God help the 2008 Dem Veep candidate

Anyone remember who was on the Democratic Party ticket back in 2000? For those who forgot, it was Al Gore and Joe Lieberman. OK, now does anyone remember who comprised the Dems ticket back in 2004? Yep... John Kerry and John Edwards.
Now the fun part...
Does anyone remember how the Democratic Party treated Joe Lieberman after he came out in favor of the war in Iraq? For those who forgot, he was treated like dog crap. He instantaneously became a persona non grata. In fact, he was so ostracized by his own party, that when he ran for re-election to the senate just a handful of years after his failed run at the Vice Presidency, the heavy-hitters in the Democratic party (Sens. Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Charles Schumer and Russ Feingold) endorsed his opponent, Ned Lamont.
Remember... Lieberman was their Veep candidate just a few years earlier.
Now let's fast-forward to 2004. Kerry-Edwards. Didn't I just do a posting on how John Kerry has endorsed Barack Obama over his own former running mate? I sure did.
Less than four short years ago, John Edwards was the guy who eventually was to be groomed to be the President of the United States, if all went well. You know, Kerry wins 2-terms as Prez, and it's Edwards waiting in the wings. And as we all know, that (thankfully) failed to materialize.
The loyalty, or lack thereof, displayed to Lieberman and Edwards is telling to say the least. You know, if the Democrats don't even give a shit about their own people... what makes you think they'll give a shit about you?

What do you expect from a party that universally endorsed the practice of mothers paying clinicians to murder their kids?
Loyalty is just another word to them, a word for not being a law unto themselves.
