemann-Geheimnispolizei
Yes, the I Hate The Catholic Caveman Fairy is on the loose again. In this case, it's fluttering about under the authority of Toni over at Catholic Tickle Fight, or some such effeminate title.
Yes, Toni has ordained himself to be The Official Watch Dog of The Lair of the Catholic Cavemen. Golly gee... my very own Blogosphere Gestapo! I must really aggravate the hell out of him. I love it.
Or as Toni puts it; Actually Kevin, I devote so many posts to you because your opinions on Catholic doctrine are just so wrong on so many levels. If you'd keep them to yourself, it wouldn't be a problem, but since you insist on posting them on the internet for everyone to see, the scandal needs to be addressed. You seem immune to private fraternal correction, so following the advice of St. Paul, I take it public. As long as you keep getting it wrong, I'll keep correcting you.
Yes, the same Toni that has no problem with by-passing Jesus, and praying straight to The Father (disregard that whole "no man shall go to The Father except through Me" stuff). I find it ironic that he quotes St. Paul, but ignores Jesus.
Yes, the same Toni that wags his finger at Senator Brownback because he (as Toni sees it) "violated Reagan's 11th commandment: 'Thou shalt not speak ill of a fellow Republican'". And in the same breath, goes into a diatribe against a Republican, the very same Senator Sam Brownback. Can anyone else smell Toni's hypocrisy?
But I honestly do see where Toni's coming from. If anyone has the bad manners not to agree with him, you're wrong. Period. And he'll make it his life's work to keep an eye on you. Oh, and he's yet to give me a specific where I got any Catholic Teaching wrong. But silly me, Toni dictates what is and isn't Official Catholic Teaching. I reiterate... silly me.
Also, did anyone else notice that he said "your opinions on Catholic doctrine are just so wrong on so many levels". How can someones opinion be wrong? But like I've said, he's never given a specific. Just his usual hissy-fit. Thanks for proving my point, Toni.
OK, all joking aside. You know, Toni... if you don't like my blog or what I have to say, it's real simple. Don't come here. But as long as you keep dedicating post after post after post to me, you're not really impressing anyone. Besides coming off as having a rather weird fixation towards me, you're just coming across as an angry, petty little man. And besides, I'm already spoken for. Sorry, Toni.

Strange...I never realized that *men* could dress like hookers. (As per the beer-gut dude with his arse hanging out of his eh...tights...)
You learn something new every day!
By the way, Cavey, keep being a club-bearing grunt. That "Official Watch Dog of The Lair of the Catholic Cavemen" is just here for the pretty pictures. He knows it but he just can't admit it.
God bless!
Sarge if I responded to every critic who spoke ill of my performance on stage, I'd never get anything done. A handful of toss-offs decided to personally attack me about my latest show, butI just ignored them (and people are still fighting over it even though the Festival has been over for two weeks). One of them is a guy wo only has a car and a house because he lived with his mommy until she died, and that was last year and he's in his late 40's. Just ignore them Sarge.
But yeah, it always amazes me when people read the op-eds or blogs of those ideas they don't like, like how liberals always listen to Rush with hands-wringing and mouths foaming.
As far as I can tell you correctly cite Church doctrine, even Orthodox doctrine (to an extent). Be flattered that they are so threatened by you that they dedicate so much energy lambasting you. They're Nervous Order, they wouldn't know authentic Christianity if Dr. Who showed up and took them back to meet Jesus.
caveman,
I must have missed "Toni's" blog address--could you post it--I'd like to check it out? How could ANYONE not think your blog is the coolest of the cool??? He/she must be smokin something!
Great picture - It is just the way I have pictured Toni!!
Love your blog - it always makes me laugh - but it also makes me appreciate Catholics like you! Thank you for your service as a Marine - Semper Fi.
Tara and CC,
Thanks for the kind words!

VSO,
You're probably right... but it's so much fun dissecting this guy!
I don't understand why either of you read the other's blog (I read and enjoy both, except when you take off on each other). Life's too short to read blogs you don't like.
Anneh,
Thanks!

