The Great Liberal Denial
And 9/11 wasn't suppose to happen either

The following was sent to me from a friend who recently attended a seminar concerning the possibility of a terrorist attack on our children. Unfortunately, I can't post the PowerPoint presentation on the blog, so I'll just type out each slide. For greater specifics, click here.

For once, I'm not going to place any emphasis on certain points brought up nor will I insert my own personal comments. Just reading this rather sterile PPP is still enough to send chills up your spine. Especially the last two slides.

(slide 1)

Mass Slaughter in Our Schools

The Terrorists' Chilling Plan
By Chuck Remsberg

____________________________________________________________
(slide 2)

Terrorist Attack Plan

- Preparation for attacks on American Schools are well underway in Islamic terrorist camps
- The terrorists have warned us that they will attack our schools
- They have already begun testing school-related targets in the U.S.
- For terrorists, "a successful attack is one we are not ready for." Lt. Col. Dave Grossman

____________________________________________________________
(slide 3)

Why Schools?

Our Values
- The most sacred thing to us are our children
- Killing hundreds of children will boots the terrorist's morale and lower ours, leaving us stunned
Our Lack of Preparation
- Police deal with crime, but school attacks are war
- Police are the first line of defense. Are we ready?
- If a large scale school attack occurs, parents will stay home. The economy will be devastated.

____________________________________________________________
(slide 4)

How Do We Know They Are Coming?

- Al-Qaeda has said that they have the right to kill two million American Children
- Al-Qaeda terrorists have been video-taped practicing school takeovers and issuing commands in English
- Islamic religious literature condones killing children if it is done for the "general good"
-Target scouting and infiltration efforts have already occurred

____________________________________________________________
(slide 5)

The Terrorists' Tactical Model

- A dress rehearsal has already taken place in 2004 in Beslan, Russia. 172 children were killed.
- Large buildings with complicated floor plans are preferred. They are harder to assault.
- Terrorists' weapons included AK-47s, sniper rifles, rocket propelled grenades and explosives.
- In Beslan, 1,000 people were held hostage by 100 terrorists for three days without food or water.
- Women and older children were repeatedly raped.
- Adult males and large boys were made to help fortify the school, then they were shot.

____________________________________________________________
(slide 6)

The Terrorists' Tactical Model

- Attempts at negotiation by responders were used by the terrorists to buy time to fortify the school.
- All entrances and many stairwells were booby trapped with explosives.
- Children were used as shields by snipers.
- The terrorists used amphetamines to stay awake.
- When troops stormed the building, troops and children were gunned down mercilessly
- Explosions started many fires.
- Trip wires connected to explosives slowed down the assault.
- Escaping terrorists tried to blend in with the locals.

____________________________________________________________
(slide 7)

What's Likely Here?

- Terrorist cells of four operatives each will strike simultaneously at four different schools.
- Middle schools without police presence are preferred. The girls are big enough to rape and the students are not big enough to fight back.
- Preferred targets will be states that do not allow concealed carry of firearms, have no hunting culture, and where the police do not carry rifles.
- Rural areas are favored because of the delayed response time for police to arrive in force.

____________________________________________________________
(slide 8)

What's Likely Here?

- As they seize the school, the attackers will initially kill every teacher and student they see.
- They will rape, murder and toss the bodies outside like was done in Russia.
- They will plant bombs throughout the school.
- Emergency responders and fleeing children will be blown up by car bombs in the parking lot.
- 100 to 300 children will be killed in the first strike.
- The terrorists are likely already here, many having crossed over the border with Mexico.

I really wish this weren't so plausible, or probable.

I expect this sort of thing to happen after the the 08 election. By provoking us into rash actions, the Jihadist murderers are able to fuel the outrage of their own people, and they're running out of miliage from the current administration, especially in Europe and the US--news and proaganda repeated gets old. By starting a new cycle of fear within the US, and claiming a great "victory" against the kuffir, they can energize their base, and intimidate dissenting muslims back home.

I'v been afraid of this for a while.

I'm also afraid that we may have to engage in a war of extermination, that we might lose. I think that this is a sgn of the Anti-Christ.

(Yep, I'm an ignorant, paranoid, redneck!)

No sick joke. Just remember... these guys aren't warriors, they're terrorists. What better way to terrorize us all other that killing our children?

Paula,
This most certainly can (and I believe will) happen in the US.

remember, it wasn't all that long ago that no one ever could have believed that 3,000 Americans would be either crushed to death, roasted to death or blown into a million pieces on a cool September morning.

This scenario was the subject of an LEO conference in the last few months.

One minor flaw (not fatal) to the plan--there are only TWO States which ban Concealed carry: Wisconsin and Illinois. But both have a fairly serious "hunting culture."

Regardless, the tactics are eminently workable.

Of course, if it happens locally, there will be plenty of well-armed parents available to the LEO's; let's hope some LEO planning includes utilization of such folks.

What scares me the most is that the more divided our country appears, the more likely it is that this kind of attack will occur.

I was living in Westchester County, NY when Beslan occurred (also saw the second plane hit the tower while walking from my subway stop in downtown Manhattan in 2001, etc). After the Beslan attack I thought, “well at least they would never try that here in the good ‘ole US of A because Mecca would be on the table as a target.”

I don’t think that way anymore. The Democrats, Code Pink, the ACLU, et al, are furiously trying to prove Bin Laden correct when he calls us a paper tiger. The more we look like a paper tiger, the more we are an inviting target.

One more point; At the beginning of the Washington Sniper drama, I thought it possible that it was a deranged ex-military guy, but when I heard that they shot a little kid getting off a school bus on the third day, I knew that somehow a guy named “Muhammad” was involved.

I believe that what was described was simply a "best case scenario".

I wasn't aware that Wisc. and Ill. banned concealed weaps. The first thought that came to my mind when I first read this, was rural Mass. or possibly even someplace along the lines of Long Island (as we both know, very liberal and none too 2d Ammendment friendly).

From what I understand, Massacheussetts has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the country, and many of the bedroom communities on LI aren't too far behind.

Yep, and in direct violation of our Constitution, which says we have the right to keep and bear arms for protection of self and property.

There was a recent case of a man named Vega who carried a gun and shot two would-be robbers while Mr. Vega worked delivery routes in some of Milwaukee's worst neighborhoods. He was charged for carrying a concealed weapon, but a judge dismissed the charges recently. The DA did not reissue charges, an indication they fear the ban may be overturned.

Regarding this post - yes, it will probably happen in America. Liberals and Democrats do not care about life in the womb, they see children as future tax payers and accessories to be created and destroyed when it is convenient or inconvenient, respectively. Millions of children have been killed by the terrorism known as abortion.

If a Democrat wins in 2008, and this happens, say GOODBYE to America and hello to the caliphate.

It's time we stop this nonsense and protect our children.

Paint me a liberal then, but this is simply irresponsible fear-mongering.

Everybody complains about the US having such a porous border. It's been 6 years since 9/11. Why hasn't this happened already?

The Beslan terrorists were Chechen separatists. They had completely different goals than Al Qaeda.

"Preferred targets will be states that do not allow concealed carry of firearms, have no hunting culture, and where the police do not carry rifles." Yeah, like the police are going to allow the locals to line up and take pot-shots at the terrorists because they sadly don't have enough guns themselves. That would sure make us feel manly.

The only reference I could find about rape and Beslan was in the article that apparently spawned that slideshow: - http://www.killology.com/art_mass_slaughter.htm. Maybe somebody else is better at searching for these things than I am. I wouldn't want to think they were being inflammatory or anything.

Right... and anyone who said Sept 10th, 2001 and prior who stated that a handful of moslem terrorists armed with box-cutters and pocket knives woulod kill thousands, were just "fear-mongering", right?

BTW, the slaughter at Beslan really happened. The terrorists admitting they want to kill millions of American children is true. The very same terrorists have been video taped practicing for an assault on an English speaking school.

But it's all just fear-mongering, right?

was in the article that apparently spawned that slideshow: - http://www.killology.com/art_mass_slaughter.htm

You've got it backwards. Killology simply printed information from the seminar... not the other way around.

