What Does The Obamaniac Administration & The USCCB Have In Common?
Equally gutless against Iran
It's not exactly a newsflash that DingleBarry turns Nelson's Eye to Islamofascists. Should it come as a surprise that our own fearless leaders are mum? What.. no outrage from the USCCB?
Here's some of the article from CNSNews.com; (Emphasis mine)
Silence From U.S. and Its Allies Allowed Iran to Get Seat on U.N. Women’s Rights Body
(CNSNews.com) – The United States and 12 other Western democracies kept silent this week as Iran was nominated for membership of the United Nations’ Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), thus enabling Iran to get the seat.
Iran’s unchallenged election, at a meeting in New York Wednesday, came just over a week after Iranian media quoted a senior Islamic cleric in Tehran as saying that immodest dress and behavior by women was to blame for an increase in earthquakes.
Had one of the Western countries in the chamber – or any other ECOSOC member – protested, a secret ballot vote would have been called for, putting to the test Iran’s ability to win the required majority of at least 28 votes. But the U.S., Canada, Australia and 10 European countries raised no objection, and the meeting elected Iran “by acclamation.”
Under Iranian law, the testimony of a woman in court is worth half as much as that of a man, it said. “Women sometimes received disproportionate punishment for crimes such as adultery, including death sentences.”
The report also noted that for a rape victim to secure a conviction against her assailant, she requires the testimony of four men (or three men and two women), and that anyone found to have brought false allegations of rape faces 80 lashes. Interesting to note, in Iran women get arrested and go to prison for being suntanned. Hmmm... looks like The Status of Women in Iran is somewhat lower than that of animals.
Nice backbone DingleBarry. Nice backbone USCCB. I'm sure women everywhere have taken note.

I think it is very plausible that women cause earthquakes. :-)) Or should I say, the naked, nubile ones cause men to shake so hard that earthquakes result. Bad women! Bad, bad, bad . . . ! LOL
Just as long as they are not sun tanned, I have no objection to their earthquaking behaviors.
Where is NOW and all the other big-mouth women's lib organizations on this one?
So... in Iran if you're raped you have to have been raped in front of a captive audience? That did nothing to intervene? And then they are expected to go to court and admit that they just stood there and watched while you were being violated?
Riiiight.
Americanistan before we know it.
The only positive I can say about this is that at least they won't be pushing for greater abortion rights for women. Pretty sad when that is the best spin I can put on it.
Actually, this is just following in past UN presidence of putting the people that need to be watched in charge of the hen house.