Paul,
I normally don't read his blog. I happen to have Blogger Alert. Every time I have someone link to me on their blog, I get an e-mail notification. Hence, everty time Toni has another I Hate The Catholic Caveman hissy-fit, I'm notified via e-mail.
PS,
Did I mention that he has a weird fixation towards me?
I don't know caveman, a guy with a pink pillow fight blog--with a fixation on you, hmmmmm.
I checked out his/her site and found one good thing the header:
"When someone asks you 'think about what Jesus would do', remember that a valid option is to freak out and turn over tables" -- Unknown
But, pink, pillows, fixation and freaking out, and dedicationg post after post to you--sounds like obsessive stalking--hmmm.
It sounds like one guy is only making as good a use of his freedom of speech just as much as the other guy is. I, too, would recommend spending one's time elsewhere.
Well. I would be remiss and ungrateful if I didn't post how much I love your blog; truly, The Car Crash Of Blogs. I can't get on computer everyday, but I always check out the Caveman et al., because I always leave here in a much better mood than when I clicked in. Thank You, for providing valuable Mental Health Reality Checks.
Sometimes, you are lucky enough to be disliked by the right people.
Tony's a smart guy. If you think he is that much a moron, then let him post his comments here. It would save you both time, since you posted on Cardinal Lustiger, then he posted on your posting, then you posted on his posting with the William Shatner thing (which I originally thought was directed at me until later I figured out that your use of feminine pronouns was a swing at Tony), then he updated his posting after your William Shatner thing, then you responded with this posting, and so he updated his posting again with your response. And Paul the Regular Guy is the only one who seems to be able to bridge the gap.
Pwhew!
Seems to me you're stalking each other. And in a weird way, it's a very symbiotic relationship.
BTW, I responded to your comments left on my blog re: Kaddish.
Now, now, Cavey and Tony: Do I have to turn this blogosphere around and go straight home?
Seriously - I read you, Caveman, and I read Tony's blog.
This Catholic in-fighting on the blogosphere breaks my heart. We have so many enemies and people who despise us, why must we fight with each other?
I understand there's a difference in ideologies. But rather than arguing, let's talk and try to come to understanding and respect.
Please?
Digi,
When Tony first came to this blog and started commenting (snide remarks, I might add), I hade the rules very clear to him and asked to to abide by such. He refuse... he's banned. Believe me, I wouldn't ever go to his blog, but like I pointed out to Paul, I have "Blogger Alert". Whenever someone links to me, I get an e-mail notification. So on a semi-regular basis, I get a heads-up that Tony's posted another "fixated on Kevin" post.
Enough about that nonsense. I've left a response on your blog via the Kaddish.

Amy,
I think the best thing I can do right now is let my temper settle down. I REALLY need to stop going to his blog whenever he posts another one of his tirades.
I do find it odd that he's ordained himself to be the Blogospheres very own Catholic Caveman Watchdog.
Kevin,
So what if he doesn't like what you say? Do yourself a favor - turn off the d**ned "Blogger Alert" and just enjoy your blogging! And you should go to his blog - like it or not, even if you disagree with him, Tony, Jimbob of the Apokalypse, Dave Oatney and Amy Pawlak have some of the best writing styles in the blogosphere and reading their stuff may serve to enhance your own (no, I'm not saying you're a bad writer - everyone can and should be working to improve their skills, be it writing, or critical thinking, or brewing beer, if that's your thing).
Stephanie
You know, having just looked at the comments on Tony's blog again, I would think you'd be more agahst at whomever made the anti-Semitic comment using the moniker "CaveyRoolz".
Jewish plot to suppress the SSPX? That's as bad as Murderous Albino Monks in the cellars of Opus Dei (at least they give ours his own room in the rectory over at my church). Meshugganeh!
So what if he doesn't like what you say? Do yourself a favor - turn off the d**ned "Blogger Alert" and just enjoy your blogging!
And I'm really not trying to sound sarcastic... but I realize you desire not to have censorship at all on your blog. That's cool. Hey, it's your blog. You can run it any way you like.
I understand what you say about Tony, let's just say.... I see things differently.
I respect your opinion, I just ask if you respect mine. Cool?
Censor whom you like - after your one health scare earlier this year, it seems to ne that you don't need anything else to raise your blood pressure, and if keeping tabs of what other people are saying about you does that, then turn off the "Blogger Alert."
Digi,
If you choose NOT to censor, that's your call. I can respect that. If I choose TO censor, that's my call. Please respect that.
As far as my health is concerned... your absolutely right. I'm not going to let this...... individual.... get the best of me.
Lastly, concerning my blogger alert; why in the world should I cut it off? Most of the alerts I get are from bloggers that link to me bacause we all consider each other friends. Honestly, why would I cut that off because one individual has ordained himself to be the Catholic Blogoshperes "Caveman Watchdog"?
As Daddy Bush would say; ain't gunnuh due it.
(but I must admit... it is kinda nice having you posting here again)
Ok it's gonna take a schismatic to break this up: Sarge, just ignore him. If you personally took every single Norvy S. Hordo that writes about you, you'll send yourself to an early grave. I ignore the jobbers that take shots at me, you should do the same. Why do you care what they think?
I know both Sts. Nicholas and John Chrysostom were advocates of slappping heretics, but this is just silly. If you direcly respond to them it only emboldens them because it tells them that it works. Paul's right, life is too short. Or at least have PreVat2 of FAB act as buffers. This is their blog too aint it?
VSO,
Dude, we're all playing nice now!!! *G*
Well, sorta nice.
I do respect your decision to censor. IMHO, I don't think bloggers ought to, so I don't - what others do is their choice. As the song goes: "It's your thang - do what you wanna doooooooooooooooo . . ."
Okay, gotta run - time for my "Catholic Womyn of Ecumenical Power" committee meeting . . .
(joking . . . JOKING!!)
Cavey, how does one get "Blogger Alert"? I'm not finding this function on Blogger.
Anita,
Go to search.blogger.com
From there, type in the name of whatever blog you want to have alerts to (a quick sign-up procedure), and viola!
