The Pentagon Channel featured this report on Vietnam Purple Heart and MOH recipient chaplain, Fr. Vincent Robert Capodanno, LT, CHC, USNR. Interviewed are Navy chaplain Fr. Daniel Mode, author of The Grunt Padre, and Vice-Postulator Mrs. Mary Preece.

There's yet another military chaplain who may have a cause for sainthood pending (albeit a stalled cause) -- an Irish Jesuit who served with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, 16th Irish Division and was killed at Ypres in 1917. His dream was to become a Jesuit martyr, and he died a martyr of charity in the First World War. You can read the biography of Fr. William Doyle, S.J. online in its entirety:
