Were The Japanese Warned About Fat Man & Little Boy?

Commentary

Quite a stir has been raised my recent commentary (from this Catholic's perspective) on the upcoming anniversary of the atomic bombings of Japan. I've been accused by some of advocating indiscriminate killing, to murder, to racism.

I'll counter the hysterical with the historical.

Many of those of my own Faith who disagree with me have cited 2314 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church as to why they believe I'm in error.

To wit: 2314 "Every act of war directed to the indiscriminate destruction of whole cities or vast areas with their inhabitants is a crime against God and man, which merits firm and unequivocal condemnation."110 A danger of modern warfare is that it provides the opportunity to those who possess modern scientific weapons especially atomic, biological, or chemical weapons - to commit such crimes. The key word here is "indiscriminate". As I will prove in this commentary, Hiroshima and Nagasaki simply weren't indiscriminately destroyed cities, but valid military targets. Read more...

One Of My Favorite Movie Quotes

Husdon in Aliens could pass for your average Marine Lance Coporal present day -- Confident to the point of cocky; ready to fight at a moments notice, no reason really required.

The last sentence is priceless.

I'm ready, man, check it out. I am the ultimate badass! State of the badass art! You do NOT wanna **** with me!! Check it out! Hey Ripley, don't worry. Me and my squad of ultimate badasses will protect you! Check it out! Independently targeting particle beam phalanx. Vwap!! Fry half a city with this puppy.

Atomic Bombing of Japan
Can Catholics say it was moral?

In just a handful of days, it will be 65 years since we dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima, Japan. So to answer the above question, without a doubt, I say yes.

Here's some of my rationale;
1. In an invasion of the Home Islands, U.S. KIA estimates were approx 1,000,000.

2. In an invasion of the Home Islands, British Commonwealth KIA estimates were approx 1,000,000.

3. In an invasion of the Home Islands, Japanese civilian deaths from famine alone were estimated at approx 5,000,000.

State Department to field private army?

McClatchy Newspapers has published an article detailing the planned quasi-army that will answer directly to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

According to the article, the State Department is laying plans to do precisely that in Iraq, in an unprecedented experiment that U.S. officials and some nervous lawmakers say could be risky.

In little more than a year, State Department contractors in Iraq could be driving armored vehicles, flying aircraft, operating surveillance systems, even retrieving casualties if there are violent incidents and disposing of unexploded ordnance.

Russian cleric praises Pope Benedict, slams Protestants

Pope Benedict has been called "The Pope of Christian Unity", but the high praise from Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill of Moscow has surprised more than a few church-watchers throughout Europe.

In an interview with Ukrainian reporters, Kirill said, "I must say that the stance of incumbent Pope Benedict XVI gives rise to optimism." He went on to say that His Holiness is often attacked by "liberal theologians and liberal mass media in the West."

There has been a question of Kirill meant the so-called "progressive" Catholics in North America and Western Europe who attack with a special fervor anything Catholic with even a hint of tradition or orthodoxy associated with it.

I Have Not Yet Begun To (Food) Fight
"It will all be a part of the fight against militants."

CNN International Correspondent Reza Sayah has a novel notion when it comes to fighting Islamo-Fascism... Pakistani mangoes. What set the stage for Sayah, was during a state dinner with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, Clinton was served a mango dessert. From there it was all mangoes, all the time.

Not only were the tangy Pakgoes brought up during a journalist round table discussion, but also at a press conference with Pakistan's foreign minister.

The clincher in Clinton's Mangifera-Diplomacy, was her telling a townhall meeting in Islamabad, "We'll get a lot of people hooked on Pakistani mangoes." There was no mention of those hooked on opium from neighboring Afghanistan.

47 of the 50 states have lost jobs since Oba-Spendulus went into effect

Rep. Dave Camp (R-MI), ranking member on the powerful House Ways & Means Committee, has placed on the official Ways & Means website conflicting statistics in regards to jobs "saved or created" as touted by the Obama Administration, and the stats as provided by the Department of Labor.

Barack Hussein Obama claims that every single state as well as Washington, DC have had employment growth. From as few as 6,000 jobs in Wyoming to 357,000 in California.

But the Dept. of Labor begs to differ. Using Wyoming and California as examples, Wyoming actually lost 9,900 jobs, and California lost 520,200.

