OK Bloglodytes, enough of the Yanks. The Cards have had their time in the sun. Even the Twinkies have been there plenty of times.

In a time when "the big teams" have multiple states as their fan base, I say it's time for us all to root for the underdog. Sheesh, the Padres have a whopping one county as their fan base!

C'mon guys, if this team isn't a Cinderella Story, I don't know what is. A bunch of over the hill players, and even more kids barely in their 20's. But boy... do they got heart!


And besides... what self respecting Catholic wouldn't root for a team who's official mascot is The Swingin' Friar, and who's name translates to The Saint Didacus Fathers?
