Something Foul Is Afoot In Red Springs!
Or as The Bard would say - "something's rotten in Robeson County"

WARNING! Harsh Language Alert.

Alas, poor Father Ospina I knew him well. No... really. I know Father Ospina. I've had a couple of "disagreements" shall we say, with him in the past, but I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Well, there are a few (OK, a lot) that I would wish this on, but not good ol' Father Ospina.

Here's some of the article from The Fayetteville (NC) Observer; (Emphasis and comments mine.)

Red Springs parishioners lock out priest in protest

RED SPRINGS - A large group of parishioners of the Iglesia Catolica San Andres padlocked their pastor out of the church Sunday morning to protest his continued assignment to the Spanish-speaking Catholic community of Robeson County.
(Any specifics as to why they were muy PO'd at Father? Read on.)

Father Walter Ospina, who is 33, tried to enter San Andres, or St. Andrew Catholic Church, by a side entrance before morning Mass.

In addition to the lock that had been bolted outside the side door, a sign on the glass read, "Iglesia Cerrada hasta que tengamos nuevo parroco. Justicia!!" That loosely translates to "Church closed until we have a new priest. Justice!"
(Now I'm just a college edjumacated retired Gyreen, but this has all the signs of a direct challenge to the Bishop of Raleigh. Just my opinion.)

The protesters, who numbered about 150, then swarmed around the priest, many of them holding signs. "We don't want a priest that mistreat(s) a community!" one poster said. (150 people "swarming" one man? Isn't that called "assault"? I'd still like to know what kind of mistreatment he's foisted upon this community of Ecclesiastical Zapatistas.)

Ospina has served as priest of the Red Springs church for about a year, and he also delivered the Spanish Mass at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lumberton and the missionary station of St. Andrew in St. Pauls. (Sounds to me like an obedient and hard working priest.)

Many of the Hispanics who attend San Andres feel betrayed by this man of the cloth. (Yet again --- How?)

They say he fails to embrace his Mexican parishioners, a flock of lower-income people who, in many cases, have made their way into this country illegally. They say he is aloof and sarcastic to them. (Damn it! Whose ass do I have to kick to get some friggin' specifics, here!? Oh, and they came here illegally? Charming. And by the way... as the article so eruditely points out, MANY OF THEM ARE HERE ILLEGALLY! I do believe the official teaching of The Catholic Church says something about that. Enough of the pew based pandering. These 150 thugs can go pound sand. This isn't Chiapas... this isn't Oaxaca. This is America. To hell with calling in the police department, call in a half dozen INS agents armed with a sack fulla flex-cuffs and a surly attitude.)

They say he is not a man of the people. (IE: a vocal proponent of illegal immigration/social worker, just with better livery. Oh, and that "Jesus" stuff is kinda-sorta importante, tambien.)

An allegation also has been made that the priest has acted inappropriately. St. Paul's Police Chief Tommy Hagens said Sunday the Robeson County District Attorney's Office is looking into an allegation. (*Sigh* So what exactly was so damn "inappropriate'? Possibly his acting aloof and sarcastic? Hang him high! After all... no self-loathing, wrist-wringing, limousine liberal is complete without murmuring the mantra that's become the 11th Commandment: Thou Shalt Kiss Illegal Alien Ass.)

No charges have been filed against Ospina, who, on Sunday, denied doing anything wrong. (How nice to see the Napoleonic Code hasn't been implemented... yet. By the way, "charges"? In this day and age, even a whiff of sexual misconduct involving a Catholic priest, and said priest is indicted posthaste. That hasn't happened. In other words, Father Ospina hasn't done shit wrong.)

The Raleigh Diocese "has no reason to remove Ospina, who will remain pastor of St. Andrew in Red Springs," said spokesman Frank Morock. (Well I should hope to hell not. Now we come to that point in time called "where the rubber meets the road". For years now I've had to listen to all this bullshit emanating from the halls of the USCCB about "comprehensive immigration reform". I reiterate - bullshit. The only thing that needs reforming is the civil will to enforce the laws of this country, and the hierarchical will to enforce the CCC. Specifically 2241. You know, that whole "Political authorities, for the sake of the common good for which they are responsible, may make the exercise of the right to immigrate subject to various juridical conditions, especially with regard to the immigrants' duties toward their country of adoption. Immigrants are obliged to respect with gratitude the material and spiritual heritage of the country that receives them, to obey its laws and to assist in carrying civic burdens." thing. Oh, and those that don't are in a state of sin. Says who? The Catechism, that's who.)