Please remember Seminarian Philip G. Johnson in your prayers

Former Naval Officer and current Seminarian from the Diocese of Raleigh, Philip Gerard Johnson, is currently in Lourdes, France.

As I have published before, Philip has inoperable brain cancer.

His moral and spiritual courage is inspiring to the point of affecting my own Catholicism, as weak and puny as it is... especially when compared to the pillar of strength that the Reverend Mister Johnson is.

His is the stuff Saints are made of.

In a recently released Gallup poll, Barack Hussein Obama is below the 50% margin in regards to his job approval in 35 out of the 50 states.

These results are based on data from the first half of 2010, and includes interviews with more than 90,000 adults nationwide.

I Thought it was just the Mexicans we were bigoted against?

The prevailing politically correct wind blowing tells us all that states like Arizona and Rhode Island (well, maybe not so much in Democrat controlled Little Rhodie) are "bigots and "racists" for doing the immigration job that the last two administrations have failed to do.

Obviously, the accusations stem from the lion's share of arrests and deportations being that of illegal Mexicans in the United States. When 12-20 million of your run-of-the-mill lawbreakers come from one certain nation, they kind of get all the attention.

And without fail... the charges of "bigot", "racist" and cries of "why don't you go after White people?" get tossed about.

Well, there are White illegals in this country, and they feel the pain, too.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, there are upwards of 50,000 illegal Irish in America. And they're whining about mean ol' America not being nice to them.

So why isn't Obama going after San Francisco?

Supporters of both illegal immigration as well as Barack Hussein Obama have rallied behind the latest catch phrase in the Obama Administrations lawsuit against the State of Arizona: Immigration is under the purview of the federal government and that Arizona has overstepped its bounds.

Oh Really?

Here is a listing of towns, cities and counties that have declared themselves "sanctuaries" for law-breaking illegal aliens.

Dare To Ask Why

Why did the Bush Administration look the other way when certain municipalities chose to undermine Federal law? Why is Obama suing Arizona for the alleged crime of actually doing what the Feds refuse to do?

Anglican Bishops to become Nuns?

That's right... England's Anglican bishops very well may be able to become nuns.

Liberals attack mentally handicapped children - media yawns

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane recently caused a stir when a character with Downs Syndrome said that her mother was "the former Governor of Alaska."

Liberals everywhere howled with laughter at the swipe not only at Sarah Palin, but more directly, a swipe aimed at 2-year-old Trig Palin, who was born with Downs Syndrome.

Don't look now, but MacFarland and composer Walter Murphy have earned a Grammy nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

Violence against Illegal Aliens By
... Cesar Chavez & the UFW Union?

Much political hay has been made just a few years ago concerning the "racist and bigoted" Minutemen who wanted to do the job the Federal government failed to do. As of late in regards to the "racist and bigoted" Arizona Governor Jan Brewer and SB-1070 who want to do the job the Federal government fails to do.

But one inconvenient fact that the pro-illegal alien mob leaves out, is that neither the Minutemen nor Jan Brewer ever beat anyone to a bloody mess. Can the same be said of César Chávez and the United Farm Workers union?

More 'Progressive and Enlightened' Catholicism from the Diocese of Raleigh

Summer is the time for priestly reassignments. And one of those will be the transfer of Father Joseph "Joe" Vetter from the Duke University Campus Ministry to St. Therese's in Wrightsville Beach, NC

And Father Joe brings a wealth of progressive and enlightened attitudes to the upscale tourist town that can only come from years of being entrenched in an atmosphere of political correctness, moral relativism and painting every Church doctrine and dogma in various shades of gray.

In February, 2009, the McClatchy Newspapers ran an article in regards to the Diocese of Raleigh instituting the Courage Apostolate for those afflicted with homosexuality, that they may remain faithful to the Church by living a celibate lifestyle, and in turn, refuse to ever again participate in the intrinsic evil that is the homosexual act.

The Diocese of Raleigh's Anti-Catholic Self Loathing

The Diocese of Raleigh, NC has quite the interesting training session for one of its diocesan high school teachers.

Specifically, to attend a teacher training session created by the same organization (the Anti-Defamation League) that has repeatedly stated in none too subtle fashion that Venerable Pope Pius XII did nothing to help European Jews during World War II.

