What In The World Is THAT!!??
One thing's for sure... it's uuuuuuuug-ly!

1. A coffee mug handle for people with freakishly large hands?

2. That thang that burst out of John Hurt's stomach in the movie Alien?

3. An outward sign of God's Covenant with the Hebrew People?

4. A statue of the Madonna and The Child Jesus?

The answer is disturbingly found here.

Stolen print of stripper Virgin pits school, artistic freedom

Looking back, trouble seemed likely when an artwork depicting a stripper as the Virgin Mary went on display last month at the University of Dallas.

And trouble sure came, though the artist says she was making a point about perceptions and didn't intend anything sacrilegious.

The artwork – a print – prompted complaints from students at the Catholic college in Irving. Then, on Feb. 14, it was discovered missing from a school gallery.

It still hasn't been found, and campus police are investigating the case as a theft. Meanwhile, students, alumni and others have been weighing in, though some never got a chance to see the print and have had to rely on descriptions.

University president Frank Lazarus, in particular, has been criticized by alumni who feel he erred by not ordering the print removed after he got a look at it.

"It was imprudent of him to leave it up," said Tom Lagarde, a member of the Class of '97 and secretary of the school's national alumni board.

"Regardless of what the artist's message was ... the means she used were illicit, at least for Catholics."

Dr. Lazarus didn't respond to requests for an interview. But earlier he released a statement denouncing the apparent theft and acknowledging the school's struggle to balance academic and artistic freedom with preservation of "Catholic character."
What a gutless puke.

My guess is #4 - A statue of the Madonna and Child - probably near the altar at some place like I.C. in Durham. It certainly does spark one's devotion.... (to Sigourney Weaver movies).

A--this would make good marble chip mulch for a rose garden devoted to our lady.

B--this form of representational Art, when done in a hospital setting, is evidence of schizophrenia.

C--the "artist" needs a sound beating for insulting Our lady.

I think I.R. is on to something with C. I think that it is most appropriately used to thump dumbass artists that try to pass trash of as tributes to our Lady.

I will praise the artist for only one thing. That it was not directly blasphemous like the painting someone did depicting out Lady as a stripper.

If I ever running to the ass monkey who did that painting I will end up in jail.

This guy however, is simply a talentless artistic quack.

This child, on the other hand is the real deal.

Rare talent from God. She is only now just 12 or 13. The interesting story is that she grew up in an atheist home but for some reason had herself always believed in God. She simply paints what God give her to paint. Now her whole family is Christian.

Unfortunately she didn't throw water on Oprah when they met so let keep little Akiane in our prayers.

Centuries of renowned painters create portraits of the Madonna & Child and now we have descended to this?

The surest and quickest way an artist can gain notoriety is to create sacrilegious art. So many have done this already, vaulting their mediocre sorry selves into the bilious clouds of the sycophantic media - who are only too happy to accomodate the "artist's" enormous lack of creativity.

My Archdiocese is using:

as its poster for the annual procession in honour of Our Lady. It's called "contemporary"... judge for yourselves...