On Sunday, Ospina clutched a Bible to his heart and toted a travel suit bag after coming down the steps of the locked side door. He conferred briefly with the church secretary and a church official.

"What's the problem?" he asked the parishioners standing before him.

"It's a protest," said 25-year-old Maria Perez, who said she has been attending the church for about 14 years.
("Protest" my ass. This is thuggery in the first degree.)

Red Springs police officer Darron Sutton arrived at the church, responding to a call that somebody was blocking the parking lot. He approached Ospina as the confrontation started to get heated.

Alfonso Arroyo, 52, angrily defended the priest.

"I'm the priest in charge," Ospina told Sutton. "I have a right to get in my church. They have the right to not go in."

He then turned and faced the members of his church, telling them to calm down.

Ospina replaced Father Carlos Arce, who was beloved by the members of Iglesia Catolica San Andres. Arce openly operated as an advocate for the Hispanic community.
(Ahhh... the picture gets much clearer now.)

As for Ospina, Julio Sanchez said, "He doesn't make time for us. All we want is a father who is for us. We never had problem(s) until he comes to us." (You mean when you came here illegally, Julio? Excuse me while I give a rat's ass less about your pissing and moaning. What the hell kind of Catholic are you anyways? Locking a priest out of his own church. In every definition of each word - SHAME on every single one of you and your mob of punks and thugs, Julio. And never mind the fact that Fr. Opsina "doesn't have time" for you. Yeah... he only has three parishes to serve. How thoughtless. WHOA! Wait a sec... possibly Julio's pissed because Fr. Ospina "doesn't have time" to lobby to keep Julio's sorry ass in this country illegally. I'll bet that's it.)

Sanchez, who is 27, has attended the church for nearly 15 years. (Yeah... he's been here long enough to know that most White folks will shake and quiver at the mere threat of being accused of racism.)

About 20 minutes after the 10:30 Mass should have started, Sutton escorted the priest to his car. Ospina wanted to stay and worship with his loyal parishioners, Sutton said, but the police officer asked him to leave out of concern for his safety. (Is it just me, or does this sound like how priests were treated during the French Revolution? I wonder what would have happened to Father Ospina if the police officer never showed up? I wonder if Father Ospina is even residing in his own rectory?)

"They tried this before," Arroyo said through a translator. "They had a small meeting and tried to get him out of the church." (Something along the lines of "Bishop? We don' need no stinkin' bishop!)

At noon, some of the protesters were still milling around, talking to one another. (Bilingually? Prolly not.)

"I hope and I pray to God," Perez said, "we get another priest." (or we'll intimidate him (and the bishop) until we get our way.)
Speaking of the rubber meeting the road, this little episode has far reaching consequences. Who'll win out? Pew based pandering or rightfully defending one of your own priests? "Comprehensive immigration reform" (IE: kissing the collective asses of a buch of law breakers), or offering up the hide of a loyal priest?

Update On The Father Ospina Persecution
What's the undercarriage of a bus look like, Father Ospina?

Harsh Language Alert. If harsh language offends you, don't read this posting. And yes... I'm REALLY pissed off.

The plot sickens. If you're unfamiliar with what's going on here, just scroll down a post or two.

Anyhow, here's some of the article from The Fayetteville Observer (NC); (Emphasis mine)

When asked about the possibility of parishioners trying to bar Ospina's entry again, [spokesman for the Raleigh Diocese, Frank] Morock said, "We hope that they will" allow him to enter his church.WHAT!? Who in the hell is in charge around here? I happen to know personally of a different priest in this deanery that openly preaches heresy and disobedience, and diddly squat has happened. As much as I disagree with a certain priest within my own grid square, I would never dream of locking him out of his own church or physically threatening him... even if this guy doesn't even believe in his own priesthood, but that's another story.

But these friggin' CRIMINALS down in Red Springs lock a loyal and faithful priest out of his own church, and the best we can count on from the diocesan spokesman is "we hope that they will"? This is BULLSHIT! And yes, I'm pissed. If you can imagine the anger in my voice as you read this, then good. I''ve accomplished what I've set out to do.

Anyhow, has anyone ever heard of the RICO Act? If anyone forgot or is unfamiliar with, it's my understanding that the RICO Act is an anti-organized crime law that can (among other things) prosecute mobsters who forcibly restrict individuals or groups from their legal and rightful place of work so illegal activity can take place there instead. It was a bastardization of the RICO Act that the abortion butchers used against pro-life protesters whenever there was a prayer vigil in front of any given abortuary.

And it's bad enough that this gang of thugs have kept this priest from his rightful place of work... but now we have this mealy mouthed, gutless "statement" from the Diocese? "Hope they will...", my ass.

You gotta be shittin' me. Damn it... I am so PISSED OFF over this! You know, I know of a family here in the Wilmington area who didn't see eye-to-eye with Fr. Ospina on a number of issues, and even they say that what's happening to Fr. Ospina is wrong. And you know, this isn't *just about* Father Ospina. It's about every Catholic priest in this diocese. We're at a crossroads here. If these hoodlums are further placated, count on it being open season here on Catholic priests. Anyone with the slightest disagreement or imagined slight will take it upon themselves to barricade themselves in the local parish. Imagine Martin Luther meets Che Guevara.

If anyone honestly believes these illegals, who have already proven that they have no intention of following the laws of this country, are somehow magically going to follow the laws of The Church... their living in a Pollyanna dream world. You folks just keep on playing The Glad Game.

Maybe now they'll realize that the reward for years of kissing illegals asses will be the very real eventuality of being bit dead on the ass yourself. It may take weeks, months, even years. But it'll happen.

There's only one sure-fire way to deal with incorrigible, snotty brats - a good, old fashioned taking-behind-the-woodshed-and-blister-their-asses session. Case in point: The Diocese of Raleigh. The gauntlet's been thrown down, now we'll see if that crosier is just a decorative accessory or if it serves a useful purpose.

I'll keep you posted.

"Former" Deacon Speaks?
The plot sickens

THIS IS GETTING INTERESTING.

If you thought the drama at St. Andrew's parish in Red Springs, NC was over, guess again. If anything, there are even more questions than before. And my gut reaction is that something here stinks.

Here's what's up - I've been doing separate news and general web searches every day since this public act of defiance against Bishop Burbidge came to light almost a week ago.

WRAL (Raleigh, NC) has just ran a slideshow of the yelling and screaming session outside of St. Andrew's after Msgr. Brockman delivered a personal message from His Excellency last Wednesday (the entire slideshow of twenty one images can be found here). Below are two of six images of one certain individual --

This individual, Alexander Vincent, is prominent in six of the twenty one images on WRAL's slideshow. WRAL certainly gives a lot of lens time to just one individual. I wonder why? And why is it HIM that's doing all the "explaining"?

But anyhow, WRAL identifies this individual as a "former deacon". Really? So, I decided to take a gander at the Diocesan website for the Permanent Diaconate. I found a listing (dated 09/12/08) of the 16 men who have began their studies, and as now considered "candidates" for the Permanent Diaconate.

And guess what name I came across?

Juan Alexander Vincent-Martínez.Same person? Could be. I'm not 100% certain. But the chances of these being two different men are pretty slim.

So I scrolled down the page a bit more... lo and behold, I see a group picture.

Did you happen to see who's directly behind and at the left hand of the Bishop? Same person? I'm not 100% certain. But the chances of these being two different men are now rapidly approaching astronomical proportions.

And in light that the P.D. is a five-year program, and Bishop Burbidge has been here LESS than five years... if this is the same individual... how could he even be a Deacon already, much less a "former" Deacon?

Something else to consider -- Father Ospina serves three different parishes: St. Andrew's in Red Springs; the missionary station of St. Andrew in St. Pauls; and he celebrates the Spanish Novus Ordo Missae at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Lumberton. So why is there a challenge to the Bishop through Father Ospina only at St. Andrew's?

Like I said at the beginning of this post... something stinks.

BISHOP BURBIDGE PLEASE DO SOMETHING PUBLIC TO CORRECT THIS SCANDAL

Alright, as if it needed to be said, I am absolutely infuriated at the attacks being directed against Fr. Ospina in Red Springs, North Carolina. And for the record, I fail to see how any person could think of themselves as truly Catholic and not be equally angered by the reports Caveman posted below.

This situation has become a public scandal and it requires a public response from the only person who has the authority to remedy this situation under the laws of the Church. Bishop Burbidge must come down hard on this. The Church cannot treat these people as your average run of the mill Modernists. This isn't the St. Francis of Assisi (Raleigh), St. Mary's (Wilmington), St. Mark's (Wilmington), etc. parish type situation. Those places are long gone anyway and the Bishop has apparently written them off as un-salvageable. It is well known to all Catholics of the diocese that you should avoid those locations as much as possible in order to avoid heresy and the possibility of losing your faith.

HOWEVER, the Fr. Ospina situation was an open and notorious assault on a good and holy priest. It is one thing for Modernist clerics to invent a religion and mislead lay Catholics away from the Catholic faith. This has been going on for 40 years and is what has happened at most parishes throughout the country, not just the three mentioned above. And it is one thing for a Modernist Bishop to persecute good and holy orthodox priests. This has been going on in all but maybe one or two US dioceses throughout the last forty years, and it is what happened in the Diocese of Raleigh from about 1975 until about 2005.

However, it is quite another thing when the Modernists attempt to lay claim to diocesan property and presume to have the authority to determine who the Bishop shall place in any particular parish. While the two situations summarized above are evil and unjust situations, and are definitely examples of how the "smoke of Satan" has entered the Church, they nonetheless are situations brought on by the institutional Church and not in spite of the institutional Church. The latter situation affecting Fr. Ospina not only encompasses the evil and unjustness of the prior two situations, but it is an open attack on the institutional Church. It is something straight out of "Reformation" England, Revolutionary France, Hugo Chavez Venezuela, etc.

If the Church as an institution is going to survive in the United States over the course of the next twenty years then it needs to begin asserting itself and go on the offensive when it is attacked in such a public way. In short, no less than severe censures are warranted for those individuals who perpetrated this riot. In fact, the Code of Canon Law requires that our Bishop do as much. See below for some applicable code provisions and pick and choose which ones you think apply in this situation. I reviewed the list below and see at least three which apply.

My Public Mea Culpa
Retraction and clarification

A couple of days ago, I posted and commented on an article from The Fayetteville Observer where they quoted the spokesman of the Diocese of Raleigh, Frank Morock. The Fayetteville Observer printed the following;
When asked about the possibility of parishioners trying to bar Ospina's entry again, [spokesman for the Raleigh Diocese, Frank] Morock said, "We hope that they will" allow him to enter his church. It has since come to my attention that Frank Morock never said such a thing. The source of this information is unimpeachable... period.

I'll admit that I came down pretty hard on Frank Morock for what was printed in The Fayetteville Observer. With that said, in light of the information that I've just received, I publicly and sincerely retract what I've posted that was erroneously attributed to him by T.F.O.

I also publicly and sincerely apologize to Frank Morock for any stain on his reputation that may have been caused by my comments in regards to the erroneous quote in T.F.O.

What's right is right. Frank Morock deserves the same level of consideration that I believe we all deserve. Especially in light that he's done nothing wrong and was lied about.

There, it's done. I've had the 'nads to set the record straight. Let's hope that The Fayetteville Observer does the same.

A Tale Of Two News Articles
♪♪ One of these articles is not like the other! ♪♪

Below is just a sliver of an article in regards to Bishop Edward J. Slattery of Tulsa, and after that, an article from the Wilmington Red Star, oops, Star News;
Bishop of Tulsa "turns his back on the people" during Mass

TULSA, Okla. (CNS) -- When he celebrates Mass at Tulsa's Holy Family Cathedral, Bishop Edward J. Slattery of Tulsa now faces the crucifix on the altar with his back to the congregation.

He has restored the liturgical practice, called "ad orientem," because he said it reflects "a more authentic Catholic worship."

The bishop, writing in the September issue of Tulsa's monthly diocesan magazine, Eastern Oklahoma Catholic, said the liturgical practice, largely abandoned in the 1960s, demonstrates how the priest and the congregation share in the act of worship.

