How Sweet It Is
Navy beats Notre Dame
There was a time when the service academies were not known for outstanding football teams. Is yesterday's loss to Navy a sign of the midshipmen's improved ability or further evidence of that Notre Dame's athletic program is as weak as the school's loyalty to Catholic doctrine?

It's due to God's punishment for changing the name of that formerly-august institution to "Notre Shame."
Anyway. Go Navy!
Consequential judgment in my book, baby. Better coaching and judgment, too, on Navy's part. Cheers
Go Navy!
Damn Hawkeyes.
Altar Boy, how about both????
As for Mr. Nandell's "Damn Hawkeyes." I have to ask what he has against us?
Al,
Nothing at all. I graduated from Iowa and am a huge fan. I'm just mad they lost this weekend.
As a Hoosier, and a vet, my two favorite teams are Army, and whoever plays Notre Dame.
YOu wouldn't believe the number of rural, working class Mackeral Snappers 'round here who despise Notre Dame and think we should give it to the Unitarians!
The NDU players couldn't see because they were looking down in shame.
C'mon now, is it really fair to take it out on the football players?
Yes.
Maybe the football team should pack up and sign on with some other college that does not have a team.
