Forget About Reading A 2,000 Page Health Care Bill...
How about just reading the Constitution!
The Democrats are simply living on another planet. A 7th Grader knows the answers to the painfully simple questions posed to the honorable Senator and Representative... but for whatever bizarre reason, they either make it up as they go along, or deflect and attempt to intimidate.
This is the Hope & Change you asked for, America.
Here's the jist of an article from CNSNews.com;
Constitution Tells Congress 'to Provide for the Health' of the Country, Says Sen. Burris
(CNSNews.com) - when asked by CNSNews.com what specific part of the Constitution authorizes Congress to mandate that individuals must purchase health insurance, Sen. Roland Burris (D-Ill.) pointed to the part of the Constitution that he says authorizes the federal government "to provide for the health, welfare and the defense of the country." In fact, the word "health" appears nowhere in the Constitution.
And then the height of arrogance --

Either Burris is a certified idiot or else he is a certified liar. In either case Burris is certifiable.
He compares auto insurance to health insurance: Guess he doesn't get it about auto insurance is a public liability issue, and health insurance is a private issue.
Or, hey wait, now that the govt is attempting to shoot everyone with swine flu vaccine, and penalize them if they don't get it, then I guess that is how the govt sees us all ... as liable.
Govt, thus, has now decided that each citizen is liable for what goes wrong.
Had the Nazi's only put that into law before the Nuremburg trials, then they'd have all got off scott free by claiming they were only followink ordurs.
Mass liability ... that's it, isn't it? That is what the damned govt is up to, blaming the citizens for all the problems. What a bunch of criminals we have for elected officials. But how stupid the voters who put them into office! They are the ones to blame ... the damned liberal voters.
Liberal voters should have to pay for everyone else, and conservative voters should not have to pay at all.
Can we just require these clowns read the Constitution before they swear to protect and defend it? Maybe before they get to draw a paycheck?
I should think that would be sufficient.