"In the past 40 years," he wrote, "this shared orientation was lost; now the priest and the people have become accustomed to facing in opposite directions. The priest faces the people while the people face the priest, even though the Eucharistic prayer is directed to the Father and not to the people."
Keep in mind that the alleged reporter of this next article is suppose to get all of her info from the Diocesan Director of Communications (and however he authorizes on behalf of the Bishop to provide info), I may be wrong, but I get the distinct impression that someone just may have somehow interjected their own 2¢ worth. But I may be wrong.

THE DIVINE DIVA: Regular traditional Latin Masses to be hosted at St. Mary

by Amanda Greene

Something sort of unusual is coming to Wilmington’s Catholic community this weekend - diocese-approved traditional Latin Masses or the Tridentine Mass. The Tridentine Mass was the service used in the Catholic church for 1,500 years before the Second Vatican Council (and what an objective website THIS is!) when the pope introduced a new Mass in the vernacular. Learn more about the Tridentine Mass here. The first of a series of monthly Tridentine Masses is at 7 p.m. Aug. 30 at St. Mary Catholic Church on the corner of fifth and Ann streets.

I say sort of because Latin Masses have been hosted in Catholic churches here intermittently for years, but they were usually said by priests outside the Diocese of Raleigh. And this is the first time it’s been approved by the bishop of the Diocese of Raleigh, Bishop Michael Burbidge. St Mary is merely hosting the diocesan-sponsored event.

A little background.
“On July, 7, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI released an Apostolic Letter, accompanied by a letter to all Bishops of the world, noting the Church has two forms of celebration of the Mass; the Mass in the local language and the “extraordinary form of celebration” known as the Tridentine Mass,” wrote Frank Morock, the press liaison for the diocese. “He requested that all dioceses provide opportunities for the faithful, where possible, by September 14 2007. Bishop Michael F. Burbidge implemented the Holy Father’s request on that day at a Mass celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Dunn, by Father Paul Parkerson, pastor of the church. Bishop Burbidge was the homilist.”St. Mary will be the fifth parish where the Mass is regularly celebrated in the diocese. Here are the other parishes: Sacred Heart Cathedral in Raleigh, Sacred Heart Church in Dunn, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rocky Mount and St. Bernadette Church in Fuquay-Varina.

Parkerson is the officiant for Wilmington’s Tridentine Masses, though Father Walter Ospina celebrated the Latin Mass at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wrightsville Beach before he was transferred last year. There are only five priests in the diocese who are trained to celebrate the Tridentine Mass. Parkerson did not return calls this week about the Masses.

The Latin Mass has garnered controversy with some groups who call some parts of it anti-Semitic, including a prayer for the conversion of the Jews.
Pope Benedict XVI has rebuked those fears publicly saying that the vernacular Masses will continue to be the main form of liturgical celebration for most Catholics.

UPDATE!!

I just received a comment on this posting, and it's way too good to stay just in the ComBox;

Adeodatus49 said...

Greene doesn't know what she's talking about. Why am I not surprised? She is probably somebody's mouthpiece.

The Tridentine Mass is not 1,500 years old. In the 16th Century, Pope St. Pius V decided to standardize the normative liturgy of the Church which had experienced multifarious uses over time, and in some cases became subject to liturgical abuse.

What came down as the Mass of Pope St. Pius V, known colloquially (and sometimes erroneously) as the Tridentine Latin Mass, was the very ascetic and "nobly" simple Mass of the Roman Curia which, by tradition, goes back to Pope St. Peter. St. Pius embellished it with elements from the Gallican liturgies. One example of embellishment is the Gloria which in the Byzantine East is recited during Great Compline, the night prayer during for eves of major feasts and Sunday celebrations.

Another thing she messed up on. Greene stated that the modern mass, i.e., the Ordinary Form, is the the form that is said in the vernacular. The official version of the N.O.M is LATIN, not any of the vernaculars of the world today. It can be said in Latin which would have the advantage of by-passing the inadequate English translation of the old ICEL. So the "Latin Mass" could very well be the Mass of Pope Paul VI as amended since 1970 or the Mass of Pope St. Pius V, as amended down through the Roman Missal of 1962. Greene should have been specific and careful when talking about the Catholic mass.

Folks, this is Catholicism 101. Even a mouthpiece ought to get this right, unless of course there is another agenda going on.