Sounds to me like mr. neutron thinks the guys who cooked up the second amendment were “irresponsible fear mongerers” also. OK, you win; we’ll paint you a liberal. Just ask and we can paint you something else if you’d like.

Why have we gone so long without a major attack? Mr. neuron indicates muslim terrorist are as fake as the bogeyman. The reason it has been so long without an attack is because maybe because we’ve foiled them, you think? Additionally, they’re kinda busy trying to survive the onslaught of our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. Just a reminder; the first attack on the WTC was in 1993. The second attack on the WTC was in 2001. I’ll bet the next major attack occurs around (2001 minus 1993 equals 8) 8 years from the last major attack. Around 2009. Oops, sorry for the irresponsible fear mongering.

Beslan was no biggie because they hardly raped anybody before they murdered them. At least the evidence wouldn’t hold up very well in a court of law. In fact in mr. neutrons little part of the universe, the scanty evidence he has managed to collect is probably inadmissible and would be thrown out by the judge.

In the end he brings up Faith AND Reason, and then complains that a few people are discussing the next terrorist attack, something that is we all know is going to happen eventually in one form or another.

“The Beslan terrorists were Chechen separatists. They had completely different goals than Al Qaeda.”…
who had completely different goals than Hamas/Iran in 1984…
who had completely different goals than the Turks at Lepanto…
who had completely different goals than the Algerians at Tours…
who had completely different goals than the Al Asqua Martyr’s Brigade,

They all sound like separatists when you look at it that way. They just want to separate your kid’s heads from their bodies.

But who cares what the idiots in the State Capitol require in this regard?

By all means my head is not buried in the sand, as you so nicely put :)
Living here in the Tri-State area I am very well aware of how poor the security is in this country...it really has not improved greatly since 9/11 (sad to say).
And yes I agree we are fighting a war, but to target children I find horrible! I think as a parent I have a right to wish that this was a cruel joke but as resident of this country I know that it is not one!
So how about leaving the insults back at the barracks? :) It is safe to say that most of us are on the same side and there is no need for attacks, I could be mistaken though.

It is not fear mongering to consider the very real possibility of an attack on schools in the U.S. given the following:

30 June 2004
Mohamad Kamal Elzahabi, identified by the FBI as a suspected terrorist prior to the September 11th attacks, obtained a license to haul hazardous materials and a license to drive a school bus in Minnesota in 2002.

04 September 2004
Omar Bakri Mohammed, the spiritual leader of the extremist sect al-Muhajiroun in the United Kingdom, said that holding women and children hostage would be a reasonable course of action for Muslim terrorists with a just cause. (Note that this was at the same time as the Beslan massacre.)

08 October 2004
In September, the same month as the Beslan massacre, federal authorities notified school districts in six states that a computer disc was found in Iraq contained photos, floor plans, and other information about their schools.

15 October 2004
Due to the possibility of terrorist activity, the Arizona Department of Public Safety has asked school bus drivers throughout the state to "pay particular attention to any unusual activity around school buses; to unusual vehicles; to vehicles repeatedly seen in the vicinity; and, to any vehicles or individuals in unauthorized locations."

28 October 2004
Abdalla Deiab, a former Clearwater man who tried to buy an old ambulance and two surplus police cruisers from St. Petersburg College in August, is an "affiliate of a terrorist organization," according to police documents.

Those are all within two months of the Beslan massacre, but they are by no means the only instances over the past several years of possible attempts to test our security or to put people in place to carry out the enemy's attacks. They can apply for licenses, case facilities, and attempt to purchase vehicles to see what security they need to circumvent in order to not be noticed when they want to perform these tasks in the future. Further, they will want their assets in place well in advance, so as to not draw attention to themselves when the call to commit terror comes in.

Unfortunately, in our hyper-P.C. environment, when law enforcement and intelligence agencies are actually proactive in looking at these instances and trying to connect the dots, groups like CAIR, MAS, or the ACLU step in and scream that those proactive measures constitute a civil-rights violation (you know, fear mongering). That creates an additional layer of cover for the terrorists to hide behind, knowing that they can scream foul if their actions seem innocuous enough.

