I really like Lt Col West. He's currently running for Congress in Florida's 22d District. He's the same guy that was asked a few days ago if he might know what's up with DingleBarry's incessant bowing. The Colonel's response was words to the effect of "if you have no backbone, it's easy to flail forward".
If you're unfamiliar with Lt Col Allen West, US Army (Ret), I strongly suggest you watch this video. You won't be disappointed.
Only one thing I wish the good Colonel would have said -- all three victories he cited were Catholic victories.

The colonel is absolutely correct, both historically and philosophically. Three cheers for the colonel, and three cheers for you for posting this!!

Colonel West gave a speech toward the end of 2009 at the Revolution Nightclub, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was brilliant. He asserted American values, a plan for real progress and victory, and a lesson in American history. He even included a little Marine-history tidbit. 'Just loved that he trashed Alinsky.
Like +Ronaldus Magnus before him, West was clear about what it means to be an American. West clearly points out that it's not about waiting for big-daddy government [or the godling], to come fill your gas tank, put food on the table, or pay your mortgage. He specifically cited that woman, who during an Obama 2008 Presidential campaign stop said, that she wouldn't have work to have needs met because the godling would take care of it all.
BTW, the Poles, under King Sobieski, fought in the Battle of Vienna. The world owes a lot to that scrappy little Catholic country, Poland. Placed in between Germany and Russia. And yet, Poland has done what her to mighty neighbors have not been able to do: Keep the Muslims out!
Thank you for posting this. The more you and other bloggers post these kind of clips, the more the 'people' will realize that there are intelligent, rational, educated and thoughtful leaders out there.
They just aren't in the mainstream, and the MSM will never cover them.
I pray to God that more men and women will willingly stand out of the crowd to lead for the rest of us.
We can't all subject ourselves to the media scrutiny/rectal exam that comes along with public office. We can sure as heck stand behind those that do and support them!

YOu are correct - in fact if King Sobieski hadn't shown up with the vaunted Polish cavalry when he did, historians say the battle would have gone the other way and the Moslems would have continued on to Paris and all of Europe.