Another GROSS error which borders on slander is the prayers for the conversion of Jews. It is not found in the mass, but in the traditional Good Friday liturgy which is a pre-sanctified liturgy (ask the Orthodox about this liturgy--it is attributed traditionally to Pope St. Gregory the Great whom the East calls the Dialogos.).

I agree with Pope Paul VI in modifying this prayer so as not to give undue offense to the Jews. The term "perfidious" merely means faithless (strictly vis-a-vis Jesus Christ the Lord), but does not mean that Jews do not believe in God. Also, "perfidious" has an awful sound to it (IMHO) just as the terms: rapist, child molester, etc. So if we are to use these terms, we must really mean them and they must be true.

That said, we must still pray for the Jews because Jesus Himself said "Unless you are born of water and the Spirit, you shall not enter the Kingdom of God." Water Baptism is the ordinarily necessary means of salvation. This has been Divinely revealed to the Church by Jesus Christ through sacred scripture, and it therefore a Dogma of the Faith.

The Latin Mass according to the Roman Missal of 1962 ought to be said in every parish Church, not just in special Churches. It is up to the laity to make this happen. According to Summorum Pontificum, all that is needed is a "stable" group of laity to make the request. The bishop has to comply.

Ooops! Another long post. This one struck a sensitive nerve in me. LOL

Father Walter Ospina will celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of The Mass according to the 1962 Missal (Traditional Latin Mass) at St Therese's Catholic Church, Wrightsville Beach (greater Wilmington), NC at 3:30, Sunday December 2, 2007.

St. Therese's is located at 207 S Lumina Ave. (map to St. Therese's, click here)

And speaking of The Catholic Church in the Land of Dixie, check out this article entitled Catholicism and the Old South. Take my word for it... it's fascinating.

On a personal note, even though this parish is located on the beach, please remember that our outward appearance is a direct reflection of our inward disposition to The Lord. In other words, no purposfully dressing-down. No one is expected to show up in $2,000 duds, but we should always wear our best in God's House.

See ya at Mass!!

Who's The REAL Target...
And who's just collateral damage?

I'm quickly coming to the opinion that this isn't just about a certain priest, as it is about a certain bishop. From the Diocese of Raleigh website, dated 06/15/09, I found an article entitled Fourteen Diaconate Candidates Instituted into Ministry of Acolyte. And guess what name I stumbled across? You guessed it --
Juan Alexander Vicent-Martínez.

Is one of the individuals in the above images the same individual in the posting I did just a few hours ago? (seen below with the same news caption that I posted earlier today)

Same person? I'm not 100% certain. But the chances of these being two different men are now within the realm of incalculable proportions. But if I'm wrong, I'll readily admit it and apologize for such.

But if I'm not... well, keep checking back to The Lair. You'll see.

And in the Oh-By-The-Way file, from the article referenced at the beginning of this post, here's some of what His Excellency made to the Deacon candidates; (snarky comments mine - oh, if the Bishop would just let me pen his sermons.) Extending congratulations to the Deacon candidates and their families, Bishop Burbidge added, “We pray that through the intercession of Mary our Mother, Saint Anthony of Padua and Saint John Vianney (and to some, Martin Luther), you will lose yourselves to the Providence of God; be men of prayer filled with Eucharistic amazement (while some 'explain' why The Eucharist was illegally padlocked away in one of our parishes), and ambassadors of Christ who bring Him to others and assure the most needy in our midst that the Lord is always there to carry us!” (Life goes on. A man becomes preeminent, he's expected to have enthusiasms. Enthusiasms! Enthusiasms... what are mine? What draws my admiration? What is that which gives me joy? Baseball! A man stands alone at the plate. This is the time for what? For individual achievement. There he stands alone. But in the field, what? Part of a team. Teamwork.... Looks, throws, catches, hustles - part of one big team. Bats himself the live-long day, Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, and so on. If his team don't field, what is he? You follow me? No one! Sunny day, the stands are full of fans. What does he have to say? "I'm goin' out there for myself. But... I get nowhere unless the team wins.")
Click here to see where the quote is from. And no, I'm not advocating violence in this case... I just dig the creative way that particular piece of athletic equipment is used as a club.
Am I the only one who is under the impression that someone in the congregation wasn't paying attention? Either that, or doesn't really give a damn what the Bishop says.

What do you think?