Also, keep in mind that the September 11th attacks were planned in advance, and they were one plot amongst many others. We stopped many, but not that one. School attacks haven't happened because either we stopped them, or the terrorists aren't ready yet.

The Beslan terrorists were Chechen separatists. They had completely different goals than Al Qaeda.

Not true. Al Qaeda and Chechen terrorists have been working together since the 1990s. Here is a quick piece from a USATODAY article about al Qaeda ties to the Beslan massacre.

In recent months, radical Islamic Chechen leaders such as Shamil Basayev, along with terrorist leader Osama bin Laden, have been "clear" about wanting to "set Russia on fire," said Michael Radu, a terrorism expert at the Foreign Policy Research Institute in Philadelphia. But he added, "This is not an al-Qaeda operation. These are autonomous groups," he said. "It's not like bin Laden wrote the checks. But they are synchronized ideologically and strategically."

The conceal-carry issue is a concern to the terrorists because it provides the possibility of individuals who would be able to fight back with lethal force instead of being unarmed targets. When the terrorists are already operating in small numbers, it doesn't take many casualties to turn a manageable situation into one where the intended victims have the upper hand or the plan cannot be carried out. If there are ten terrorists, and the good guys neutralize only two of them, then the terrorists have their group down 20%. Further, if the two dead terrorists were needed for any technical purpose that the remaining eight weren't cross-trained on, then their plan may not be able to be implemented further. Conceal-carry states increase the chance of soft targets not being soft, so they are an issue for terrorists.

Rifles allow precision shots from a greater distance than sidearms and shotguns. Police who carry them have had at least some training with the weapon. First responders carrying rifles will be more likely to be able to ventilate a terrorist from distance and cover before the terrorists have an opportunity to entrench themselves. This one should be self-explanatory.

Areas with a hunting culture will have a greater likelihood of having high-powered, semi-automatic rifles with scopes in multiple homes. Further, those who have access to those firearms are most likely proficient in their use. In rural areas with hunting cultures, you will be more likely to have a higher number of firearms per member of the population. Now, this does not mean that they are concerned that the police will let the local population "line up and take pot-shots at the terrorists." The terrorists would target rural areas due to the lack of a large or well-equipped police force. When there is a hunting culture there, instead of a bedroom community, then the concern for the terrorists becomes one of the locals removing law enforcement and taking matters into their own hands. The law may catch-up with well-armed, rural vigilantes, but not until after at least some of the terrorists have been taught a very painful lesson about attacking children.

Evil does exist, but that's no excuse to go off the deep end and stop using the brain that the good Lord gave us.

Evil does exist, and doing something to try to identify and counter it is not going off the deep end. You need to learn a little something about sigint and counter-terrorism. By suggesting that identifying very possible targets of our enemy is nothing more than fear mongering, and presenting such scenarios as an instance in which the presenter has ceased to utilize his brain, then you are providing a cultural cover for the terrorists much in the same way as CAIR or the ACLU provide them a legal cover. Stop aiding and abetting those who would kill us and ours, Mr. Neutron, and start working against the evil that has attacked us before and hopes to do so again.

I don't understand why they haven't done it. If they want martyrdom, they can follow the example of the guy that attacked the Amish school. Just go in and open fire. Maybe they're catching the idea that our nation doesn't value children because we allow them to be butchered in the womb, and because families that do have kids only have one or two.

Maybe they've changed their minds and decided to attack shopping malls. An attack at Pier 1 imports or Pottery Barn would spark a good finger wagging, or a boycott on their rugs.

To provoke a harsh response from us, maybe they'd attack that most sacred gathering - a Sunday NFL game.

Seriously though, I don't understand how hard it would be, except that urban schools have metal detectors and quick police response, and rural ones have a hunting culture, even in MA. That's where I am. Outside of college towns and their suburbs, and Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, there is a hunting culture, although maybe not as strong as other places. Outsiders would probably be noticed, unless they adopt a strategy out of the show 24 where a family is a sleeper cell.

I pray it doesn't happen, and that if it does, people will wise up to the reality of evil, rise to the occasion, and get back to God.
Prayer is our most powerful weapon, even though we shouldn't neglect all the others at our disposal.
