So That's What A Toothless Dog Looks Like
The closed-mouth smile gave it away

"I feel good that he's there, but he never really scares anyone". That's what could be said of Washington, DC's Archbishop Donald Wuerl... famous for his giving silent consent for mass murderer Nancy "Butcher" Pelosi to receive Holy Communion within his Archdiocese. He's at it again.

From Life Site News;

Washington Archbishop Wuerl Speaks Again on Communion for Pro-Abortion Politicians

WASHINGTON, July 6, 2007 ( - In comments to the Washington Times, Archbishop Donald Wuerl has described himself as a "pastoral and spiritual" leader, and said that his job with Catholic politicians who oppose core Church teachings is to "teach" and "help them form a conscience."

"My primary responsibility is to teach and therefore to help every Catholic inform their conscience."

The article went on with;

The archbishop's actions, however, have already spoken for him. Earlier this year, Wuerl angered many when he raised no objections to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a vigorous supporter of abortion and opponent of Catholic teachings on life and family, receiving Communion at a Mass celebrated by notorious abortion campaigner, the late Fr. Robert Drinan.

Despite having been begged by pro-life leaders to address the issue, Wuerl told California Catholic Daily reporter Allyson Smith that "there was no reason to make any comment about" the incident. When asked directly if he would "discipline [Pelosi] at all" for her "persistent and obstinate" support for abortion, the Archbishop responded, "I will not be using the faculty in that, in the manner you have described."

When Smith asked if he would tell priests and deacons to refuse her Communion, the archbishop said, "You're talking about a whole different style of pastoral ministry. No thank you."

I'm so sickened by him, I can't bring myself to post any more of this article. And I'm being generous when I say that Archbishop Wuerl's a spineless, moral coward.

When he's judged one day, Archbishop Wuerl will have to face the souls of millions of tortured to death children. Those children will all scream to him "why didn't you do something?", then Christ will ask the same thing.

May God have mercy on your soul, Donald Wuerl.

Whew! Father Francis said, "teach always and if necessary use words."
Wuerl, your example says volumes.

How are you forming Catholic politicians conscience?--by giving them Communion when you know they are outwardly killing babies--guess that makes you their partner in crime--ouch! Wuerl, Pontius Pilate figured he could dissociate himself from the crime of killing an innocent man--Jesus--but he WAS responsible--he should have stood up for Jesus--said, NO, this is wrong--and not participated. Wuerl, you should stand up for Jesus, and at the Communion line say, NO, this is wrong and not give known baby killers Jesus.

I figured Wuerl would be no better than Cardinal McCarrick but he's fooled me. He's turning out to be worse.
