More news from the Chicks With Pyx front... but this time it's the ECUSA. Looks as if them whacky and wild Episcopalians are seriously considering ordaining Father... or is it Mother... or is it Reverend... or is it Ecclesiastical Presider of Undetermined Gender Bonnie Perry to be the next Head Honchoette of the Bishopric of California.
Oh, and did I mention that she's shacking up... with a woman? Her previous lecture presentations include: "How Body Piercing Can Enhance Your Congregation: Creative Liturgies to Reach Generation X". She is a certified kayaking instructor and describes herself as "a recreational tree climber and avid reader". Shouldn't that be avid tree hugger and recreational bush finder?
Well, it also seem that the Archbishop of Canterbury is going apoplectic and saying that if Presiderette Perry is made bishop, that it would cause an unraveling of the Anglican Church.
To my Anglican/Episcopalian friends out there... John Cardinal Newman had the right idea. C'mon over. I'll even pay the ferry costs for you to Cross the Tiber.

Interesting comment by the pretend "Bishop" of Canterbury. However, I can't help but wonder why this is any different from the earlier consecration of another pretend "bishop," that pole-smoking, turd-burgler, rump-ranger Williamson. He too was in a long-term "committed" relationship.
Well, that's OK. As long as a "meat-pounder" is in a "long term commitment," then it must be alright?
Please, for the love of God Himself, those who are part of this once great Christian denomination, now a pagan cult...come Home to the One, True Church. Cross the Tiber, and help us ride the Church of our own scurge of homo-priests, homo-bishops and homo-cardinals!

Hmm, the least she could do if she is in a same sex relationship is be in one with a fellow Episcopalian. But the United Church of Christ is one of those warm and fuzzy communities that has no theology.
I am being sarcastic, but I can't help but feel sorry for devout piskies who see their church taken over by the nuts. Swim the Tiber people, you are welcome here!
I think prevat2 meant Robinson, not Williamson. I have no truck with SSPXers (at least until the day Rome says they are kosher), but I have never heard that Williamson is of the same perversion as Robinson and Perry
The ECUSA is content to be in schism; they see no more need for Canterbury than they have for Rome. Too, the conservatives in their own church will bolt, and there will be battles over real estate.
This is already going on.
What will happen next hasn't started yet, but isn't hard to predict: the conservatives who have left ECUSA will splinter in a hundred directions, because while they're united in their refusal to have gay bishops, they differ on female priests, consubstantiation vs. transubstantiation, apostolic succession, and a whole list of other points.
Some will become Catholic, some will become some version of "American Anglicans", others will end up elsewhere.
The ECUSA will end up as a much smaller, but much more liberal church.
The heretics have no church. They have synagogues of Satan.
In other news, I don't know if body piercing can enhance a congregation, but I really think sewing zippers over the mouths of the average ex-nun DRE types would sure be an enhancement.

Allow me to be the first to say that I suffered from a sever case of the "dumb-ass" yesterday over coffee. I should have said "Bishop" Robinson, NOT Bishop Williamson. Although I do not belong to the SSPX, my heart goes out to them, and I would NEVER apply my "homo" comments to one of the four Bishops of the SSPX.
Please forgive this middle-aged Marine? (No more scotch with my morning coffee!)
Perry served in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in West Oakland and South Central LA. She may even be an apostatate.
