This young lady is something else. I just love the twin contending approaches: racial justice vs. racial pimping.
I hope Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are taking notes.
She really shouldn't give Gates the idea to go after his neighbors.
Seems to me she is jumping to conclusions. She says the neighbor is racially profilling because they should have known the black that was shoving their way in the front door next store. Why is it that they should know their neighbor on sight and be able to recognize them with back packs from a distance. I think the neighbor should be thanked for calling in the call that it appeared that two men were forcing their way into the house. If asked to describe them, it could easily have been two black guys with backpacks. How is law enforcement supposed to work if there is not a description given and it would seem skin and hair color, etc is a good place to start since clothing can be easily changed. We are having grandma searched at airporst because we cannot search those who have committed the crimes that causes the airline danger, young muslim men. Blacks are about 13% of the population and make up about 30% of those in jail and while there could be a few percentage that are there by issue of race, they are still there double their population and black neighborhoods have most of the city crime.
She may have been off base with her comments about the person who called the police, but she had some good things to say too.
I still think the press made this worse than it should have been because Dr. Gates is a nationally prominent "public" intellectual.

Well gang, I may not agree with EVERYTHING she says, but the bottom line of what she says couldn't be more on target.
As you may guess, my favorite line, of so many good ones was the bit about racial pimping. That is exactly what those people like Jackson & Sharpton are doing.