From the Diocese of Raleigh's website (in part); (Emphasis mine)

Mark DeLaRosa, a teacher of Theology and Catholic History at Cardinal Gibbons High School, will be spending a week during the month of July in Israel as a participant in the Bearing Witness Advanced Program for studying the Holocaust and the history of anti-Semitism. Mr. DeLaRosa, who studied last summer in Washington, D.C. at the Bearing Witness Regional program, was among 20 men and women chosen for the Advanced Program by the Jewish Anti-Defamation League (ADL) in partnership with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), National Catholic Education Association (NCEA), the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.

The Bearing Witness Program is a professional development opportunity for Catholic school educators, created in 1996 by the ADL.

The (Continued) Sodomite infestation of Catholic Seminaries

Not exactly renown for being one of the most objective publications toward Catholicism, nonetheless, Newsweek magazine has a fairly objective article on the homosexualization of Catholic seminaries.

In regards to one of the most prestigious seminaries in the United States, Newsweek states; St. John's Seminary... of Camarillo, Calif., may be one of the country's gayest facilities for higher education.

Depending on whom you ask, gay and bisexual men make up anywhere from 30 percent to 70 percent of the student body at the college and graduate levels. "I don't want people to think that in a negative way," says a 28-year-old gay alumnus, who believes all seminarians there are chaste, regardless of orientation. "It isn't like Christopher Street or West Hollywood. But some seminarians are gay, openly gay, and very loud about it."

Do Catholics worship the same "God" as Moslems?

The simple answer -- no we don't.

This isn't an insult or attack on the followers of the false-prophet Mohammad (and yes, from the Catholic perspective, he's a false prophet). I'm just stating a theological fact.

Many Catholics who look favorably on the Moslem sect point to 841 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church;
841 The Church's relationship with the Muslims. "The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day."Please click here for the rest of the article.

Would Kagan ban the Catholic Church from Harvard Law School?

Elena Kagan must a fan of the movie Dodgeball. She certainly knows the Five D's of Dodgeball: dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.

In a portion of the hearings that was largely ignored by the mainstream media, when asked if Harvard Law School would ban recruiters from the Catholic Church due to Catholicisms male-only priesthood, Kagan deftly danced around giving a straight answer, instead relying on verbal gymnastics.

Perverted "Catechism" in Belgium

WARNING! Sexually explicit descriptions are used in this article. But the words are from a so-called "Catholic Catechism"

The Belgian police don't have to look any further than the alleged catechism that the Belgian Bishops have published for proof of exactly how Catholicism in that nation has been perverted and attempted to be destroyed from within.

Catholic member of the Belgian Parliament, Alexandra Colen, has written that because of this "perverted little catechism," "Hundreds of children who were not raped physically were molested spiritually during the catechism lessons."

LifeSiteNews.com has obtained a copy of the text, which includes a drawing of a naked infant girl, captioned to show her saying, "Stroking my pussy makes me feel groovy," "I like to take my knickers off with friends," and "I want to be in the room when mum and dad have sex." The illustration also shows a naked little boy and girl "playing doctor." The little boy says, "Look, my willy is big."

Homosexual-Serenaded Bishop calls for new Ecumenical, Gay-Friendly "Vatican Council"
Vatican III?

On the heels of essentially calling for a "Vatican III" council that would not only include heretics and pagans as active participants, it would also re-examine Catholicisms view of Sodomy.

It's interesting to note that his call was the precursor to the retired bishop of Sacramento, California, Francis Quinn being serenaded by the Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus at a gala honoring him.

In reference to a recent interview with the publication Inside East Sacramento, "Pointing to the dramatic changes made within the Catholic Church by Vatican II, Quinn asserts that it is time for a new council, this one dedicated to looking at human sexuality and its intersection with religion."

The notoriously liberal bishop went on to say, "The new council, he says, should involve the entire Catholic community as well as people of other faiths."

New Oba-Tax on Amputee Vets

Barack Obama and the Democrats in the Senate have ensured that disabled vets have one less reason to feel pride in a less-than-grateful nation this upcoming 4th of July.

The Senate recently voted in favor of a new tax on prosthetic limbs and other needed medical equipment.

The Oba-Care bill has a new tax on prosthetic limbs, pacemakers, and wheelchairs. This tax will supposedly pump $20 billion into the Obama Health Care scheme, yet there are no exemptions for the nation's military veterans.

More to the point, Democrats specifically refused to have any exemptions at all for disabled vets.
