LONDON, November 20, 2006 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Terry Grange, the leading officer on child protection of the UK's Association of Chief Police Officers' has ignited controversy by commenting in an interview with The Sunday Times that pornography featuring children at 13 years of age should not be considered child porn. Grange also said that the term "pedophiles" should only apply to adults who have sex with 12 and under.

The 'Charity, Freedom and Diversity' (NVD) party of the Netherlands formed last Spring introduced itself to Dutch politics as a champion of children's rights. In a press release, the NVD's spokesman and co-founder, Ad van den Berg said among their goals is lowering the age of consent for sexual activity from 16 to 12 and eventually eliminating it completely. What in the world is going on in the UK!?!
I don't know the context of the original article, but "pedophilia" refers only to the sexual attraction to pre-pubescent youngsters, which a 13-year-old may not be.
The more generic term for a pedophile is "pederast", but that term implies homosexual (for good reasons). And the media actually promotes the seduction of minors, so they can't complain about that.
Hence the use of the inaccurate term.

What’s going on here I'll tell you. Our media (particularly the BBC but also the rest) is plagued with every kind of perversion imaginable, and promotes their own particular favourite brand of ‘self expression’. Our Schools teach our kids how to use contraception at 11 yrs, that all religions are much the same and relative, and homosexuality is a valid lifestyle choice and to question it is homophobic and punishable by law. They also teach what a debt we owe to Islam and the Arab states for their great advances in medicine, culture, art etc.(the west had nothing to do with it apparently) Much of our youth is disaffected, uneducated, imbecilic, mostly drunk, diseased, drugged, violent and feckless. Vast numbers of our young girls/women are abortion addicted tramps or pregnant with no ambition, intention or will to get a husband, job or out of poverty. Our police are more interested in persecuting those who dare to question the sodomite’s agenda/ fining motorists/ marching in gay parades, along with the NHS and now the armed forces. Our future king is as mad as they come and determined to defend; well anything really providing it is not Christianity. Our industry is obsessed with inclusive agenda training and in banning any self expression or symbols of faith (but only if it is Christian). Our Councils cannot find the cash to provide public Christmas trees but can find 30K for light celebrating the festival of Id (what ever the **** that is). Our post office will not place Christian images on our stamps but snowmen and Santa’s so as not to offend anyone. Our criminals (levels of which are at an all time High) sue the Police/Government/Prison Service for not providing Addicts with drugs and our officials make out of court settlements with tax payer money. Our Judiciary thinks it should be independent of the Government and be allowed to make laws without recourse to parliament and gaols pensioners for not paying local tax in protest at local crime levels but releases a drunk driver after killing a family or three with a £100 fine and a 2 yr driving ban. Shall I go on…. Our Episcopal leadership is weak and we, like you are appalled at recent clerical transgressions and disclosures, enough said.
So if you have any Christian charity, please offer Masses and remember in your prayers the remaining good Christian folk of the UK. Believe me we need it.
