Enough...
Jesus and the "other gods"

When in the hell are Catholics going to grow a backbone and say "ENOUGH"!! The de facto NON-Catholic "community" of St. Ambrose in Buffalo, NY proudly displays their "Window Of Non-Christians. And it can only be described as disgusting.

God the Father and Son dominate the window. With outstretched arms, in traditional sign of sending the Spirit, they bless Moses and Mohammed pictured together in the center of the window. The familiar crescent hangs over the head of Mohammed. The falcon-headed character is a remnant of the mythological beliefs of ancient Egypt. He is identified as Horus, the son of Isis. The dancing and whirling figure to the right is the Hindu God Shiva. The final figure at the bottom center depicts the Prince Siddhartha Gautama, more familiarly known as the "Buddha."

This is simply beyond the pale... even for advanced Ecumaniacs like these heretical creeps at the St. Ambrose "community" (I guess the word "parish" is just a wee bit too Catholic). But hey... what the hell... pagan "gods" and a heretic in stained glass are good-to-go. By the way, did you notice how they spelled "god" with a capital "G" when referring to shiva? Interesting.

If you get a chance, make sure you check out their "Window of Christian Ecumenism". I love the way they state that Christianity is fractured between the One, True Church... the valid, yet schismatic Eastern Orthodox... invalid, schismatic and heretical Protestantism... and then they add a fourth; the just as invalid, schismatic and heretical Protestant as the rest of 'em Anglicans.

Yep, the Anglicans have been screaming for centuries that they are a VALID branch of Christianity. And Rome has been OFFICIALLY say that they aren't for just as long.

Hey folks at St. Ambrose... thanks for telling the English Martyrs that they died for nothing. St. Oliver Plunkett, St. Margaret Ward, St. Thomas More, St. John Fisher... all you hundreds and hundreds of Martyrs, you all died for absolutely nothing. Well, according to the Roman Protestants at St. Ambrose.
The window on Ecumenism is a special tribute to Pope John who was anxious to heal the rift between Protestants and Roman Catholics, a struggle often bitter in nature that has persisted since Reformation time in the 16th century. From the very beginning, Protestant, Anglo-Catholic and Orthodox Catholics were invited to be present at the Council in special seating in the oula of the Basilica. On November 21, 1964 the Council Fathers issued a decree on Ecumenism: "UNITATIS REDINTEGRATIO." The decree signalled the end of the counter-reformation and the beginning of a fresh attempt to heal the wounds of division. This window is a tribute to a wonderful Spirit of Ecumenism that exists in South Buffalo. The Lord Jesus is the centerpience joining in Spirit with men and women representatives of all Christian faiths. At the bottom stand two priests - one Orthodox, the other Roman. The evangelical figure in the center is proclaiming the Word. Surrounding Jesus and the human figures holding hands are the logos of every Protestant and Episcopal Church in South Buffalo. At the bottom center is the seal of Martin Luther. To the left is the logo of the United Methodist Church. Rising counterclockwise is the logo of the United Church of Christ. In the upper left center is the seal of the United Presbyterian Church;at the top left is the notional symbol of the American Baptist Church, and at the top right is the logo of the Episcopalian community.

This makes me wonder why the people at St. Ambrose still bother to call themselves Catholic.

Unbelieveable!!! The goal of the heretics and Protestants inside Vatican II continues to develop. Did you notice the recognition to the "Church Restoration Fund"? The probably sold the high altar, Communion rail, and all ther statues to pay for this abomination. One wonders where the local bishop was while this blasphemy occurred, but isn't he the "shepherd" (gag) with all the homosexual priests problems?

the guy in the brown suit looks like Jimmy Swaggart when he was arrested during his "Stripper-gate" episode a few years back...and to his right? Is that Pee Wee Herman?

You changed your site...I liked the black...it was in keeping with the sarcasm you employed so well...but that's just me.
By the way, by changing did you lose any links or other stuff you put on, or did you have to redo the template?

I didn't lose any links (at least I hope I didn't!). I did have to copy the old template so I could transfer the links and such.

Did I miss someone? Hope not!!

Where is David, his sling, and a rock when you need him? Those windows are awful and heretical.

The windows are a disgrace...

.. and so is I love the way they state that Christianity is fractured between the One, True Church... the valid, yet schismatic Eastern Orthodox... invalid, schismatic and heretical Protestantism... and then they add a fourth; the just as invalid, schismatic and heretical Protestant as the rest of 'em Anglicans.

With all the commentary on this blog about the failures IN the Catholic Church - you fail to acknowledge that it suffers from exactly the same things as those you label as being heretics and schismatics.

Anon (or should I say *NH*?),
First off, your post makes no sense. You state;

With all the commentary on this blog about the failures IN the Catholic Church - you fail to acknowledge that it suffers from exactly the same things as those you label as being heretics and schismatics.

When I refered to the folks at the so-called St. Ambrose Catholic Community as The de facto NON-Catholic "community", didn't that kind of give it away?

When I comment on the failures of individuals IN The Catholic Church, I acknowledge that the very same individuals suffer from the very same theological disease that inflicts the schismatics and heretics.

Look a little deeper than just a cursory glance. It's not that hard to see the obvious.

Outside of a few pockets of true Catholicism, there is little of it left in the Buffalo Diocese. All the neighboring dioceses are equally corrupt.

In the Olean, NY parish of St. Mary of the Angels Church, you have some of the most beautiful stained glass windows in the world but the Catholicism ends there. New Age, anti-American political views from the pulpit, piped in and EXTREMELY LOUD Irish country music during YOUR private time before Mass, EMHC abuse, Protestant parish programs, just to mention a few. It is just disgraceful. "Disgraceful" = devoid of Grace. Bingo!

I have always been outraged by the terrible windows of St. Ambrose, commissioned by a pastor of dubious distinction, God rest his soul. Very marginally Catholic parish, thanks to the Monsignor of memory.
