Hey, now, this might be the beginnings of a great journey back to her Faith. Why snipe? Pray for her instead, to make the journey back, and not just stop halfway.

When I first retired from the Marine Corps, I worked for a year as a Correctional Officer in a state prison. I've seen first-hand wgat a joke these "prison conversions" are.
Little Miss Paris couldn't have been more scripted and coached in her interview with Larry King.
There might be a charitable function or two she'll attend, but mark my words... just as soon as she gets a belly full of food, a nose full of coke and has boinked at least five guys, we'll all see the old Paris in her full glory.

St. Jimbob is on to something. What if Paris fails and we find out in the next life that she failed because we did not pray during her chance for new thinking.
Angelina Jolie changed for the better within the parameters of a non believer.
God flooded Judas with grace right at the end and that is why he threw the money back and wept but then he turned back to self and the self pity that is part of self and then as Chrysostom said, Judas did not finish his repentance by hoping in God's forgiveness and help and as a Jew, Judas should have known that God "delights in mercy" Micah 7:18.
Paris is in the midst of a test from God and she could well fail. Part and only part of that depends on we intercessors.

You ans Jimbob very well may be right. All I know is what I see. And all I've seen out of Lil' Miss Paris since she's been sprung was a rather rehearsed "interview" on national TV.
I know a scam artist when I see one.
Well nothing is stopping us from praying for her and there is a commercial showing her with Jenna Jamieson who is a porn star and is nominal Catholic and has very expensive Catholic oil paintings no less.
They both need our prayers but if Paris continues any friendship with Jamieson, her chances do get dimmer. But God's grace can knock both of them off their horse (their ego + their millions). Our job is to pray. Paul was worse than both of them since he says that he was the "chief of sinners"...."but for this reason did God have mercy: that in me first, he might show forth all patience." So God already showed forth all patience to the chief of sinners....so Paris and Jamieson are well within His range of mercy.

You have a strong argument on your side. You're right that we should pray for her conversion.... everyones conversion!
Let's just suffice it to say that I find Hilton... insincere... in her recent jailhouse conversion.
Personally, I find her to be a phony and she's using The Church (specifically, the Mass) to further her exposure on national TV.
Lets all hope I'm wrong and that the Holy Ghost actually did touch her soul.

odds are that you and bil are both correct: it's doubtful that Paris was sincere in her interview, but we should hope and pray that God catches hold of her anyway.
I suspect that she needs a conversion of the mind. Alas, given how much she actually uses that particular gift from God, I suspect a liver quiver conversion is about as much as we can reasonably expect.

The entire world knows that there is a mixed up contingent of partial Catholics. Our astronaut in diapers with the trench coat and duct tape sealed that deal if the priest sex abuse scandal didn't reach everyone on earth. Though I think the mudmen of Borneo are still unscandalized by us so far.
I didn't watch the interview but I saw blips and she did seem to be running a game and yet she's never been interviewed before in a serious? venue and so her worst forces may have come to the fore in panic and in self defense. Yet in jail she may have had authentic moments. Pharoah in Egypt softened to God's word under the duress of plagues and yet regressed and recovered his hardness of heart.
It's...(Paris changing)...certainly not a done deal but satan would be very pleased if we don't make a difference at this moment of Paris' life by prayer. Then the rest of the responsibility is hers.
I'm betting she combines the absurd with initiatives on behalf of some group...maybe ex prisoners.
She has Oprah and Jolie as templates...(charity work yet salary often coming from cooperation in sin as to shows or movies one is part of and what those shows communicate). For Paris to get beyond even that would require that she was close to someone holy and schooled in questions of cooperation in sin and I doubt that she knows one soul like that.
But again...Christ saying, "things that are impossible with men are possible with God." Which means our astronaut too could return to the way of justice and to her vow.
Well, I'll pray for her anyway. St. Mary of Egypt was that way once. It's ultimately up to her to answer the call to repentance, but I wont be shocked if she turns out like Herod's niece.
