Homosexual-Serenaded Bishop calls for new Ecumenical, Gay-Friendly "Vatican Council"
Vatican III?
On the heels of essentially calling for a "Vatican III" council that would not only include heretics and pagans as active participants, it would also re-examine Catholicisms view of Sodomy.
It's interesting to note that his call was the precursor to the retired bishop of Sacramento, California, Francis Quinn being serenaded by the Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus at a gala honoring him.
In reference to a recent interview with the publication Inside East Sacramento, "Pointing to the dramatic changes made within the Catholic Church by Vatican II, Quinn asserts that it is time for a new council, this one dedicated to looking at human sexuality and its intersection with religion."
The notoriously liberal bishop went on to say, "The new council, he says, should involve the entire Catholic community as well as people of other faiths."

Of Course, Tower of Babel anyone?
Doesn't he realize the episcopal church will welcome him with open arms....legs....need I go on? He should accept their invitation rather rapidly before they disappear.
His, um, his grace is correct. There should be a VIII. If only for some serious fumigation of the Church. Damn termites and vermin!
I keep getting the image of Quinn, skipping, sashaying, and waving his arms about; all the while giving this interview [Hey. Are those show tunes playing in the background? Judy Garland? Liza? Oy!]. I wonder what part of denying oneself in order to follow Our Lord that prelates of Quinn's ilk, just don't get...much less model for their flocks.
I like LarryD's suggestion @ his blog. Let's have Trent II generously applying "Anathema sit!" to what this liberal Bishop & his buddies are promoting.
It would be nice if we were able to just walk up to this prelate, tell him what we think, and them tar and feather him.
As it is, we're only allowed to publicize his stupidity.
It's interesting--the better we do at pointing things like this out, the more certain bishops and lay employees of the USCCB gripe about the 'net.
I believe the phrase is "Anathema Sit!"
