Would A Saint's Name Be Too Much To Ask?
What... no Trent Institute?
Leave it to the Archdiocese of San Francisco. St Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park is home to The Vatican II Institute. Now I know that the name Sacred Heart is popular... so is Immaculate Mary... as is Our Lady, Help Of Christians, etc. .
But Catholicism has more Saints than you can shake a stick at. Couldn't the good folks there think up a better name than The Vatican II Institute for Continuing Formation? St Eoghan is up for grabs. Hows about good ol' St Dwynwen? Not even Pope St Zephyrinus? He's free... and I'll bet he'd be tickled pink to be patron and/or protector of something... ANYTHING!
C'mon guys, anythings better than The Vatican II Institute.
You know, now that I think of it, isn't the name taken suppose to be of the one who will be both Patron and Protector? How in the world could The Second Vatican Council possibly be a patron and/or protector of anything?
Ahhh... I see now. They must be talking about The Spirit of Vatican II!
Does that mean that St. Patrick's is where The Fruits of Vatican II come from?
As Dr. Evil says.... *while slowly nodding head* "riiiiiiiiight"

LOL!
Wondering if they celebrate a daily Traditional Latin Mass, or did the "Spirit of Vatican II" wash all that old, mean spirited stuff away?...I'd put a pay check on it that they have had, on at least one occasion, a Mass celebrated in the African Click language!
I know the place very well, having lived there for two years. And I can tell you that you're way off.
Your lack of charity is right on, though.
I've lived in the Bay Area, as well. I'm dead on target.
If your "lack of charity" comment is suppose to make an impact upon me, you're way off. I could actually give a shit less for your opinion.
Have a happy day.
