Interesting story in the Washington Post, Click Here. Seems that some of the conductors on the Disoriented Express (psychologists and the rest of the "it's all in your head" crowd) want "extreme bias" labeled as a mental illness.
Not that I've ever trusted psychologists. They're nothing more than sociologists with a really snotty attitude. But anyhow, extreme bias as a mental illness? Isn't that what good old Uncle Joe Stalin did in the Soviet Union? If you disagree with Communism, you must be insane... so it's off to the Looney Bin.
A little closer to home, when a "renegade" priest in the Archdiocese of Houston celebrated the Latin Mass without the Archbishops permission Click Here, "It was further suggested that Fr. Zigrang may want to seek psychiatric counseling during this time". Hmmm... a Catholic priest actually desires to adhere to centuries and centuries of Catholic tradition, and he now needs psychiatric counseling? Interesting.OK, I'll come clean... I have rather extreme bias towards certain things. I believe in the following;
- The Apostles Creed
- Catholicism is the One, True Church
- All Seven Sacraments
- That God gave us 10 Commandments, not 10 Suggestions
- Homosexuality is a morally wrong

"Archbishop Fiorenza Kicks Out Priest Because Of Latin Masses"
The scorched earth campaign against Latin is downright scary. I am obviously not one to say that the Tridentine Mass is the only legit form of worship but any priest who wants to say it should be able to without having to worry about this crap. It's all the more sad because it is aparant that the re-birth and popularity of Latin Masses is one of the great succes stories of the past few years of the Catholic Church in America.
I myself had my own bizzare experience at the hands of more liberal parishioners who wanted nothing to do with Latin. Hmm thats a little crytpic of a point, I think I'll post on what I mean later on my blog.
PS- As for the "PC Gestapo" I think they'd be in for more than they bargined for if they came after a Marine DI, ha ha.
